HAM getting transmitted in Outer space on https://outernet.is/ and Crunck said he had some news about some new stuff too, should be good... ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Looking forward to crunk's announcement then. Bring some excitement back to this space, ffs. I know you are waiting to see if Crunck is gonna change the code at all but I sure would like to see him add a few old school bitcoin guys to the dev team, it would be awesome, HAM has always been a proving ground for alternate blockchain tech transport but since it's a altcoin it might be a tall order... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) There was mention of making it a hybrid PoW/PoS coin which I think is a terrible idea. HAM is meant to be moved over vastly different channels than your average crypto and needs fewer moving parts, not more. If it ain't broke, why fix it? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I agree with that statement but alas left as it is at present it will fail.. we need some new input and ideas..... I was involved with HAM/HRC development with the original dev team and am still interested in participating. IMHO pure PoW is a dead end. Also, PoS doesn't really add much complexity. There are many examples of successful PoW => PoW/PoS transitions. Before I met the HAM guys, I was designing CB Radio Coin which had emphasis on minimizing the traffic amount with ideas such as using UDP instead of TCP, etc; see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=744825.0Another interesting HAM related article for those who have not yet read it: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/hamradiocoin-crypto-via-radio-alternative-blockchain-channel/Yours, Jyri

best of luck but for the love of peter. get your website up!
Working on it. I lost the whole domain for a while and just managed to salvage it. Now updating server operating systems before going online...

How would you know NOOB ?
OP you are full of shit.
=D And ya bud we all have made servers ..in case you didn't notice all guys in crypto are hardcore nerds.
Well, it's a different thing to just "build a server" or have two decades of experience of how to do it right. But you'll see things as you see no matter what I say so I'll just let you ventilate your butt without trying to intervene. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Legendary at arguing on the web ? Puuuhleeez nigga i will rape your ass ! I got the crown kids so sit down & STFU. ..and answer the damn question. WHO are you (in Crypto) and why did you need to apologize ? So far i have heard NOTHING and i bet you or your 1 friends in crypto are play along trying to vouch for you. Maybe i should get a hold of some people and ask them to come and vouch for me too ? and Mr i have the intellect of a sack of pebbles.. You think that retort was new ? "Don't mind Spoetnik, he's just the resident moron, know-it-all, troll... " WOW i never hear that before.. TODAY ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) And hey thanks for admitting, I know all ! It's true EDIT:I have not seen or heard the OP's name even one time ! =D again, bud! -j.

So can someone shed some light here? I really would like to know who OP is and why he'd be legendary. Lol
In a nutshell: 1. Who am I and/or do I exist at all? See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=874423.02. What I did & what happened: - I entered the crypto scene at around 2013-2014 and provided different mostly infrastructure related services built on top of the two decades of experience I have of designing and implementing extremely secure and reliable server systems. - I also got myself mixed up with coin rescue projects, taking over handful of currencies that had been dumped by their original developers. I provided these projects services such as DDoS protected addnode seed servers, compiled new wallets against the latest crypto libraries, set up DDoS protected (and very secure) pools for coins that had no pools available, and so forth. - I set up an online shop where you could buy some very high quality deluxe products (AudioSolution's speakers, hand made tube amplifiers etc.) using the cryptos I chose to support. - After supporting several projects out of my own (already quite empty) pocket for a year, and after doing totally ridiculous amounts of work for the crypto scene pro bono at the cost of not having any kind of personal life at all, I just wasn't able to continue any longer. My funds ran out which caused the very carefully set up seed node network, Crypto Shop, the dual fiber Internet connections of my crypto dedicated server room, as well as all other services. I found myself in a situation where there was absolutely nothing I could do. 3. Why I'm considered legendary: Apart from being legendarily difficult to defeat in online discussions, I really don't know. You'll have to ask dopecoindude since I don't really find myself legendary in any other way except abandoning a record number of already dumped projects after promising to take care of them. To mee that's sucky - not legendary. -j.

i don't recall seeing your name come up even once.
Well, then my message wasn't really targeted to you. No apology needed.
Right, not from you. I was writing to those who do know me and from whom I do have something to apologize. Telling us who you think you are is ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Well, the question of who I am (and whether or not I even exist) was once much debated on this forum. The discussion came to a rather conclusive ending, but since you were not around to read it... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) EDIT: Are you David Latapie ? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) No. I'm still who I said I was: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jyrihovilaI guess the next phase of this discussion requires me to take some photos again. =P -j.

Never heard of you, who are you and what did you do that you figured warranted such a...heartfelt...apology.
The scene and the people in it change rapidly. I've never been any level of celebrity on this forum (nor the scene as a whole) and I'm not expecting "everyone" to know me. I don't know you either so... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The point is, those who do know me (and especially those who might have something to say) will notice the account is active again, hopefully finding their way to this thread eventually. I was very active in developing things such as backup communication channels for block chain transfer, privacy & security enhancements, taking over several dumped coins and so forth. I was only away for less than a year, and when I recently came back I noticed that the same general problems still persist; "no block source available" is the most common of them (and I had a cure for that for a while), and it's also still very typical that currency X is still working but there is no maintenance of any kind, no updates even to the most severe security issues etc. What I will be doing (again) is locating and saving dumped currencies that hold certain kind of potential - or ones that I just happen to like. I'll also probably end up providing extremely secure and private server space to crypto related projects, although that will have to wait until everything is set up hardware wise. Last time I paid myself to bankruptcy by investing in too high quality connections too early. -j.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
Dear everyone,
after a long recess caused by a massive burn out, I'm back in the crypto scene.
There is a truckload of stuff I promised to do and never had the energy to finish.
My deepest apologies to anyone and everyone who has suffered (financially or otherwise) from me over estimating my own resources.
I'll start sifting through the TODOs as soon as I possibly can.
No promises this time - I'll let the results speak for themselves.
Still yours,
Jyri
P.S. The domain Altcoin.Center expired simply because I was not able to pay for it any longer. I'll work under the Vertaisvaluutta.fi domain for now. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2
