1  Other / Serious discussion / Re: I've been having suicidal thoughts. on: September 11, 2025, 07:01:58 PM
Recently I had the stupidest idea in my lifetime, I jumped into the solana ecosystem. Yep, you can guess what happened, I have lost all of my money trying to make it there. More than 30k which doesnt sound like a lot but from where im from it really is.

All of my struggles gone in a matter of weeks, my stupidity got the best of me and I couldnt control myself, couldnt stop myself. I have had some thoughts since then, not the best ones. Im ashamed of what I did and im hopeless, how am I going to tell my family about this, how do I tell them I lost everything and im a fuckup.. I have been having these thoughts the past few days, seems more and more appealing to me. Ive always struggled with my mental health but never like this. It feels like im hanging from a cliff with no end. The only good option is to let go.

Idk why im writing this here, i guess this forum is the place where I started my journey in crypto, and this is where I chose to end it too.

Hey man as someone who has lost money and made quite a some on the Solana eco system money is something to never take your life over I have been in a bad mind set before and always reminded myself that I have the people around me and tmrw is always a new day to start again and to stay away from memecoins did that for a while got into cult coins did super well and rotated to longterm crypto tokens and bitcoin

Loshi, do you have unlimited and free electricity?

I am also in some really good short-med term plays on SOL and once I dump 12-16K in profits im gonna buy 25 S19 Duel boards to fit into all these homes etc

also with other token plays buy 0.1 BTC or 0.125ish BTC

Loshi, do you have unlimited and free electricity?

cheap ass electricity 0.02-3-4 cent per kwh and if i can expand all my miners across 25-50 houses across this 1100-1250 House area I will have nearly 1-10% of the power grid to mining? does this sound sane? will I raise heads and get people to look into why so many houses are starting to consume so much over time? idk check the news over time and check the bitcoin node maps and hover over canada i started my first node when there was 87 nodes now there is 327!
5  Bitcoin / Mining / New miners coming to market soon? (single board or duel board for home mining) on: September 10, 2025, 10:30:24 PM
Hello everyone Mainly Asic Miner maker's! Cheesy I am curious if there is any single or duel board miners for safe home mining that cannot be overclocked or underclocked and maintain the given TH/S rate so it does not blow a breaker etc.

anything in the 21 Range or newer models would be nice  Cheesy

Peace of mind Smiley
Some algorithms in mining equipment are much smarter than humans. It is impossible to mine on a faulty cooling system on the equipment.

The newer one, yes, but for the S9, by using different firmware, you can disable the fan check and be able to run it without a fan. But the problem is, how can you get rid of overheating if you don't have a cooling system?

In the past, their way to bypass that issue was to have a DIY immersion cooling (Brains have this feature) aquarium as a sample with full of mineral oil. This one also helps to get rid of noisy fans.
I agree with you that it is possible to upgrade the firmware, but without knowing the basic temperatures of the chips and monitoring them, you could burn out the ASIC. ASIC S9 gives very little prof even with free electricity, and additional investments in immersion cooling make this idea unprofitable.

even if you have free power it makes 14 x .05=0.7

that is in usd so 70 cents with free power.

for me I am making slightly more then 70 cents well was when S9 was running For me in Canadian dollars I was mining 97 cents a day sometimes got lucky and mined $1.01-$1.03 a Day and had it running for 3 months and made roughly over a little 94$  Cheesy Cheesy BTC my family was shocked "I made money appear out of nowhere" lmao I was just happy I actually mined a decent little amount off a S9 pretty much made my money back!  Cheesy eyeing out perfect S19 home miners that have the middle board taken out for heat diversion linked here---  https://d-central.tech/product/antminer-loki-edition/

planning on just buying 25 of these miners for nearly 14.85K CAD (Not all at once starting with 2-3 possibly 3-5) 1 at my mothers 1 at my grams and other family members and family stores for 1050 TH/s (1.05 PH/s) in solo mining

