800 bucks for an ipad? I guess that is a good deal right. I didn't see any huge savings on things. I don't think this has caught on yet.

I created bitcoin.conf using Windows New -> Text file, even though it showed "bitcoin.conf" as the file name, there's a hidden extension .txt. I renamed it using DOS and everything worked fine.

This was exactly it. I sent a bitcoin to say thanks
3  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / bitcoin -server error on: February 08, 2011, 04:52:48 AM
When running bitcoin with -server I get this error message:
Quote
Warning: To use the "-server" option, you must set rpcpassword=<password> in the configuration file:
C:/Users/username/Appdata/Roaming/Bitcoin/bitcoin.conf

In bitcoin.conf I have:
Quote
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password

Am I missing something?

What makes these rigs so great for bit coin mining?

That's why I'd have no problem paying for TOR to fight the stupid law to counteract my forced funding of the stupid law.

There are other pay versions of Tor available.

There, you have some problems:

    * The anonymity would be somehow compromised since the relay would be able to link different connections of yours. He still shouldn't be able to decrypt it if he's not the exit-node, nor know your IP, but anyway, sounds a bit more vulnerable than the current protocol...
    * There's a trust issue too. If it's a prepaid contract, the user has to trust the relay. If it's post-payed, it's the relay that must trust the user. Maybe the best would be a prepaid service with some sort of flagging mechanism to ban fraudulent relays. But then, all the thief-relay needs to do is request a new IP to his ISP...

There is also the problem that each relay will want to be paid. This would add up rather quickly and become burdensome to those who can't afford it. Just because you can't afford it doesn't mean you shouldn't have freedom.
8  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Dragon Tale's - A thought of the game. on: February 06, 2011, 03:52:22 PM
My impressions of the game weren't quite in the awesome direction.
-The WASD keys didn't work for movement. I had to click on the terrain to move my character.
-Moving the cursor to the left and right edges to turn is annoying.
-Moving the cursor to the top and bottom edges to zoom was even more annoying. I expected it to look up and down since left and right turns left and right.
-As far as finding statues with more than 5btm, good luck.
-The name of another character that I never actually saw filled up way too much of the screen.

Overall it is a good game but it still in beta.

This is posted on my tumblr:

So is it a couple pages of 2 people having sex? Why should I pay for this and not just go to one of several erotic sites on the web for free stories?

Last night I set email preferences to one cumulative email once a day and over night I received 29 emails saying my auction ended yesterday. Is this a known issue?

it is now up to 44 emails
