William's way may be simple for some, that's super and I applaud you all.
People have played, people have won, and encryption has never been an issue, so I respectfully disagree with your statement that we should not be doing this simply because we are not computer scientists.
So you would say that you dont need qualifications for a job??? Ok this is only an offer from you but should have a proof that everything is no scam. I doubt anyone will go for this shit, so you can close your thread... Or better yet, you can quit picking on folks with good intentions and go pester someone else...

Proof please. Maybe encrypt the random number and the date using SHA256 and then once it's done we can compare the 2 and if they are the same you didn't modify it. I don't know what that means. The whole thing is simple... Players PM us, we confirm with their place in the draw ie. "You are entry 31/40 in the Sept 5 draw", and then 1 of the 40 players wins. The house doesn't play, no one involved plays. it's fair folks. But you have to proof what you say...your word means nothing. I have no issue with proving it, however, there is a reason we're keeping this simple, because we're simple. We don't know how to encrypt things, we don't have fancy equipment, and we don't understand complicated computery things. Can you suggest a simple way to prove that we are not trying to scam anyone? william already said a simple way. But if you dont know how to encrypt you shouldn't offer things like this and especially you shouldn't take a 12.5% edge... William's way may be simple for some, that's super and I applaud you all. People have played, people have won, and encryption has never been an issue, so I respectfully disagree with your statement that we should not be doing this simply because we are not computer scientists.

Well you are a new account and you are requesting 100$ to people, that is not the best way to gain trust.
You're right, we are new to Bitcointalk and we have introduced our game. It's a pricey buy-in but the odds are low and the potential ROI is great (IMO).

What ur site?? This work hmmm i mean how did we know its fair??
No site yet...just a Twitter account to keep it simple. We have no reason to be unfair, as long as people win, we win. We make more long term by not being a scam. Maybe but nobody trusts a newbie, Fair enough! We had to start somewhere, here we are and we're not going anywhere. If you're skeptical just keep an eye on our Twitter account, @BTCLotteries, see the winners each week. Running away with a couple BTC would be shooting ourselves in the foot when people are willing to play each week.

Good Day Folks!
We run a weekly bitcoin lottery via twitter where 0.2 BTC gets you into the draw that week for 4 BTC. No tricks or scams, just a simple game with real winners. Winners get their 4BTC sent to their BTC deposit address as soon as it's announced, every Friday afternoon at 3PM EST. Odds are 1 in 40, as we take 40 entries each week.
Intructions: 1. Follow @BTCLotteries on twitter 2. PM your deposit address, wait for confirmation response before proceeding to step 3 (we may already have 40 participants for that week's draw. 3. Deposit 0.2 BTC here: 1MvTk2E9VtAMgGtxGDtM2P4BSxifpfQuaL 4. Check back in on Friday to see your twitter handle announced as our winner. 5. Dance.
Do we profit? Yes and no. 40 entries is 8 BTC, we put 3BTC aside from every draw in case there are only a couple of entries the next week... the show can go on, so to speak. We also split a BTC among us (we wouldn't do this entirely for free
So there you have it folks! We hope you appreciate the honesty and transparency above and we can't wait to have entries from Bitcointalk members! Good luck to you all!!!
