The next year, he was hired by Allied Irish Banks to improve its currency-trading software, and he co-authored an academic paper on peer-to-peer technology.[1] Fast Company's investigation brought up circumstantial evidence that indicated a link between an encryption patent application filed by Neal King, Vladimir Oksman and Charles Bry on 15 August 2008, and the bitcoin.org domain name which was registered 72 hours later. The patent application contained networking and encryption technologies similar to Bitcoin's. After textual analysis, the phrase "...computationally impractical to reverse" was found in both the patent application and bitcoin's whitepaper.[2] All three inventors explicitly denied being Satoshi Nakamoto.[3][4]

Does the confirmation time depend on the fee amount? Or is MultiBit slow due to its thin-client nature? I tested this with satoshiDICE: played 0.5BTC with the Bitcoin-QT client. No fee was charged. Got the reply 14 minutes later. played 0.4BTC with the Bitcoin-QT client. Fee was 0.0005. Got the reply within 1 minute. played 0.2BTC with the Bitcoin-QT client. Fee was 0.0005. Got the reply within 4 minutes. played 0.2BTC with MultiBit. Fee was 0.0001. Several hours have passed, no reply yet.
