1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: May 18, 2015, 04:26:29 AM
Okay...even worse now. The fan on my miner never turns off and there is a red light near the ethernet connector. Can anyway give me a stock C1.img or a network.conf with DHCP? ASAP

It seems deliberate as if to dissuade.

And no, simply flashing the card wouldn't give me the fix I need.  It would be in the .1.0 network after flashing the card unless you have an idea how to reset the 192.168.1.99 to another subnet on the card before it goes in the machine.

So, no.  Holding the reset for 90 seconds brings it to that, 192.168.1.99,  state.

The S5's wake up to DHCP so subnets are not a problem.  But water cooled has lower temps than hard fan like the S5.

My C1 image with DHCP setting

www.perearstike.ee/C1/C1first.zip

You can use it.

Another one here if anyone needs it, quite an old firmware so will need updating.

/BlhRdE]SD image in case of corruption. | That image is set to DHCP so visit your router to find the IP assigned.

Wow...I know I shouldn't have said even worse...now the fluid tube into my miner exploded...it wasn't even mining! Just sitting idle!!! With fans on...

Alright, I've got a major issue with one of my C1s.

This miner was working fine last week. I can't for the life of me figure out why this is hapenning.

I would really appreciate it if you guys/girls/both ( Wink) checked out my Titcoin pool, here. I have been working on this for a while now, and am really proud that I managed to fit it into my school schedule (I'm only 12!). I only have a 1% fee, and the only reason I did this is to help support the server and electricity costs. I also have a stratum server, either 8.28.153.3 or rewq.us.to, port 3333. So thanks for reading and have a great day!

Thanks!  Smiley
Alright, web frontend is up and working at this page. I also have made a node at 8.28.153.3!

Titcoin is a crypto-currency that was designed specifically for the $10 billion adult entertainment industry where privacy and anonymity are key consumer factors. Titcoin gives consumers the ability to make discreet micropayments while benefiting businesses with extremely low transaction fees.

Originally conceived in November 2013, Titcoin was officially announced in January 2014 with a final build of the wallet compiled in February. Titcoin was formally launched to the public on June 21, 2014.

Titcoin was developed by a small group of cryptocurrency advocates who saw the adult entertainment industry as the perfect conduit for bringing digital currency into the mainstream. We are a team that consists of seasoned professionals with years of experience in digital marketing, finance, business development and technology.

Our primary goal is to raise awareness of the cryptocurrency industry and increase greater public adoption of alternate forms of currency. We believe Titcoin will help all of us by creating strong cryptocurrency demand in an industry where anonymity and privacy are key drivers.

Finally, we believe in transparency. We are an independent group of enthusiasts who are very active in the cryptocurrency community. Plus we have a history of giving back to the community through giveaways, bounties and rewards. What you see is what you get, and we are more than happy to answer any questions about our objectives and long-term vision.

The Titcoin development team is a 5 Plus+ PoD (Proof of Developer) rated organization.

not really. i pay 0.064 and it was not worth it at ~$330 BTC

dpends on how optimistic you are regarding price and network difficulty growth slowing down over the next 12 months. At $0.13 USD/kwh my assumptions include >$1000 by 2016 and difficulty growth sticking around 4-5%/jump for the next while, at least until price growth. Theres also the fact that hardware often sells used for 2-3x its mining value near the end of its life. Right now, S3 units are still selling for $200 and the S1 goes for ~$50 on sites like kijiji, craigslist, ebay, despite the fact you can get new hardware that is similar hashrates but more efficient for similar $/GH.

all i can say is good luck to you LOL. im not going to pay $700 a month in power bills hoping to make money some time down the road maybe (probably not)

s1 are not going for $50 on ebay. maybe in including shipping.

i sold 70+ of them for about $20-$25 on ebay a couple weeks ago.

and the s3s for $150-$180 including shipping
No one realizes that all you have to do is make friends with some guys in the dorm for free utilities!
I have never heard of a dorm where utilities aren't free, but it is usually archaic wiring. (I had a laptop catch fire from an electric surge)
If you can survive for four months, then you've paid off your miner!
Eh, just get a surge protector power strip thingy...
Get a good one, high amount of joules protection. At least with my university they required mac address to connect to the network, you might have to run the miners through a pi and at worst case scenario buy a hotspot.
Ditto. None of those "much super quality" ones

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How does one create an altcoin? on: January 13, 2015, 05:17:27 AM
Hello all. I'm looking to make a very simple SHA coin called TestCoin (for miner testing, etc.). How exactly would I go about this? I would prefer NOT to use a service like CoinCreator if possible.

Thanks,
HD
13  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Overclocking an AntMiner C1... on: January 12, 2015, 08:57:16 AM
Just like the others you go to miner configuration with in it advanced settings.  Once you go there the freq and voltage can be changed.

Advanced warning overclocking voids warranty.
Problem is I can't find any values to overclock to...
IE what is voltage for 275?
Checked chip spec sheets for values, almost blew up miner.

15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer C1 Setup [HD] on: December 27, 2014, 08:31:39 PM
What about wireless? It's really cumbersome to drill holes for a neat looking ethernet cable...
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer C1 Setup [HD] on: December 27, 2014, 07:24:49 PM
Is the cooling kit necessary?

100%, yes. If you want something similar but without watercooling, pick up an S3 or S5.

Great work on the guide! I gave up on the gibberish instructions with the kit. I am noticing a massive amount of "discarded" shares...

Is this normal?

Discards are entirely normal and shouldn't really be displayed at all as they're meaningless in regards to mining performance. Think of it as someone counting how many times you close your front door on the way to work, in a work performance report.

Alright, great. Anything on overclocking yet? I did see a field for that but have no idea what voltage to select. Also, where' s the SSH?

Also, any guides about the S5?

Sorry to bump a dead thread, but what wireless antenna did you use and where did you get it? I can’t find one anywhere!
