More on the Official ziftrCOIN Pool Released

Well to say it’s been a crazy day would be an understatement. Between Botnets on SuperNova and trying to get our GPU mining QT wallet out the door, the team needs to hit the hay for the night.

So in preparation for our upcoming GPU code release, we've opened up our stratum pool, which you can find here. http://www.ziftrpool.io  We also worked with BetaRigs to get their pool up.  http://ziftr.betarigs.com

And we've put some experimental builds of the wallet and CPU miners here http://www.ziftrpool.io/downloads

There are now four pools available, so please spread some hash rate!  Wink

NOTE: the first CPU miner by ocminer does not work with stratum out of the box. The downloads section of the ziftrpool (http://www.ziftrpool.io/downloads) has links to new builds of the CPU miner. This section also contains experimental builds of a QT wallet that let you mine to a pool just by clicking 'Start mining’.

Since we now know that the added hash rate was from BotNets, we are back to our release schedule of GPU Qt wallets next (Wednesday), and then we will add PIMP support at some time in the future.  This can change at any moment depending the hashing environment.  As always we are dedicated to getting Ziftr into the hands of more people and will do all that we can to make that happen.  Thanks again for all the support.

First of all thank you for your comments and your input. We really appreciate it and we are all listening to what you have to say to help guide our development efforts.
As many of you already know, I'm a miner pic.twitter.com/ks6n33Ry5D, and I brought our team into this because I believe in BitCoin and the blockchain. We as a team also believe that there have to be some big changes in how people engage with cryptocurrency before we can get mass adoption.
Our main goal with ziftrCOIN is to appeal to a new group of consumers who aren’t very familiar with cryptocurrency and haven't experienced all the benefits it can bring to the world. On the merchant side, we are bringing cryptocurrency to the masses with ziftrPAY, our multi-cryptocurrency/credit card payment platform. On the mining side, we are trying to bring cryptocurrency to the next group of potential miners, by releasing some intuitive tools to the market that will make it easier to mine along with a coin distribution curve that slowly grows over time, that keeps mining profitable.
With that said, I wanted to take this opportunity to give you some insight into our release schedule.
First, we will release an upgraded ziftrCOIN-Qt wallet that will allow you to pool mine; along with that we will release a stratum-based Ziftr Pool. Next, we will release another upgrade to the ziftrCOIN-Qt wallet that will allow you to GPU mine right from the Qt wallet. Finally, we will release the GPU code along with PiMP releasing an update to GPU mine via PiMP.
We feel that it's important to give all the gamers and people with small GPU rigs an easy and efficient way to mine before the larger GPU farms start mining. It is our hope that the community is more inclined to help spread the word about ziftrCOIN and wait to use it through the merchants who will have adopted ziftrPAY versus just selling the coins on the exchange. We’ll have updates on our ziftrPAY merchant network in the coming months, and plan to reach critical mass in time for Black Friday/Cyber Monday 2015.
If we want to see wider adoption of the Bitcoin – and I think we’re all on the same page there – it's in all of our best interest to create easy systems and mechanisms that facilitate the use of cryptocurrency. That's what we're trying to do at Ziftr and we really appreciate your support. Thanks again for all the feedback.
