I speak as the Steward and Acting First Minister of Forvik.
We had no knowledge of this Forvikcoin until we were contacted by a third party asking if we wanted to bring it to an exchange. We have no knowledge of this developer and have had no contact with him (or her), despite what he asserts here. He is using material from our website without our permission. We have no means of contact except though this forum.
If he had approached us first, we may have been amenable to his suggestions, but this is not the right way to conduct business.
Forvikcoin does not have the support of the Sovereign State of Forvik. We request that all development stop, that all reference to Forvik be terminated and that our copyright material is removed from all websites mentioning the name Forvik, or Forvikcoin.

Open Letter to the Steward and Acting First Minister of Forvik.
Dear Mr Stuart Hill,
Firstly, we apologies for any confusion and misunderstanding in regards to our creation of Forvikcoin.
We created Forvikcoin with the best interest of helping Forvik and its citizens.
We have attempted to contact you via the information on your website on several occasions and did actually make email contact with danny @ forvik.com who presented no objections whatsoever.
Please understand that Forvikcoin is based on free and open source software- We are not a 'business' in any shape or form and we are not looking to profit directly from this in any way.
We will respect your requests and remove all images from the original post as you have requested, aside from the Forvik Flag, as it is presumably OK to wave that freely?
We hope that you may reconsider your position regarding Forvikcoin.
Lastly, we feel that cryptocurrency is an excellent way to promote Forvik both on the internet and to the wider world. Cryptocurrency is "honest money" and helps to preserve individual freedom of speech and the right to privacy- amongst other important factors for consideration with any 'true' democracy.

We have again contacted Forvik and remain optimistic that they will acknowledge and accept Forvikcoin in some capacity and hopefully soon. Our Forvikcoin team has explained to various representatives and citizens by email how Forvikcoin will only complement Forvik's exisiting Gulde currency- http://www.forvik.com/about/about-forvik/forvik-gulde -in allowing all crypto-citizens of Forvik to transact more easily across the internet. We have explained that we have reserved Forvikcoin to be issued freely to the Steward and to any existing citizens forthwith on provision of valid Forvikcoin addresses being presented to ourselves by The Sovereign State of Forvik. We have detailed the process of how The Sovereign State of Forvik might accept Forvikcoin for Citizenships and how it would be possible, once Forvikcoin has been listed on an exchange service to easily convert received Forvikcoin funds to Bitcoin and then to PayPal (if desired)- which is the current method of payment accepted for Citizenship by The Sovereign State of Forvik- http://www.forvik.com/members/join-forvikWe also set out how Forvikcoin users would be very keen to get involved with existing and future projects through donations. This is a scam. I contacted the um Prime Minister Stuart of Forvik and has no knowledge of any crypto currency. He is going to investigate in this matter and so far at this time. This crypto has no connection with the Forvik government (for whatever that's worth) Perhaps the dev and the prime minister can work together to make this official. If so it will be added to an exchange almost instant. ok is this coin official??

Does a "nation" own Bitcoin? No. The people and citizens of Forvik are free to own and trade with Forvkcoin as they wish. This is crypto-currency. -We have responded to your private message and welcome your interest in Forvikcoin. Thank You- How exactly does that fact make Forvikcoin a "SCAM"? No one has parted with or lost any monies whatsoever. So you can use any 'money' you want- as long as its 'government' appointed fiat- is that really it? Have people on this forum forgotten what crypto-currency is about? We actually created Forvikcoin to try and help Forvik and to increase the awareness of cryptocurrency in general. |

The Forvickcoin Team has a proposal for the General Assembly (users of this forum and Forvikcoin).
We require a block explorer and an additional long-term seed node for Forvikcoin. The current seed node will expire in under 1 calender month.
We propose to adjust the current bounties to free up 600 FKG (details to follow).
coincreator.net offers a block explorer package and seed node service, currently at a Price of: 0.5 BTC (setup) + 0.1 BTC/month
It would seem to be logical to use this service as they are the originator of our code base for Forvikcoin.
So, we propose to allocate 600 FKG to pay for the block explorer and seed node within 1 calender month.
0.1 BTC = 100 FKG
0.01 BTC = 10 FKG
0.001 BTC = 1 FKG Min.
Thus, a form of reverse IPO that will help to secure the network, provide a working block explorer and perhaps more importantly will help to peg an initial (fairly high) BTC exchange value before we hit an exchange.
We would of course be more than happy to use an escrow service for said funds.
Total BTC requested is 0.60 BTC at a rate of 0.001 BTC = 1 FKG Min.
Please send a private message to ourselves 'Forvikcoin' via this forum. Funds will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, asap and within one calender month. I will give 32 ghash a try with wallet but looks hard so far, may have to switch back to pool.
We had selected coin settings to make this fairly hard to mine and quite rare over time, so it will potentially have more value. Good luck with your mining. yes at over 1 mill diff I'm sticking to a pool, no chance of finding a block at my baby 32 ghash rate. Indeed. Solo mining would likely require about 1 TH to see worthwhile block findings. The difficulty has increase significantly over the past 24 hours- and since you posted regarding your solo mining efforts. |