The expected time to mine one block is the inverse of the probability:
$$\text{Expected Time (in 10-minute periods)} = \frac{1}{P(\text{block})} = \frac{1}{0.000001105} \approx 905,000 \text{ periods}$$
Converting to days ($ 905,000 \times 10 \div 60 \div 24 $):
$$\text{Expected Time} \approx \frac{905,000 \times 10}{60 \times 24} \approx 6,284 \text{ days}$$

t would take approximately 6,284 days (or about 17.2 years) to mine a block solo with 1050 TH/s. (will stack as many as these miners and more newer ones etc as i can to lower the time to hit a solo block)

$$\text{Daily Revenue} = \left( \frac{\text{Your Hash Rate}}{\text{Network Hash Rate}} \right) \times \text{Block Reward} \times \text{Blocks per Day} \times (1 - \text{Pool Fee})$$
Using:

Your hash rate: 1050 TH/s
Network hash rate: 950,000,000 TH/s
Block reward: ~3.2 BTC (including fees)
Blocks per day: 144
Braiins Pool fee: 2% (0.02)

This translates to approximately 0.000499 BTC per day (or about $45–$60 per day at a Bitcoin price of $90,000–$120,000, as prices fluctuate).

8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What if? on: September 03, 2025, 07:43:13 PM
If Bitcoin difficulty suddenly dropped by 50% for just one day, how do you think the network and miners would react?  Huh

If this happens then miners will make more statoshis as blocks will be easier to hit but I wonder what could make this happen, it is only a very evil news that can make this happen and now that all eyes are on Bitcoin I doubt it.

So many billionaires are now building mining farms using excessive grid power and buying many Asic miners just to earn more Bitcoin everyday, if you really want to solo mine it's better to do it for fun, don't expect anything.

I had mine set up for my baby, and I plan to run it for 10 years to this time, my son will be 9 years going to 10years old at the time, the solo miners was gotten in his name, I want to see if he can be very lucky. If I can't leave alot of things behind for him atleast this is worth giving a try. It's a risk I am willing to take and whatever happens doesn't matter.

thats mint to hear your mining for your son. I do not have kids currently was suppose to when i was 17 things happened was step father for a year and half so got to experience being a parent to some extent but now single and investing HEAVY and getting as many miners as i can working as much as i can so i can hit 3 BTC by doing anything by any means

S9 or S19?
Do you have logs of the ASIC's operation?
If you have any, please share it.

You have a high temperature due to cooling problems. Remove the fan, you will find the model there. Order these fans in your country in any well-known store. If you continue like this, you can damage the chips. Further repairs will be even more expensive.

Okay sounds good thank you I will keep this miner to the side until it is repaired to be put back up into mining
For the future, if you are involved in mining, you should know the optimal temperatures for each chip by heart or have this information always at hand. You should have a maintenance and thermal paste replacement schedule.
Modern ASICs do not forgive such mistakes, and chip repairs are not cheap.

Okay thank you I will keep everything to what they are supposed to be and makesure things do not overheat and have thermal paste replacement bi weekly or monthly?

As the title say's this is the "Degenerate" way to earn 1 Full BTC or up to at least 0.1 BTC.

threewords. Solana memecoins. Yes I know coins that most of the time don't last 5 minutes but if you can find the right tokens and get in at good low points and sell for 2x's or up to 10x's or if lucky even 50-100X on certain tokens you are guaranteed a seat at the 1 Full Bitcoin Roundtable Cool

Just DYOR Make the right friends and only spend what you are willing to lose! if you find a good cult memecoin and are okay with dropping a fat chunk and DCA'ing over time to get a nice 25-100X DYOR as much as you can and make sure the token has the right community to continue pushing the token and marketing on X page's etc!

I am blessed enough to have made enough off solana memecoins to secure my position in the 0.15ish range to Hold long term while dcaing and putting more into BTC for 1 full BTC Smiley

Hope you guys found the tip to earn 1 Full BTC a bit useful Smiley

it says you have a fan issue.

how would I go about resolving the fan issue? or would I have to entirely replace them?

if you have a bad fan you need to replace it.

what country do you live in USA? Canada?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/375849549679?

Canada and here are my model of fans would I need to get the same model of fans or does it not matter? and there is a gap on one of the connecters that I cannot adjust in the photos below

the one miner I was looking at has a S19 and just one board taken out and seems pretty good for a house hold miner and might buy a few more S9's
