1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 16, 2015, 07:39:40 PM
Generally for all Neptunes and Titans I recommend good quality cables and connectors to keep them running reliably. Like a good 16AWG y-cable. I have mine done by Shakmods, running non-stop since September @ 500MHz "burn-less" Tongue

BONUS NEPTUNE OWNERS BEWARE!

As mentioned before, the Bonus Neptunes do not have thermalpads on PWM modules and the included fans do not provide enough airflow.

But here comes the good part, there are other "bonus" features:

Badly installed heatsink with bad contact to ASIC heatspreader

Someone during assembly left a Torx screwdriver head inside the Neptune Cube! Shorting circuits FTW!

I have never seen such an amateur work, and I am deeply disappointed. Apart from the ASIC chip itself, KNC machines look like a high-school science project.

Live and learn, I guess. Some justice would be nice though.

Hello. I would really appreciate any info as to why there have been no payouts since 19th May 2014.

It could be a switch to a different pool and therefore a different payout method / interval. Some confirmation that the machines are running would be nice.

Hello.

I am a GPU miner, own BTC and like the several Bitcoin concepts.

I have been reading this forum since it was on a different site ( or linked from bitcoin.org, can't remember exactly ).

I would like to be granted access to the ASIC Hardware and  the MINING software subforums so I can participate in a group-buy and discuss some CGminer issues.

Thank you,

regards,

Juula

Oh, to also prove knowledge. Well ... I think I can answer any general question to the Bitcoin concept and in general, Bitcoin SW, to the network and mining. I know rough history from about April 2011 ( since that's the time I became involved ).

If Bitcoin becomes widely adopted, 1BTC might soar past the value of 1000$.

Today it is becoming more popular and normal business (pubs, hotels, ...).

This popularity and the expansion of this market is catching the government and banks eye.

No regulation, tax evasion etc are all problems right now and I sincerely hope this gets settled so it can be government approved, yet not government controlled.

TLDR If you think about it, 1BTC has no problem of having a higher value than 1000$ but the government might just shut it down or outlaw it :/
