1  Other / Politics & Society / A plea for Allocotus on: September 25, 2025, 04:17:15 PM
I learnt that under some circumstances, a woman can be found guilty of certain crimes(murder inclusive) and there can be a plea for Allocotus: saying she is a nursing mother or she is an only parent. This plea is only open to females and not males.Considering the concept of gender equality, should a plea for Allocotus be scrapped out of the judicial system or should it still stand? Since this concept tends to Favour just women. Although men can plea to be heard after being found guilty but a plea for Allocotus offers more pardon than the plea offered to men.

Looking at this your post here and all you said here, you are not entirely wrong, what you are trying to say makes sense to me, because you must not have it all to start your Bitcoin investment, all you just need is the basic knowledge of it and how to go about your Bitcoin accumulation,
You don't need to know much before investing in Bitcoin. Rather, after investing, an investor learns everything step by step. Just as you can't learn to swim by reading books, you can't learn about investing without investing. But yes, you can get basic knowledge.

An investor should always start. And until he starts, he will continue to struggle.

Find out the main purpose of investing. Why and for what are you investing. How many years do you want to keep your investment.

Emergency fund and other tasks, such as prudent income and backup fund allocation.

Confidence will be effective for you before investing. You don't need to know anything extraordinary about investing.
Only long-term investments should be made. Less than 10 years, long-term investments are profitable in the long run.

I totally agree with you on the fact that practical engagement in a thing is a more faster way to know about that thing. However, I will advice some degree of financial independence before investing. It is no news that Bitcoin possesses some degree of volatility and this volatility can be best tackled and understood if you ain't investing all your revenue in Bitcoin.... You will invest without emotions and have a clearer picture of the chart

I had a conversation with someone outside this forum and my choice of topic "Must everyone invest in Bitcoin" was his question, it's a nice question for someone that's willing to know about Bitcoin so I decided to bring it here to know the opinion of members of our Local board.
Well my own opinion and reply to him is that it's a matter of choice, Bitcoin investment is not forced on anyone, yes anyone can invest in it but must be willing and should have the necessary requirements to do so, moreover it's not the only investment option and there are lots of others like Real Estate, Gold, Stock, and even Commodities like agricultural, petroleum/natural gas, livestocks etc.
However since Bitcoin is a modern form of investment, the best digital asset and has become a very reliable asset that can generate good profits for long-term it would be nice to seize the opportunity of investing in it as it's still very early compared to when the price would go higher in the future, hopefully.
I don't think everyone must invest in Bitcoin... Investment is a choice which often varies amongst people. There are alot of people who doesn't even have a good knowledge about crypto but are very good in other aspects that requires investment.
To me choice matters alot when it comes to investment plan. Some people prefer investing on tangible things over digital assets while others would still invest in all..
My answer is "NO" everyone cannot invest in Bitcoin. Personally, before now, I usually had this phobia for anything that works basically online. I prefer investments to be physical assets. Although most times, physical assets generate profit at a very slow rate, however it's always slow and steady. Some persons cannot handle the volatility that comes with Bitcoin investment

Maybe use a Ambulance instead of a black SUV
The only thing certain at the moment, things are not right.

Must be the first time in history a 7.62 mm bullet got stuck in someones neck. Miracles do happen if you are a bullsh!t artist.

I don't really know why you find that hard to believe. His paradigm might not have homogenous to that of everyone, however, depriving his children of their dad wasn't something I find cool
5  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: "For a Nigerian investor: buying a land or buying of Bitcoin?"preference. on: September 23, 2025, 12:06:38 AM
My people, abeg make we reason this thing well. For Naija, everybody dey talk say land na real wealth and e no dey lose value, and once you own am, na asset wey fit pass from generation to generation. But now we get Bitcoin, one digital money wey don surprise the world with crazy growth and international respect. So for a normal Nigerian wey dey find how to secure tomorrow, the question be:
>To buy land (plots/real estate) or to buy Bitcoin?

>Which one go hold better value in the next 10–20 years?

Land dey solid but government wahala and paperwork fit stress person. Bitcoin dey borderless but the price dey shake up and down. Which one really guarantee wealth for Nigerians?

Lol, Make we yarn,  if ₦5m dey your hand right now, you go put am inside land or inside Bitcoin? Thoughts.

First of all, I will say it depends on your goal and desire. If you invest in land, definitely your money go come slow, steady and sure. While for Bitcoin, due to its volatility your money will come fast with some degree of uncertainty. Bitcoin will raise like double the capital over a short period of time with some uncertainty attached but land will take longer but then it will be slow and steady.
