Maaaaannnnn "Bob" has stolen nearly 100,000 BURST from my mining wallet. His address: BURST-DS6V-VWPT-L2BT-344NL Image here: http://imgur.com/1brEjU7I was JUST the other day going to empty it. Wonder how he got in? I haven't used that computer for anything else, ever. Just sits idle. Jerk. Sorry to hear. How complex was your password? Not at all - that part's my fault. I had been emptying it every couple days but for the last few months I've just mostly forgotten about it. I suppose he probably is just brute-force guessing passwords. Did you use your own password or one suggested by the Burst wallet.. I don't buy brute force if you used a suggested password. I used my own. The wallet was emptied every few days to a more secure account - I just let it go for a while before I emptied it. I'm trying to figure out how to assign my rewards to my new account using dev's v2 pool. It's been so long I can't remember how this all works, lol. I did the reward assignment from my wallet's computer to my new address - but how will the pool know to send my old account number to this new wallet? That page doesn't give you a place to enter the account number associated to the plots. I'm so confused - I used to know all this! I´m afraid you have to re-plot using your new id. "bob" could also change your reward assignment. Mind sharing your passphrase? I like to know how complex it is. edit: And stop mining! You are feeding this guy. I was afraid of that. I can't re-plot - well I probably could, but don't want to. It's like 24TB worth. The passphrase was just a single word and 3 numbers - an old password that I've always remembered. I use Lastpass and 2FA for just about everything these days, I just didn't want to set up Lastpass on the mining computers so I went simple for simplicity's sake. At least I haven't been keeping everything in that wallet! Bob's still a jerk.If you do not want to replot then you have to waste your time to transfer burst to other account often. Why don't you start plotting partial to other account while mining with both accounts together? You may plot 1TB at the same time while mining... Don't tell me that you have 24TB in one file... lol Honestly? Because it's a hassle and I've recently started a new job that takes a lot of my time. There just isn't enough gain for the effort. The guy stealing from me pretty much instantly takes the deposits so continuing to mine is kinda useless. I guess I now realize that I don't have my video cards anymore either so I'd have to CPU plot, hook up some new computers -- I just don't want to do all that again.

You have to use dcct's java miner, or uray's C miner. It's a uray built pool.
Tried uray's (just the exe and a conf file) and it just closes immediately. :-/

Come on people. Plenty of room left http://burstpool.ddns.netSet your reward recipient to BURST-7CPJ-BW8N-U4XF-CWW3U and start mining I'd give it a shot... but I'm not sure my plots are plotted correctly... :-/ If you mined another pool and it worked. It will work here too Well I mean all my deadlines seem to be in the millions and billions. You don't want useless shares, do you? (see post at the top of the page) Unless I'm misunderstanding... I am not sure, but I think that doesn't represent the deadline. Well I tired with my java pool miner from dev's v2 pool and the windows miner you have in your "how it works" section and both give me a "null" error. :-/

Using the official v2 pool, this is "time" of the deadlines I'm finding, correct? 1.1 billion? Are the average deadline lengths related to difficulty or anything? My GPU plots are all in the 1.1B range and my CPU plots are all in the 300M range...

i mining now v2pool when my miner run i generating plot with gpu ploter 2.1.1 at the same but i get this error sometimes. whtas yours idea? That's not a memory problem. It's not really a "problem" at all - has something to do with the file but doesn't cause any issue, you can ignore it. The part you want to notice is "Dead Letters". When you see that, you can ignore it. how can i ignore "Dead Letters".? Well, I don't know how you can turn off the message, but I meant you just don't have to worry about it.

Yes, when you notice "OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" it's a memory error.

Dev v2 pool having "unable to get mining info from wallet" errors.
Seems fine to me...

You can still check. Suppose your cpu plots are nonce 0 - 1000 and your gpu plots are nonce 1001 - 2000 Look for this line in your miner - New Best: ACC # : nonce# Check your deadline. if your nonce# from New Best falls within your cpu plotted range, I guarantee you will have a deadline <2000000. That's 23 days, ok I pulled that out of my ass but w/e My point is that I also guarantee that if your New Best nonce# falls within your gpu plotted range, then you will have a deadline 1E12 or higher, that's ~30,000 years + Would love to see more confirmation on this however. I've noticed it the past couple of days and Regtable seems to finally believe what I've been saying to him Actually, according to my download history I started doing GPU plotting on 9/9. I can just go and delete all plots from 9/9 or later and then re-do them. :-/

Ok, update:
I realized I was plotting to a folder that didn't exist. I had just swapped drives and the path wasn't the same - so no plot file was being created. I guess it was just computing on the video card without taking breaks to write to the disk? Now that I've corrected the path, the GPU usage is back to going up and down and I'm back down to a more realistic 15,000 nonces/min.
That being said, where/when did the GPU plotter start running into this deadline problem? I'm still using the old 2.0.0 GPU generator with Burst's original kernel mod and 13.152 drivers.
iv had this issue since 2nd version of gpu miner. plotted up all hds and only just been brought to light that its not working right. as i had 2 hdd's plotted with cpu still on pool, deadline shown was ok. its only since actually watching all miners and seperating them into gpu/cpu sides i noticed all gpu plots are no good for making a block ever. not in 1000 years minimum anyway. plus i noticed my coin payments drop off to 1/2 a day of only 50-100 coins per pay out for nearly 3 tb so looks like a cpu re plot AGAIN. this coins becoming a pain in my side Hmm... I'll have to look into it I guess... Unfortunately most of my drives are half CPU plots and half GPU plots... lol i have no idea what could be wrong. avahnah brought it to my attention firstly as hjes new to this i thought meh hes moaning for nothing its just what happens but watching mine closley and getting my newest "best" best share of 106790 years. via gpu thought maybe something needs saying as bigger deadlines if gpu plotting was taken up by all would either grind us to a halt or just leave 1 or 2 cpu plotted people getting all the coins which is whats happening here. iv gone from 100 coins a day to only 100 ish. due to the mahoosive deadlines resulting in my 0% share of blocks Yea, I see today was a bad day not to go back and read the 10 pages I missed overnight, lol. Well then... damn. I'm really not looking forward to trying to sort this whole mess out... :-/

What have you done?!! My R9 280X went from 6,000-10,000 to 40,000! Weird thing is the GPU usage went from looking like an EKG bouncing between 0-60% or 50%-100% to being pegged at 100% all the time. I don't know what you did but... thanks! Too bad I just got this upgrade for my last 438gb to plot... lol

How much memory do you have in your GPU? The most I can gen @ is 3000 on a higher end card.
The lower end ones with 1GB constantly fail with the error posted above.
It's a 3GB R9 280x... Hi guys, I am aware of this issue. The fact is that I have to create two full size buffers on the GPU side to reduce thread-local memory consumption. Thus the memory amount needed on the CPU side has to be doubled to get an estimate of what is needed on the GPU side. As an example, for a stagger size of 4000 you will need 1GB RAM on CPU side and more than 2GB (exactly (PLOT_SIZE + 16) x stagger) on GPU side (doesn't include here the local buffers and the kernel code itself). Once I have a stable version (really soon ), I will work on this particular problem. Well, I've kind of figured out what the problem is... I have a 3GB XFX 280X (R9-280X-TDBD) but when I run the new gpuminer v2 and run "list devices" it shows my card with a max global memory of 2048 instead of 3072. Maybe they forgot to put in a third of my vRAM? Any idea why the discrepancy? Not that it REALLY matters anymore... I'm almost done plotting, lol.
