The file is downloaded .tar instead of tar.gz!
after checking (shasum -a 256 --ignore-missing --check SHA256SUMS) the output is: no file was verified!
Hiding the file extension sounds like a Windows thing to do.

Then I do the command shasum -a 256 and it gives me a sum that is not in the SHA256SUMS file.
If it's a different file, the different checksum is no surprise. What link did you download?

If I download this, I get the checksum from your screenshot. If I gunzip the file, the remaining .tar file produces the same checksum you got. Any chance you have a browser extension that extracted the file?

yes, I downloaded it by clicking in the browser

Hello everyone!
I am downloading a file from the official website bitcoincore.org wallet for Macbook. I download by clicking in the browser.
The file is downloaded .tar instead of tar.gz!
after checking (shasum -a 256 --ignore-missing --check SHA256SUMS) the output is: no file was verified!
Then I do the command shasum -a 256 and it gives me a sum that is not in the SHA256SUMS file. You can see everything in the photo.
What could it be?
How is this possible?
