Anybody else get forked when difficulty went below 0.03 on Christmas Eve?
Was thinking it was a Christmas Miracle had staked like 2000 or so, however experience has shown me that I was off on my own fork and then block explorers confirmed it for me.
And wouldn't you know it, everything was closed on Christmas day, meaning the quick download of the whole chain bootstrap.
This morning bootstrap downloaded only to find most of my VRC appears to be missing, so left it re-scanning this morning plan to check on it at lunch, fingers crossed...
If it does not help i would suggest getting on Slack. There is "always" someone with the knowledge ready to help out there ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Should be more active here maybe, as Slack got a much bigger and active community than this thread makes it look like. Thanks, happy to report that all is good. rescan brought balances back into play and stakes are popping off with a little bonus... block explorer is verifying it so... I have considered getting on to the Slack, just not a fan of the that app yet. who know someday I may show up there.

1600 contract and 50000 sia coin went to fork cause the new version will not load after I upgraded from 1.2.1 to 1.3.1 Says it encounters a fatal error and then hangs with error messages. \
Check this post for solving those issues: https://blog.sia.tech/troubleshooting-the-recent-hardfork-ca77e0b17f0fBTW, coins are never lost because of a wallet issue. This is a blockchain: coins do not live in wallets, but in the blockchain, and as long as you keep the recovery seed, you'll have access to your funds Thanks for the link!! I was/am mostly concerned about the contracts I have built up, and the hosting service. It it took me forever to get up to volume of hosting contracts. Any idea what the time frame is before host defaults and looses the collateral due to server MIA. NP! Yes, you are required an uptime of 97%. Even if you have 2-3 days of downtime every 3 months, you are still good. I am concerned that as you have not updated your client since last week when the hardfork took place, you might have lost some storage proofs, and so some contracts might be failing... Nevertheless the reputation of your host as observed by the renters should be good as even if your host was outdated and forked out, your data was available. But try to restart your host as soon as possible: delete the consensus and sync your client again. If you are using a HDD for the installation instead of an SSD, consider bootstrapping to save time: https://siawiki.tech/daemon/bootstrapping_the_blockchainAnd if you find problems not being able to sync the last blocks, try this fix: http://siastats.info/nodes.htmlso deleting the consensus got the wallet out of the error mode, it has been stuck on block 82960 for the last couple of hours. I added at least 10 gateway connect addresses from the link above... nothing... think I will look into the bootstrap above. I did see references to deleting the transactionpool.db, am considering adding that step, if delete consensus and then bootstrap doesn't work out. will see.

Update: deleteing the files in the consensus folder allowed the blockchain to reload and looks to solve my issue... well we will see, downloading the chain again...
Error message was reading the following: do not see this type of error on the blog with link above. Will try dropping the Consensu.db and reloading. I was late to update so maybe I am stuck on a fork. what do I need to delete to reload the blockchain but keep my wallet keys?
A critical error loading Sia has occured: Siad unexpectedly exited. Error log: Loading... (0/6) Loading siad... (1/6) Loading gateway... (2/6) Loading consensus... Closing gateway... difficulty adjustment hardfork incompatibility detected

wow so is there anybody else staking this coin? Last block is now 3 hours old! All my funds are tied up waiting to mature but they don't seem like they ever will. you know just checking
The block explorer is on a fork. We uploaded a new bootstrap if you're on it too. Ouch, that bites. Will be interesting to see how that plays out with my latest withdraw from polo since it arrived on my forked chain. But ok will re download chain again. Thx for update.

Hey guys found root of the problem, 1.6.5.2 change in stake splitting was too aggressive for the number of actual staking inputs on the network currently, so coins are being staked too fast and then sitting for maturity and this is destabilizing blockrate which destabilizes difficulty and caused forking. 1.6.5.3 will be released today with good stake splitting parameters and longest chain will be connected to automatically when the wallet finds a node on it once the blocktime is equilibrated, or you can reload blockchain to get on longest chain quickly.
where is verium? wasn't that coin suppose to help power VRC through in such an event as this?

Hi, if someone can clarify. Read about in wallet transfer from vrc-vrm and back. So if I spent my 6000 vrc for 1000 vrm on day 1 can I trade back to 10000 vrc in wallet after ico ends? Also, does anybody know what time zone and time the ico starts? Thanks.

Great News Everyone Our latest sponsor $METAL who won our second auction is currently being promoted through the VIRAL network.
Here is a nice screenshot from bittrex showing the POWER of VIRAL just after a couple hours of promotion with several hours left on his campaign.
Enjoy!
Adam G. Nice, when I see a tweet from me I didn't write means burn some more. This is cool!!!

OK so I have a bit of time to send in my keys... except
So what to do with old bucks when dumpprivkey will not finish due to block chain catching up but 0 active connections? it's been like this for over a month. when I try and do any command from the console i get the following?
Safe mode: The blockchain is downloading and verifying blocks; do not create any new transactions until you get a Thumbs Up in the bottom right corner (code -2)
Thanks
Probably not 4.0.4 it is version 4.0.4. new gorillabucks 6.4.8.0 will not sync either, 1 connection...0connection...1connection etc... will read through thread for addnodes for the new, any add nodes for the old 4.0.4 gorilla bucks? Update: new bucks synced and I got some new bucks for mmxiv and teeth investments, thanks. Still not sure how to get old bucks to sync so that I can get private key off? Could another wallet be interfearing with sync?

what's going to mmxiv ?? -200% In a week !!!
Last week it was on a high the week before it was near 8k sat. 3800 seems like a great buy. Not a good time to sell. Although the coin count is getting up there. Am wondering when it will break less than 1000 sat. 3 million coins will be 6 mil in 18 days or so. 1billion in like 200 days. Does anybody remember how may 10k coins there were when price first reached 1 sat?

Love the fee's on the exchange... So Paul, after I had withdrawn the balance, the logic that figures in the fees' is still in place however the implementation of it looks like it is not. results in withdraws leaving a fee amount in balance. if you can access mine when the site goes down, consider it a tip. Thanks... if you need me to do anything pm me...
although I tried to withdraw btc and is has not come through yet, waiting for approval. user mattei

Everyone needs to just calm down. Spots has NEVER left us hanging, ever. So, everyone relax as he watches these threads constantly, and he probably knew about the problem before you did and is probably working on it now. I am NOT worried in the least, and heavily invested in all his current coins.
Although I will ask , does ANYONE like the brutally slow staking process of Teeth? I know that 10k and balls were insane and were far too fast, and self imploded with inflation, but now, we are on the other extreme end of the spectrum. Not sure which sucks worse. I think there is a middle ground, and im quite sure there will be adjustment forks.
Vegas
I think there are many safeguards against stake and dump if that is really considered a problem. Wrote up my concerns 20 pages back. I conditioned myself to accept this due to coin age appears to grow with conformations which results to me acceptable returns. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1032348.msg11303458#msg11303458 I think 8 hours would be great. 24h little extreme and anything over 48 hours obsessive and starts to have negative effect as chain stalls.

It is still not so stable I guess , your online status is last seen as 29/4 ,that's weird , And I can't even send gemz using this app, 10 gems I sent to my friend is lost I think.
Sent you a PM How many did you move to your phone? I have around 3100 or so in that same state and another 900 or so on my phone I'm afraid to send.

OK, I must be an idiot, because I can not find an noption anywhere on gorilla.exchange to cancel my open sell order.
Do I need to do something special to do this?
Any advice would be great!
m.
The cancel button show for me sometimes on the market page where the order was placed. Sometimes I would refresh the market page a couple times if it at first does not show up.
