1  Economy / Services / Re: [1xBit.com] - Christmas SPECIAL- Signature Campaign [FULL] on: January 12, 2022, 10:08:59 PM
Hopefully 1xBit fixes this up for everyone, it's a shame that Limlims exit scammed but this is on 1xBit to select a competent manager.

Agreed with @VanityWallets2015 as well - ending the campaign in the middle of the 4th week when some people have made posts is unfair.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy some low cap coins on: January 09, 2022, 10:04:05 PM
one of the best low market cap coins 2021

1. Matic Network (MATIC)
2. Zilliqa (ZIL)
3. Blockstack (STX)
4. SiaCoin (SIA)
5. Docademic (MTC)
6. SelfKey (KEY)
7. Basic Attention Token (BAT)
8. Linda

Out of these picks, I would just focus on MATIC and BAT.

Siacoin has been around for quite a while now and has not made any substantial noise in any sector of the industry, so I would abandon that project.

BAT is really interesting because its distribution is very fair compared to other models, and they are developing the future of Web3.0 with their own proprietary browser. Certainly could reach a lot of mainstream adoption, although the token is definitely inflationary.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ethereum still a viable alternative to Bitcoin? on: January 09, 2022, 09:40:11 PM
Will ETH ever surpass BTC's market cap? I personally do not think so.

However, it is undeniably more useful compared to bitcoin in the sense that it supports smart contracts and whatnot, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is a better currency per se.

Bitcoin is still the premier reserve currency in the crypto industry, and not a lot can be done to change that due to its first mover advantage.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 Metaverse Coins Mooning Amidst Bitcoin Plunge on: January 09, 2022, 09:03:41 PM
This is outdated.

JEWEL has outperformed most Metaverse tokens and the entire market, really. It has peaked at $20+ but now sits at $18 or so.

I've seen a lot of people make quite a bit off that trade, but I would just rather be cautious honestly and sell off existing positions of any metaverse coins. The hype for metaverses and Web3.0 is peaking and the bear market is not going to be kind to these projects imo.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will funds rotate into privacy/anonymity coins? on: January 09, 2022, 08:53:59 PM
I wonder when will people start to realize that coins like ZEC and XMR are currently undervalued?
They will never realize that as zcash and XMR didn't have utility. These days people didn't care anymore about the anonymity caused by they are putting their focus into the tokens and coins that fully utilized and it can give them all so many benefits. ZEC and XRM were outdated coins and people didn't wanna use these kind of coins anymore.
These coins give them all nothing.

When people can see the rich list addresses transparently and/or you need millions of dollars to be a validator (which puts you in the public limelight), I do wonder if the smart money and whales will start flocking into these more privacy centric chains after the current run is over.
It will not happen. They will prefer to cash out their money to be used to buy the dip rather than moving their portfolios to the privacy coin and why? even when they are only keeping their money into the some altcoins and they can also earn passive income from there and that's very different when they are only putting their money into the privacy coin. what advantages that will be given by privacy coins for them all.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!
The time for privacy coin is coming to its end.

I strongly disagree with this sentiment.

Privacy coins arguably offer a lot more utility compared to a lot of L1s right now which just have forks of DeFi applications running on them with minimal actual innovation.

With regulatory crackdowns I personally think that it's inevitable that big whales start moving in privacy coins, especially since they do not want to be tracked by the prying eyes of many.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: LEGO Sets Are Better Investments than Stocks, Bonds or Even Gold on: January 08, 2022, 09:02:34 PM
Alternative investments have vastly outperformed a lot of asset classes.

Of course, there are risks involved but I actually think that risk-adjusted returns wise they can actually continue to return more than market indices over the long run.

However, the catch is that you need to make sure you understand how it works first before putting money in. It's not as simple as buying an ETF.

Also, don't put money into securitized versions of these alternative investments (e.g. fractional art, that just doesn't make any sense to me).
7  Economy / Economics / Re: No where is actually safe on: January 08, 2022, 08:49:10 PM
I'd actually argue that crypto/bitcoin is actually quite safe for the long run.

Given the tokenomics of bitcoin, it is disinflationary and have a capped supply. So long as there is no massive failure to the network it's hard to see how its value will underperform fiat over the long run.

