1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: September 24, 2014, 07:44:03 PM
Indeed - I first bought BTC when it was $3.

Up to date I maybe convert $35k a month to BTC, when I feel price is unjustified. Also to invest a portion of it in NXT and XCR.
I just see no reason to hold fiat after I take out salary from my own company. Right now I only need it to buy necesseties such as rent and groceries.

Also I was going to buy XMR, but I think the community is frightening and the FUD just got me not wanting to buy any.

Damn, do you own 5000 BTC? How many did you buy at $3? and how did you buy Bitcoin back then? what exchanges did exists? I wish I was as lucky Sad
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do YOU see bitcoin in 1 month? 1 year? 5 years? on: September 24, 2014, 07:36:26 PM
1 month          = 520 usd
2 years (2016) = 700USD
5 years (2019) = 1000USD 'steady price

reason? bitcoin is great , i think it will go rise  step by step and finally become Universal equivalent

If it takes 5 years to ever hope to stratch ATH again, it means we lost the boat and we'll never be rich (or we will be too old to enjoy the wealth). Maybe even it would mean the adoption is way too slow for BTC to become something that normal people is going to care about. Let's hope this is not the case. In any case, if you don't own at least 300 BTC now you'll never retire from BTC which is what everyone wants secretly, so im already kinda meh about Bitcoin. If I can't retire off it, it's pointless.

How much BTC can you make daily if you do every single faucet ever for like 7 hours?
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty with Exchanges on: September 24, 2014, 07:22:39 PM
Use only reliable exchanges and remember keeping funds there is bad and risky

But how are you supossed to take advatange of the ups and downs if you leave your coins outside the exchange? by the time you send them to your exchange wallet it will be game over because it takes too long.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: noob transfer question on: September 24, 2014, 07:16:09 PM
Does the transaction have a message that say "Laxo Trade" or something like that? I also got that and I have no idea what that is.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Starts Accepting Bitcoins In October [FAKE] on: September 24, 2014, 07:09:18 PM
You got me really excited, until the [FAKE] part. So it is confirmed fake or not?
7  Economy / Economics / Re: You work your butt off, and a rich dude does nothing and gets rich - how? on: September 24, 2014, 07:02:52 PM
People aren't "free to leave the job at anytime". If you are working a shitty job, it means you aren't able to find any better, and if you stop working, you are fucked as you can't pay the bills and basic needs. It's subtle slavery, while Mr King has a perpetual luxurious holiday. It's a joke.

So I suppose you just ignored 95% of what I said and continued using the ignorant term.

You do not have to take part in the American Way. Capitalism is not everywhere, there are other societies for you to choose from.  You can leave. Go join a different society, we'll show you the door.
He has pointed an objective fact: You cannot leave a job that will leave you without your fundamental needs covered, because your biological preservation mechanism is telling you to not stop working because if you do, you'll not have food, water and shelter, and you don't want this. You are not free to like this situation, any sane mind doesn't like this. Therefore, under no alternatives, you aren't free to leave your job. This is a fact, and you seem upset at this fact.

The 'fundamental' needs are different for each person.
An educated person may not consider just food and water as fundamental. His fundamental needs would include a minimum standard of living.

Most of us in western society understand as fundamental what is perfect explained in Maslow's piramid. You need MONEY for these. If your only income is your shitty job, you are shit out of luck. Unless you have SAVINGS, you can't just simply quit and "start your own business", that's unrealistic. You are a slave of your own work, if you don't agree, you've never been in that position or you were the small % that go nuts, quit their job, take a loan, and get a successfull business going (the small %, statistically). Poster SeaofBTC is delusional.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: "Apple Pay" on: September 24, 2014, 06:49:28 PM
I may be severly retarded. I've been reading for a while now about apple pay and it still makes no sense to me. Can't grasp the concept. Can anyone explain me in layman terms and how does it correlate with bitcoin in any way?
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Open Letter to Amazon.com on: September 24, 2014, 06:06:19 PM
amazon implementing = BTC going to 50$

If amazon does not keep the BTC, the price could drop. If amazon pay staff salary with BTC, the price will rise.

Salaries in BTC is what we need precisely for BTC not to crash. But do you realistically see them or anyone paying salaries in BTC? and people accepting salaries in BTC, when the price is volatile as fuck? Im not sure about this just yet.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: September 24, 2014, 06:00:04 PM
hopefully one day i will myself be a self made millionaire due to bitcoin, lets hope for the best because ive diserved it , its been a long time coming

How many bitcoin do you have? Im afraid we'll die poor, unless 1BTC = 100K or so, which it's not gonna happen, if you are realistic about things. You can't expect such price rise anymore. We are boat missers.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: PAYPAL PARTNERS WITH BITPAY ET AL on: September 24, 2014, 05:52:37 PM
You guys really think you are having an impact on BTC prices by bumping this thread? lol. In any case, great news, wicked, but let's watch and see. Success will be measured by price (obvious) but by how many ebay merchants addopt BTC as well.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: I think satoshi nakamoto could be the US government (NSA) on: September 24, 2014, 05:46:14 PM
Excellent, brilliant actually. Never thought it. Maybe it is all a big plan by the powers that be to control every transaction ever on us? But as cleverly stated by a poster above, if it's open source how could they possibly control it?
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why btc will die on: September 24, 2014, 05:39:41 PM
I hope to live long bitcoin is still at least 1-5 years in the future after I collect 1000 bitcoin and I sell haha: D

How many do you own already? 1000 is a shit ton. What will you sell them for? USD? what if USD has crashed?
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Easiest way to make BTC? on: September 24, 2014, 05:33:23 PM
Okay, im new in this and i've been reading for a while, i've read this whole thread and decided to start posting, and from what i've gathered, there is 0 ways to make BTC outside investing with your own money... show how u guys pretend that there will be big adoption? Most people i've talked to about bitcoin, says im stupid for putting my money into this.
