I think they did this to make an example out of him. To scare bitcoin entrepreneurs and investors.  Undecided

No, they did it because it's against the law. Handing out one of the lightest sentences possible for this crime with 90 days off to get your affairs in order doesn't send much of a message. If they're sending any message it's: hey bitcoiners, we don't have anything against you but your bro broke the law. We have to do something about it so we're slapping him on the wrist and sending him to Club Fed for a couple of years.

Yeah but, if we must have this "Club Fed" in order to maintain a civilized society (which one could debate the need), shouldn't that place be reserved for people who harm others and our environment. Who did Charlie hurt? and was it direct or indirect?

War sucks, let's hope we ALL figure out a way to put an end to these unnecessary conflicts that cause so much pain and destruction.  Cry

My being a newb on these particular forums doesn't make what I said invalid. There are various ways to keep involved in coins, this is not the only place people talk crypto.

Correct.

I've actually had this account for a while, just haven't posted until now.

False, this is a brand new account. You would have more credibility if you were a lurker for 1 yrs + but a new account and shilling out paycoin immediately looks bad:

Not false, 3 months qualifies for a "while" in my book, I wasn't really being specific on time with that claim. That's fine, I get and respect the trust system on these forums. It makes sense to have and use this to a certain degree, but I assure you I am real and I invest in other coins as well, I just don't like when people slam a good coin and call it a scam when that is not true. Anyway, I have a busy life and can't sit here all day defending paycoin, I'm invested, I think it's a good coin, most definitely not a scam, but they don't pay me for promoting the coin. You can do whatever you want with your money.

the only people supporting XPY are newbie accounts

that should tell you something.

PS. if you dont know what that means then you should just leave this forum and never return because it is not for you.

I just thought maybe someone would like to hear things from a person who has actually been invested in this coin since the beginning.

I think you're just looking too much into this and trying to find foul play. You might be confused with the way some of the coins were mined and distributed later. All of us who owned cloud mining equipment were given the option to mine hashpoints, later exchanged for XPY. I mined and received my coins as did everyone else. As an early adopter of this coin, and GAW cloud mining in general, I have to strongly disagree with you that this is a scam. I think this is actually one of the best coins out there right now, and I'm not just saying this because i'm invested, it is well thought out and has had a very successful launch so far. Josh and the GAW team are very good about communicating with investors and keeping everyone updated on what they are doing. I hope for it's success, but can't guarantee it, invest wisely. It's always a risk investing in a coin, but this is not a scam, they fully intend on succeeding in their stated goals.