But diversification is certainly key especially if you are looking at risky assets like crypto. Diversify both within asset classes and across asset classes. Even if you are the most ardent crypto holder, you should diversify in fiat assets like stocks to cover your back.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Fear Index at 10 on: January 08, 2022, 08:32:18 PM
It's funny how people are panicking right now, and these are the same people who were FOMOing hard at the top.

At the end of the day the bull market was always going to be unsustainable, and everyone should have known that. There was no way that BTC was going to grow at 300% APY no matter how much people try to convince you otherwise.

People lost a lot of rationality during this bull market due to the Fed's easy monetary policy and QE. Now that is reversing, overleveraged traders will be in for a rude shock, as well as retail investors who only know low interest rate environments as the norm.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 08, 2022, 08:09:36 PM
I think it's quite likely.

The bearish sentiment is quite strong given that we could not break $50k resistance for quite a few months now.

Right now the price of BTC is just edging towards that $40k level. I personally don't see it bouncing off the support of $40k because there were massive liquidations and most longs are already gone. Traders and investors really went to bullish too soon with insane amounts of leverage this time, and they're paying the price now.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: January 08, 2022, 07:58:41 PM
<...>

I believe we all agree with the future of the gambling industry, it will grow more, and I agree especially online gambling... simply more and more people are connected, new generations are all about internet things! But what will be the next big move or the new game is something that is interesting to think about! I know I would like to see more PvP games... anyone remembers the Dragons Tale gambling game? I think something similar, of course with better graphics and more games would be awesome!

yes, it'll grow a lot

for games it's much harder to predict because the industry changes so fast
but I think the trend of play and earn will keep growing too and web 3.0 will be much more present for games
we'll see

I'm personally a very firm believer in Web3.0 and its ability to disrupt the casino industry.

I think that key players will either have to adapt to this new format of decentralized, immersive gaming, or face elimination from new competition.

We're already seeing live casino games take over from the traditional dice or blackjack games. But right now they are hosted by centralized third parties which make it impossible to ensure fairness apart from trusting the regulators - and using Web3.0 technologies we can both have great immersion and fairness.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: staking is a type of mining? on: January 07, 2022, 11:22:55 PM
a crypto being on a stake it means that this crypto is mining others?

In a sense, yes.

You are securing the network by contributing to transaction validation, and the consensus mechanism is based off people showing that they have an active stake in the network as opposed to they are expending significant energy.

So it's really the same concept but in a different form. Staking is NOT yield farming or interest generation per se, which is what some people seem to be confused about.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple makes a $1 price bull set for 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 10:25:17 PM
I still strongly believe Ripple will go back close to its ATH and (hopefully) surpass it... As I'm waiting since 2018... I bought pretty high and keep hoping it goes back there to sell it...

But for this, it has to win against SEC, then many investors will come back and trust it. Which is actually going on the side of Ripple.

Their team is very active and continuing to work with banks and finding partnerships.

There seems to be a lot of things that need to go right for XRP just for your price target of +25% of the current price to come true.

To me, this is not a good trade at all. There is not a lot of upside and if the SEC pursues further charges, then there is really nothing that Ripple Labs can do anymore and the token will crash to close to zero.

Plus their whole ecosystem is just not very accessible whatsoever. 20 XRP minimum to just hold a wallet? Who's bothered to do that as a retail investor?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling isn't the end it's just the beginning to have more coins on: January 07, 2022, 09:47:34 PM
I do think that it's a good idea to accumulate during the bear market phase.

The only way that you lock in your losses is if you realize them by selling at a lower price. If you keep your position open through the thick and thin then you are much more likely to come out on top at the end.

There are a lot of new money that flooded into the crypto ecosystem during this bull market, which really shows as people are panicking over this 20% drop over the past week. Nothing to be concerned about.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 07, 2022, 09:36:13 PM
I think the consensus answer will be Stake.

They definitely have the best VIP host system right now and that is because they have so much experience dealing with highrollers being one of the first dice sites around.

Some other sites may offer a more "lucrative" package but at the end of the day the security that Stake offers is simply unparalleled and I wouldn't trade it off for a marginally better experience.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Speculation about biggest airdrops of 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 09:24:04 PM
In the internet, some user make a list with potential "Airdrop". You can access the list in here : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1f_9c8P28dXG5K6DXlHGeTQUww5K8Ft6GgCKYZ8scjb0/

Off course, this is only potential there is no guaranteed at all but sometimes type airdrop like this can give you a big money. I follow some of them, right now transaction "NFTs" on OpenSea is also being targeted for the Airdrop.

