I have gathered all of my files and firmware and stuff and shared them all on Google Drive. The link is on my profile but I will post it here too just in case someone on the internet is in the same boat as me Smiley

2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Need Help Downgrading Whatsminer M3 V2.0 H3 on: March 29, 2025, 11:46:26 AM
Hello everyone,

I have a couple of Whatsminer M3 V2.0 with the H3 control board (the kind without the big black heatsink on the control board CPU). I'm having issues with the latest firmware which is the 2019.04.04 and I need to downgrade with an SD card to the service firmware which would be the 2017.11.28 firmware and I have the image file. It installs just fine but the control board keep rebooting at startup and doesn't come online to update it to the 2018 firmwares.

The symptoms are:

1. The red and green LEDs both come on and stay on for about 7 seconds and then with a sort of "smoothing" both go off and then the cycle repeats.

2. The Ethernet LEDs are always on regardless of connection to the router.

3. No IP is found on the router related to the miner.

4. The IP Found and Reset button do nothing.

I have multiples of the 2017.11.28 firmware downloaded from various sources and they all install the same way and do the same thing when booting.
I even found a 2018 firmware image (which is basically not found anywhere on the internet but one Persian Telegram channel) and it was password protected but I cracked it and even that firmware did the same and reboots over and over again.

Does anyone have any other firmware images or could guide me to restore my miners?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you ❤
