So, unemployment is a pretty big issue in the world today, and one of the biggest hurtles in Bitcoin is the initial acquiring of coin from standard currency.

I had an idea where someone sets up a Cracked Model of content absorption, say we pay out BTC for every decent article submitted and sold to the site, and make a conventional livelihood out of ads, maybe charging for premium memberships with priority editing and stories for uBTC a month?

Do you think this sort of idea would float? Are there other blogs that have tried and failed with this model?

Are there any plans for adding an API or some method of communication for webapps, as well as a mobile app or webpage program?

So, crazy idea... What if there was a web video editor availible that one could input torrent and magnet links into, and use minimal bandwith by only getting the parts of the files they need for editing?  I know that Bittorent Torque is available to public as btapp.js, and it works in the cloud, so could there be a web editor that has a similar idea behind it, as opposed to just consuming media?

As a long standing worrywart, I've been around the block a couple times and know quite a bit about the art of worrying. When you worry about stuff you cannot possibly control, it can drag you down and make you unproductive with the stuff you can. One thing that helps though is that if you can get other people to worry about things for you, you can get quite a bit more done, as whatever paralysis the worry causes is taken care of with someone else covering it. So, for a going rate of .5 BTC per instance, I will worry about things for you. Be it a vague inkling or a fully realized phobia, I'll be on the case, so you can go about your day knowing that your worries won't bug you if they are already bugging me. Feel free to leave a worry in a private message or a post with your transaction or address, and feel free to negotiate on rates if the problem is small but persistent, big and looming, or otherwise requires a variable amount of worrying not covered by standard negotiations, or requires priority handling. Necroed, anyone interested if I tossed a Dropbox into S3, and got your Put.io shared files into a mutually shared Dropbox folder?

So, Ting has released plans for businesses, (https://ting.com/business) and I was wondering about the logistics of a Mining for Minutes sort of setup, where someone starts up an account, adds a bunch of phones through either BYOD or reselling the Ting Phones to miners, and you can point your machine to a pool to pay off the bill. This seem like an interesting idea, either Bitcoins as a cell phone service, or mining as a subscription alternative?  It would have to be US only, as Ting runs through the Sprint network, but it still seems like a decent plan, and they are the only place I know that offers Femtocells for sale.

Come on, no one wants a If Bit, then that clone?

Recently, I discovered a service kind of like ifttt, but with a build your own app platform using your own API, called Zapier. I  tried to add a couple services to it like Dwolla, Bitinstant, and what not, but my code fu is weak when it comes to JSON get postings, so I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand in adding some more Bit-services to it, as it could be a massively powerful tool in the right hands.

Gareth's probably right on Fraud, but the most valuable thing you lose is credibility. Even when everyone is anonymous, you don't poo where you eat so to speak. That's bad for business, and once people realize that some people make bank by running Gox or Bitinstant by being honest and open, and they are losing out by ripping people off little by little, then there's more of an incentive to be good and not evil. Unless evil is just more fun, in which case, you need to be so smart about your evil, you might as well be legitimate.

Point, people are lazy and want to spend money to make money, using Bitcoin as a test bed currency, since it's not fluid enough to be able to pay for your next meal, but still of value. That's an impulse control problem rather than outright malice, since there isn't a consequence to a falsified trade outside of having to leave town and coming back with a new name, there is a scamming subculture in Bitcoin, and people like to pay for concepts rather than tangible goods, and do get pissed when goods don't deliver. Can we fix even that preception, before our goodwill runs out without gutting Bitcoin's anonymity?

^ The way it was spun to me, Bitcoin was based on not having to trust any one person, that it held wealth because we all agreed on it, no matter what anyone thought. Is Bitcoin built to trust no one, or trust everyone, since we're not doing a good job at either right now.

There is this awesome book called The $100 Startup by Chris Guillebeau that is inspirational crack cocaine to self starting entrepreneurs. Give it a search if you don't mind using my Amazon Link, it's talks a lot about how people have done work and examples of such, and has a drawn out section on the life of a traveling entrepreneur.

On a strictly pragmatic view, you can steal coins, get away, and no one would know the wiser, but the exact same thing can happen to you and you can't come back to the community for help. The thing you would want to do is get crowdfunded for something you are absolutely passionate about, since all the money in the world can't really make someone happy unless you're doing something with it. You get a system worked where the Bitcoin is just motivation or icing on the cake, and you can go a lot farther than anything you'd put your mind to on your own.

That, and on an ethical viewpoint, you are a douche-bag if you see your customers as resource to be farmed and nothing else. Don't be a douche-bag, or else three spirits will tie you to your bed and beat the living crap out of you come Christmas Eve. Or something.

Going to Bump, since the Bitcoin App Store seems like too good an idea to pass up.

That would be AurumExchange, except they don't have Debit Cards running right now. BitInstant also has a plan in the works, but one workaround for right this second is to sell through VirWox into PayPal and use their debit for translation, that's the quickest way I know of anyway.
