2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / reason unlock/ lock on: August 11, 2018, 02:24:50 AM
the 2nd unlock was for some investors who didnt receive their tokens.
so that was not selling of the SVD team.

anyways, SVD forced us all to HODL this crap as the price is down so much that there is not point in selling....

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XDAG] Dagger - new cryptocurrency on: January 22, 2018, 09:39:54 PM
yes CPU mining is not giving anything now?
When is GPU mining coming?

I got less then 10 coins with I7 per day!

I know there are many people use server cluster mining on this ...

have you upgraded to latest miner?
I am still getting ~25 coins a day on my junky old i3 laptop with new miner

I am at 48 coins per server per day now. Mining around 15K per day. hope this helps. I don't think we need GPU Shocked
rate went down a lot for me. I think many new cpus addet last days
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Steemit.com: Blogging is the new Mining on: January 21, 2018, 10:13:16 AM
am i able to "stake" my steem and collect steem dollars like i do with me Neo?   if so ,  what wallet is recommended?  tired of it sitting on poloniex doing nada

If you have a profile on Steemit and you convert Steem to Steem power you get around 9% interest and you are able to upvote other posts and gain more steem power from that. If you have good original content you can also build a following and post content to earn Steem power and SBD from upvotes.

doyou have a source for the 9% interest? I have 10K steem sitting at bittrex. but would lock it in if the 9% thing was true
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XDAG] Dagger - new cryptocurrency on: January 20, 2018, 07:05:55 PM
I am mining with 348 servers at the moment. hope there wont be  gpu miners for a longer time.
some of my friends started shifting their cpu power over to xdag too, we found the coin 3 days ago.

I will hodl the coin as I see some potential in this. might go easily to 1usd or more once public gets aware of this.

Is any exchange planned for the near future? I like getting thousands of xdag per day, hope one day this makes me rich  Roll Eyes

I am buying oax tokens now as the price super low and I bet that de-centralized exchanges will be unstoppable from governments in the future.

china says we stop exchanges, so what no way to stop de-centralized exchanges.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kyber ICO on: September 16, 2017, 07:41:31 PM
Anyone had much luck after the 24hour cap lifted?

Did the transaction exactly 6am when the cap was lifted few seconds later etherscan.io went down

did anyone TX gets cancelled?

https://slack-redir.net/link?url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.kyber.network%2Fthank-you-af6a03dfd4f6&

In the second round of the token sale, 54 lucky members were able to send their contributions ranging from 0.01 ETH to 800 ETH, to the address.

54 out of 20,000?Huh? that's a joke and one got 800eth!! and  crypto wants to change the unfairness of the banks.

This is very wrong to make everybody get 3.6 ETH and then allow someone to get 800ETH worth of kyber? please please please!!

So out of 20,000 people one of them was able to invest 800eth....how many people out of 20,000 can invest that amount??? 1 or 2....but of course that one was lucky to invest the 800eth....fool someone else!! that is not luck!

i tried to sent 500eth but it did not work. I tried it many times. the ETH network was down .. as always with hype ICOs

Which client do you use? If you are using myetherwallet.com it is pretty easy, just select your ERC20 token in the sending form. You need to have some Ether or actually Gas in order to send tokens. If you haven't one you need to buy small amount of Ether first. If you are use native client you need to wait for the answer of someone else. I do not use it.

Can someone explain the process for sending OAX? I've never transferred contract tokens before and just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly? Thanks

Hi tyz,

I use myetherwallet.com, Do i just use the transfer option?

yes, y ou just use the send option , than in the dropdown select OAX and select the number of tokens you want to send out
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ITT Token - AI-enabled Crypto Trading Alerts on: August 26, 2017, 07:41:43 PM
Why this project has more potential even after successful crowdfunding because in this platform artificial intelligence will be used to understand the possible changes in trading markets. This element will minimize the human error and we will be able to predict more correct expected changes to get better results.

is the team doing any advertisement? without it I don't see the ICO ever gain traction. it is stuck at 1.800.000 USD now for a while
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 26, 2017, 07:27:06 PM
no its not late , the dump is always happen at anytime i suggest you buy at 2200-2400 and sell it abov 2500 its good little profit i think also if you hold little more probably its also good long term who know if bitcoin capped at 4000 next year ? lets be positive , and start investing on low amount i guess

so this week I realized why we need Cryppto.

A friend in the US who has a russian name received a wire from my bank account. I never have a problem but my bank account got locked because I did sent money to a "suspicious name" as the bank hotline lady told me on the phone.

this momeny I askemyself why the heck did I not send that guy btc.

Banks can just put your account on hold and stop your life if they want to. so the reason why I have at least 30% of my money in crypto is to secure myself against these gangsters

17  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: August 24, 2017, 02:09:58 PM
How long do you guys think it will take before segwit starts having a major effect on the fees?
As far as getting advantages from segwit activation (for example lighting network) could take several months to see actual advantages, so that will be a curious development to watch, as you mentioned, and surely there are better technical folks that could speculate on these matters.

