You added the second fan so you have push pull. This helped cooling mine no end.

If not then just find out the IP using and CMD or CLI command depending on youre operating system. There are many free tools can help you figure out IP's that are connected. just google them :-)

Can you ping it on the ip you set?

In short don't. You need to do some research.

Its nearly impossible to generate BTC with a laptop.

ASICS are the only way to generate bitcoins with any chance of profit.
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Multiple S1 Setup - FiOS - Assigning IPs? on: August 26, 2014, 12:36:41 PM
Yea assign them static or just reserve the IP they get allocated in the router
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S2 Antminers won't connect to router with new settings: Request Networking help. on: August 26, 2014, 12:29:34 PM
Once you access them via you're laptop can you not just set them to DHCP so they auto configure?

If so then just check you're router to see what IP address they get assigned and access them through that.

You can then always reserve that IP in the router and they will always be assigned it.

Hope this helps

Oh and does anyone know the max speed?
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Fan Speed on: August 24, 2014, 08:52:20 PM
Hi sorry if this has been covered I cant find it doing a search.

Is there a way to control the fan speed. My Antminer is running a little hot if I can turn the fan speed up hopefully it will help.

Thanks in advance

I setup my own node as my latency to other nodes seems high. Never mind I guess I will continue on a normal pool for the time being.

I just liked the idea of the 0.5% block finder payment.

I know my odds were next to none but would be nice for a new small miner like myself to re-invest.

You said you downloaded Bitcoin so Im guessing that's what your going to mine.

Well basically don't all you will do is wear out you're hardware and run up your electricity bill.

You might have a chance with an altcoin e.g. litecoin but I don't do this so cant help.

14  Bitcoin / Mining support / P2pool Help please on: August 19, 2014, 09:03:28 AM
Hi all new to this site and mining.

I bought a Antminer S1 and U1. Connected it to CEX.IO and all was well.

I thought id try to set up a P2pool after reading about it. Its connected and my miners connected to it. I can see there accepting shares.

Its been running for 24hrs and still has: Shares: 0 total (0 orphaned, 0 dead) Efficiency: Huh.

Should I be worried, are Gh's not enough for p2pool(currently 202Gh's)?

Thanks for reading and any advice.
