Tony we still haven't heard from Trollbyfire, 2 Gen is not a lost yet, the community is trying to work together to get other feature in place till we hear from Trollbyfire. We still have Difficulty Shield and Fast transaction. Another Dev is onboard to put some other feature in place, Mac wallet is coming. We have a Multipool, the coin has a lot going for it. We just have bad communication from the DEV. I do understand to rant and you being upset, and I'm one that don't like to be mislead or used either. Be mad at the Dev, but the community didn't do this. And if you read back acouple pages there are some member trying to get other Dev to help. I for one am not trying to mislead anyone.

In other news we lost another pissed off investor. I am incredibly mad. Don't get me wrong. I put in $900 of the money I don't have as a broke college student. Guess what, my LTCD are now worth less than $200. You don't get to be mad because here I am with no money to my name trying to make a difference in this community. I have now spent $240 more of my hard earned money to buy web design software so I can finally stop using a web based CMS that has restrictions and wouldn't allow us to even use HTML widgets. Weak hands in the community good riddance. I'm here to contribute what I can instead of posting negative things and ruining the currency that people have worked hard to build up. Unfortunately TrollbyFire is sick and was not able to do the interview. Soon he gets well again he wil do the interview. We have also some good news about upcoming new features. We have hired a developer to do some work for LitecoinDark. This week there will be a wallet update with:
- Encrypted Messaging
- Stealth addresses
- Mac Wallet
Ofcourse after the new wallet is delivered we must do some testing. Keep up the spirit!

What I can say about the 2nd generation features is simple. The LTCD 2.0 branch is based on a complete redesign of blockchain-based currency. It has been forked directly from a project which I have been working on independently since before LitecoinDark was ever even an idea. Everything about the wallet, protocol -- even the blockchain itself has been redesigned to meet a new development paradigm. I will not give specifics about the 2.0 branch or any of the 2nd generation features until I have finished the 2.0 whitepaper (something I had never intended to release as anything more than a case study or proof of concept until after I joined this team), however, by definition, since it shares almost (possibly even zero) code with bitcoin/litecoin/etc and was written from the ground-up addressing some of the issues with 1st gen blockchain currencies, it is no doubt 2nd generation. In all honesty, LTCD 2.0 shares zero code with LTCD 1.x. Everything has been re-imagined. Mining, staking -- RPC/IPC connectivity, external dependencies, build systems, update procedures -- everything. So I'm sure you can understand why we have not and will not release any specifics until the whitepaper is ready to be published. What I can give you, however, is this:  Nothing special. Except that it's "transcribing" into a "ledger" via IPC/BC-API (through a dynamically-linked library connecting to a ledger daemon implementation.) This particular scribe implementation is written in C#. This particular ledger daemon, C++. But don't expect 2.0 in the near future. As I said before, I'm slowing down my pace because I have other priorities that need attention as well. (Family/Work/Life, etc.) Edit: I also said previously not to even bother giving place to claims that I make regarding progress. If you want to know what's going on, watch the code over the coming months. LTCD isn't even 2 months old yet. Please, be patient. ok. this is clear. thanks |