Thanks for this list! Seems really helpful.

Just wondering what the sources of these rumors are though? Because obviously with high gas fees you don't want to be ferrying around your funds across exchanges just to get the airdrop and paying $80 per transaction, and later on realizing that there was no airdrop to begin with.

I personally think that there is not much point in chasing these airdrops, just use DeFi and NFT trading protocols like you would normally and be happy with what you get.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 06, 2022, 11:57:01 PM
I think that it will mature.

We are already seeing a lot of traditional finance being integrated with BTC, including ETF approvals, companies accepting BTC for payments, as well as companies holding BTC on their own balance sheets as stores of value.

If this is not a sign of constant maturation, I don't know what is.
The adoption is happening, that’s a good sign of maturity and of course no one can know if this market will collapse  or it will continue to rise as expected by many. Better to look for more good and positive predictions to avoid any doubt and fear when it comes to Bitcoin and cryprtomarket. Also, its still advisable to have fiat money investment as well to ensure your liquidity if something bad happen in cryprtomarket, nothing is permanent here.

I actually disagree with the statement that no one knows.

I think that with the current trajectory of where things are, most people would agree based off of consensus that BTC and all blockchain technologies will continue to mature into the future where there will be massive governmental and institutional adoption.

The question really lies with the scale and extent of this happening - exactly how long will this take as well. Profits are not guaranteed but I think progress will be.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 06, 2022, 11:42:41 PM
Congratulations on your big wins.

There is no advantage in just showing big wins though, because ultimately your ability to generate profit also depends on avoiding losses.

Your gambling volume may just be really high and you would be expected to hit these as a matter of time anyway. What strategies do you use?
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport's betting experience on: January 05, 2022, 03:59:12 AM
I am following English premier League and Australia A league. 80-85% matches 1st half Happen corner over 3.5 that's odds 1.32-1.40 . So anyone wants to safe betting then you can bet there. Not all matches. Select for a team like Manchester United. If Manchester United and it's partner fail to cover 3.5 corner in 1st half in a match then the next match stake high between Manchester United Vs opponent team. That's the simple tricks. This tips dose not work for 100%, so bet your own risk.

Any stats to back this claim up?

I don't think that it's a long term feasible strategy to adopt. People are going to realize that this trend exists (if it actually exists in the first place) and the odds will start to reflect that sooner or later.

Unless you have an algorithm and extensive research, I don't think that these simplistic bets work anymore to generate positive EV consistently.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com & responsible gambling? on: January 05, 2022, 03:39:45 AM
Seems like that there has been multiple reports in recent months about Stake not enforcing their voluntary self-exclusion principles.

Honestly, I think that at least some blame has to be attributed to the platform themselves. It's simply not good business practice to allow these loopholes/errors within their operations to happen, especially when they know they are dealing with problem gamblers.

But at the same time, it's not completely their fault given that anyone could realistically open a new account and start afresh on the platform. So it's really a mixed bag.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Could Gambling Legalization be a positive thing for Brazil? on: January 05, 2022, 02:42:31 AM
According to the article published :
https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/brazil-gambling-legalization-would-bring-3-5bn-in-annual-tax/
The legalization of Gambling in Brazil alone can bring 3.5 Billion Dollars in Annual Tax. The country have not yet legalized the casino gambling but there have been frivolous attempts to make that happen. At the same time it could also be responsible for creating over 650,000 Jobs in collaboration with Bingo and other forms of betting as well. The country's lawmakers want to tax Gambling industry at 30% to be able to earn from them a descent amount to solve the economic fallout from the last year, in the middle of covid, any move counts and can be important as well.
The president have stern thinking and he is against it but some members think they are just looking 7 years worth of revenue if they are not legalizing it. What I do think is they should keep it into consideration that, be it legal or no people would still do it, might as well, make sure they are doing it on a trusted platform and at the same time bringing revenue for the country as well.

What do you guys think?
Shouldn't it be the sound decision??
Why is the government not legalizing gambling casinos even tho since 2018 sports betting has been legal in the country.

I think that it is a great idea.

There is no point banning something that is inevitably going to come back regardless of what you try to do.

Plus, be legalizing the industry in Brazil they'd be digging themselves out of the hole of hosting the Olympics and wasting a bunch of money there. They'd be able to achieve less expenses in enforcing previous restrictions, and collect billions of dollars as revenue.
