1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XBM][*ICO 2 phases*][100% PoS][Anonymous][Encrypted Messaging][Web Wallet on: August 21, 2014, 02:18:04 AM
After what happened here on bitcointalk, I'm thinking that it would be better if we moved ICO on bittrex or some other exchange.

I got banned for "altcoin giveaway". http://prntscr.com/4euout There was no explanation why I got banned. Wasted 2 hours of my life to get an answer from a moderator.

If you don't agree with my decision, please feel free to ask a refund from our escrow, devthedev.

When his wallet gets 5BTC + fees for escrow's services, I will send or he will send those BTC to bittrex, so they list our ICO there.
Coins which were/are sold here on forum, will be sent by me personally to your private wallets after ICO ends on bittrex.
As mentioned:

I will understand totally.

what's wrong with the coin.the old thread is deleted?
No, it's locked because "I did a giveaway".

Let everyone know please.

I figured. This has happened before, I was surprised you were allowing Txids and addresses on thread. Good to know you haven't scammed us  Wink
I wouldn't run away with people's money. That's against my ethics.

Building the OP again.. So depressed.

Reason why I don't host XBM ICO on an exchange is the following:

a) Many users use different exchanges.
b) I'd like to avoid having big chunk of XBM on just one exchange.
c) It's a 100% PoS coin. Which means you gain a interest. Interest of 10% per year. Exchanges don't pay you interest. So, it's better if I send coins to private wallets, than doing anything else. ( Please correct me if I'm wrong or if you don't agree with this step. Don't forget, escrows are accepted.)

Forget this. When we get 5BTC I'm moving ICO on bitcointalk. This forum doesn't do anything than going against freedom of altcoins.
- IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH THIS, PLEASE, ASK FOR A REFUND FROM OUR ESCROW. -

You agree on the following rules:

You can ask for a refund, if I fail to deliver on time.

I specialize in C/C++/Python and I find it easy to work on Bitcoin & other coin sources.
Currently I am porting Litecoin's Electrum fork to make it work with BitMo. Current progress: 50% ( Started like a week ago, or so. Not sure how much time will be needed to finish it and run debug. )
2nd thing I'm working at this moment is a online-hot-wallet. ETA 3-5 days.
After I finish things mentioned above, I will start working on stealth addresses.

Please excuse me for not making a professional website. I am not good with website development. Will post bounties in BTC to get a better one in the near future!
I wont be making a forum, since I don't see a reason why there should be one (yet). We have BitcoinTalk for that matter.
( If you guys want a forum, I can do it although. It takes less than 30 minutes to install one. )

- AVOID - panicking if you don't see me online. I have a life as well.
Due the nature of this forum, I'm not going to make a self moderated topic. Everyone has the right to express his opinion. Just avoid FUD, drama and nonsense ( off-topic ).

Small tease :-) ( I'm working on Linux )

"Photoshopped?". Escrow or any other reputable member of BitcoinTalk.org community can test the wallet so I prove its legitimacy.

Is there any way you could unlock the topic for only 1 minute, so I can quote it and get everything from there? Or if You could paste it in my inbox? It'd appreciate it.

I'll delete that specific line, so we avoid future issues.

I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

[...]

The address where funds will be sitting is the following:
Code:
12UW52WuVAMR9jFYtRaNKunTE5U6tMb9ca
After you send your funds this is what you will have to do in order to claim your coins:

1) Send your funds to the address above.
2) Provide txid of your transaction. ( Either in the topic or via PM, if you would like to stay anonymous )

[...]

important part highlighted. also, the wikipedia definition of giveaway is irrelevant.
Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

also stop reporting this post to get attention.

Hello, I am the developer of XBM coin.

I was banned for "altcoin giveaway". I am not sure where I gave any altcoins. I would like to see the proof.
I'm hosting an ICO on this forum and people have been posting their transaction ID's and their addresses so they can claim their coins after XBM launches.

That's not considered as "SPAM" or "altcoin giveaway" as far as I'm aware. They're posting proof so the community and our escrow, devthedev can see that they've actually sent coins. I'm trying to make a transparent ICO. This is a serious project. I have invested a lot of my personal time in it.

Please resolve this issue. Thank you very much.
I am holding people's funds, don't want them to think that I've run away.
Also, an apology would be great.

Nickname of banned account is: HardForkComing
