1  Economy / Games and rounds / BitAnswers.com $300 Thanksgiving Challenge: Win BTC for points on B.A! on: November 30, 2014, 09:39:29 AM
https://bitanswers.com/

Hi everyone!

We have decided to host a challenge on our website, BitAnswers. This challenge will take place over the next 14 days. BitAnswers.com is a Q&A website with bitcoin tipping and bounties.

Our users currently get rewarded on our site by accumulating points for their participation on our website. Users get points for posting questions, posting answers, and receiving upvotes. The points are one measure of the ways our users enrich the BitAnswers community. We want to challenge our users to see how else they can help the community. Whether that means posting questions and offering bounties or answering other users questions, we want to see everyone form a unique community where everyone helps each other out.

So in the spirit of giving and this holiday season, we challenge our users to help each other out.
We will measure users' contributions through the accumulation of "points" in the next 14 days: Users who accumulate 2,000 additional points within the next 14 days will receive $10 each (up to 10 users). Users who accumulate between 1,000-1,999 additional points will receive $5 each (up to 20 users). Users who accumulate between 500-999 additional points will receive $1 each (up to 100 users).

Make sure the points are obtained in accordance with BitAnswers's Community Guidelines. We are working on implementing a ranking system and every question, up-vote, and down-vote, will contribute to your credibility and reputation as a user. Also, new users are more than welcome to participate in this challenge.

Again, thank you and happy holidays!

i've posted a question on mine there, lets see how long it takes to be answered Smiley

Only 8 out of 325 questions on our site are unanswered, so there is a reasonable chance you will get an answer. Thanks for signing up and asking a question. I have added $0.14 to your account.

BitAnswers is a question and answer site with paid and free questions, using Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin as accepted currencies. We allow any types of question, not just limited to digital currency. However, many of our users are familiar with bitcoin and are more than happy to help.
I will give every user $0.01+ in bitcoin on our site for signing up and posting questions or answers.

Please post here with your site username. Thanks!

Note: I will tip more if you post questions with a bounty

For how long will you be paying for answers and questions?

We have been doing this for nearly 2 months and we aren't planning on stopping. It will continue for at least a month, but probably 3-4 depending on how fast we grow.

how does tipping work in this site?
how can you see your balance?
how can you deposit/withdraw?
i couldn't find any section for these, post a link if there is any please.

Hi, we haven't created a complete help section yet, but will do in the next few weeks.
Each user has a wallet built into the site, transactions (tipping) works off the blockchain, so there are zero network fees.
You can see balance by clicking "Cryptocurrency" at the top.
Withdrawal and deposit buttons are also on "Cryptocurrency".

A question and answer site where bounties can be set for questions, which are paid out in bitcoin to the best answer. Bounties typically range from $0.01 to $0.50, but the feature has only been available for a few days (site has been in development for past 4 months).
0.0005 BTC (Currently $0.17), 0.002 LTC or 2 DOGE withdrawal limit (users can choose to get paid and pay for questions in BTC, LTC or DOGE, we convert to their preferred one.)

https://BitAnswers.com - our site does just that. BTC, LTC and DOGE bounties, and tipping. Over 900 registered users and 200 questions, since Rugatu has closed, we are the biggest Bitcoin enabled Q&A site. We used question2answer as a base, and built onto it for our custom design and bitcoin.

So I can see that it's tip-enabled. Can you provide statistics as to how many people get tipped?

We have had 14 people deposit, excluding us. We are tipping most users of the site, and most of these either withdraw or tip others. I don't have any data for just our users, but total tips, including us, is 114.

114 what? $/Satoshis/BTC (no way)/euros? I'll check it out when I have time!

Sorry for the confusion. I meant 114 tips, with each ranging from about $0.002 (minimum tip amount) to $0.40 (highest we have had so far). However, the main part of the site is now the bounties, rather than tipping. But that was only released yesterday, so it's too soon to give any stats.

I like the minimalist design. Are you planning on dogecoin/litecoin etc support?
However, if I copy and paste an address and accidentally copy a space at the start or end, it doesn't work. Blockchain.info cuts off spaces, but your site doesn't. Please consider trimming off spaces before processing the search.

https://bitanswers.com

Me and reddit.com/u/cheettopuffs have been working on a website similar to Yahoo Answers in the past couple of months. However, we have support for dogecoin, bitcoin and litecoin tipping and bounties.

Bitanswers allows users to ask questions and get good quality responses, quickly. We aim to build a platform which is highly moderated to avoid spam and trolling, providing a fun and informative website. Lots of features are planned, including a new UI, more rewards, and setting prizes for users who answer your questions.
Our tipping system allows you to deposit and withdraw funds, with a minimum withdraw of 0.005 BTC.
We have over 900 users already, and would like to invite you to join. Please help contribute, and receive some bit/lite/dogecoin in our promotions.

We have just introduced a new bounty system! When asking a question, you can set a bounty which is given to the selected answer. This helps encourage better, more detailed responses and gives your question better visibility. Completely optional. Minimum of $0.01.

Thank you, feedback would be appreciated.

All tips are done off the blockchain, so you can tip tiny amounts without huge transaction fees.