I think T-Rex means the extra blocksize space

Actual Segwit activation happens at block 481824, according to achow101 above. From there on, people can start using 4MB of blocksize, but only if they're sending to a Segwit address. That will happen before the end of this week, I think around Wednsday or Thursday.

So, you can expect Bitcoin service providing companies (exchanges and larger retailers) to roll out the ability to send to Segwit addresses pretty quick, both to use business2-business and customer-2-business. But regular users need to start using Segwit addresses too, and that takes as long as it takes, no one can force people to do it (the old addresses still work just fine). Miners may begin to incentivise this by prioritising Segwit transactions more, but they already prioritise on the basis of transaction size, so any Segwit incentive would have to be over and above the existing fee per kB logic. All that will take between weeks and months to play out, possibly longer for the last P2PKH addresses to finally move to P2WPKH (the Segwit address/script type).

In addition, there's another BIP out there (171 i think?) that adds a new Segwit specific address format (current practice will be to use Segwit via P2SH addresses). This will be a whole extra new Segwit rollout of sorts. Hopefully, it will be tested and finalised for 0.15.1 (but I'm not at all sure on the specifics, that's just my ideal scenario). This will only add weeks and months to the overall switchover period, but bech32 (the name for the tech behind this new format) has alot of advantages.

Lightning? I expect we can see some test channels running quickly after activation of Segwit, but I think the software clients are still in development even now. Anyone know some more?

I think BIP173 is what you are thinking of:
https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0173.mediawiki

As far as when, that is still up in the air.

with all the drama again. do you tink the btc price might take a 30% dump like last time again? would be a chance to buy back btc . before it moons
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][OAX] openANX - Real World Application of Decentralized Exchanges on: August 24, 2017, 01:57:26 PM
Lol love that chart.
if you believe in a project, always buy on the dip and accumulates more until it's true potential!

Interesting article it was so odd to see how listing on an additional exchange would result in such massive drops! Makes you think about some of the ICOs Binance are pushing, and how many people are buying for hopes of quick gains vs believing in the product.
[/quote]

at the moment it is up 35% from Ico. that is still decent return in my eyes. suree in crytpto we excpetct 600% etc. but in the real world 1-6 % is normal Wink ( in a year. not 3 month)
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: August 24, 2017, 01:53:57 PM
hey guys,
i'm new to the forum and iota is one of the coins i'm most excited about
what really sold me on iota is this interview with one of the founders - https://soundcloud.com/arthurfalls/ether-review-69-iota-the-post-blockchain-era
he seems like a solid guy and explains the tech quite well.
i'm surprised that upon searching for posts on iota in this forum, there are many posts from 1 to 2 years ago of people thinking iota is a scam and being very frustrated. can someone explain to me why?

lots of people thought Bitcoin was scam in the early time too. Even today, some people still think so. Same to Ethereum. People's hearts go with people's treasures and people's intelligence goes with people's hearts.

^ this

You can always tell how legitimite a project is by the number and intensity of haters present.

Haters would not waste their time if they were not afraid of the impending and inevitable disintermediation.

IOTA has tons of haters who spend their most valuable commodity (their time left in their life as it ticks away never to return).  This shows us how valuable and viable IOTA is as a disintermediator.

You should have seen the mountains of ETH haters who ranted daily about how ineffective ETH would be even as it blasted billions in market cap.

Bitcoin haters are governments like Bolivia (what does THAT tell you).

One of the metrics that I use to judge the validity of a project is the amount and intensity of the hate, and BTC wins hands down, however, if you look at percentage of haters vs holders, then it's possible that IOTA has the max metric.  What does this mean in our scientific analysis?

Stay tuned.....

for the next episode....

I think you are right here. while I hate the Iota App (laggy, super slow, complicated (why adress has to be tangled dmanually ) IOta has a great future and most of the people I now are holding for longterm
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 22, 2017, 10:12:44 PM
Surprised byteball trading thus low, almost the same price after 1st airdrop dump. Did people lose confidence on this coin? I think it has pretty good tech behind it.

The whales (mostly BTC whales, who tend to be BTC maximalists) control the price, and a few factors seem to have contributed to the massive drop:

  • Back to back 20% distros
  • Reaching the 2nd half of the distros where more than half the tokens are already in circulation, meaning the "interest" potential of held bytes is disappearing quickly
  • A few technical problems / outages recently
  • The BTC fork creating additional demand for BTC due to the "free" BCH and scaling potential supporting a higher BTC price
  • The post-fork BTC pump creating the (likely) illusion that BTC price is unbounded

Believers in Byteball are using this lull as an opportunity to accumulate more bytes. In my opinion, this project has an extremely bright future, and the price has nothing to do with it.

absolutely my thoughts as well

I am sure the price will go up again with a couple of weeks. the new airdrop will change behavior. I dont think people will sell before hand now
