Thanks jonnybravo0311, yes it's a service offer., no I haven't seen the Service forum before posting message.. would post at service forum and yes my offer is independent of ubuntu alone based on hardware one user may have.. except M$ widows.

Hello, Let me know if looking for optimized P2Pool node on GNU/Linux or FreeBSD with performance tuning which varies from hardware to hardware and distribution in use. Few of the advantages post optimization/tuning=>- Lower the dead/orphan shares significantly
- Lower get work latency
- Proper bandwidth usage
- Higher payouts as compared to default configs
- Lower power consumption by P2Pool node
and more.. What are the advantages of using P2Pool? Small statistical advantages increasing income Control over your own pool node No need to trust a pool operator Immediate payments Helps to protect and keep the Bitcoin network decentralized What are the disadvantages of using P2Pool? Initial setup is a little more complicated More CPU / RAM / Internet bandwidth required Higher payout variance Small transaction fees when spending if you receive many small payouts Distros=debian/fedora/centos/OpenSuse, gentoo/slackware(would need console to configure for gentoo/slackware) etc, FreeBSD or your choice Official P2Pool url for more info=>http://p2pool.in/#faqBenchmark [P2Pool vs btcGuild vs Eligius]=> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=416933.0Cheers, LinuxForYou

More and more blocks with p2pool which is nice, however Is it really useful now for smaller miners?
|
|

More and more blocks on P2Pool and more hash rate which is nice. However is P2Pool really useful for smaller miners after P2Pool hash crossed 3000TH/s - current Pool: 3718TH/S (bitcoin mining)

Upgrade of P2Pool node=> applied latest updates to P2Pool & bitcoind beside OS updates=>
p2pool version 13.4-45-gd8f9c63 Bitcoin version v0.9.99.0-41abb02

Was getting high DOA, no issue with the local network of p2pool node, to confirm moved traffic to a different P2Pool node with high network bandwidth, no difference in DOA=>
Version: 13.4-44-g9dd7098
Pool rate: 2.92PH/s (12% DOA+orphan) Share difficulty: 11900000
Node uptime: 8.8 hours Peers: 10 out, 1 in
Local rate: 16.6TH/s (11% DOA) Expected time to share: 51.4 minutes
Shares: 5 total (0 orphaned, 0 dead) Efficiency: 113.3%
=======================
Rented 11TH/s rig from betarig.com, renting a rig is not much useful as it involves traffic from RIG <> betarig proxy in France <> P2Pool node, proxy adds additional latency. Didn't get proper support from betarig to provide information about their proxy status and latency between RIG and their proxy.
Conclusion: Local P2Pool node can handle good amount of traffic without any issue. Avoid renting a rig, before renting check rig location, proxy of rent provider and pool you using.. I further tried to use another P2Pool node in europe, DOA was not improved.
