1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: GloFo tests 7nm. We prolly shall see miners on this node next to next year. on: July 15, 2015, 10:09:21 PM
7Nm is going to be used in multi billion dollar markets such as cellular phones.  Until BTC goes up in price the entire mining market is only $400M right now for everyone.  Even if you were 25% of the global it's barely going cover the investment of 16Nm right now.  Most large companies make a number of different iterations of a desired processor before releasing the final product.  There are a lot of hidden costs in R&D and development that would not make 7Nm viable for some time without an increase in BTC price.

2  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hardware whats going on? on: July 15, 2015, 10:02:59 PM
That "yesminer" is an obvious scam.  It's always a bad sign when they're taking pre-orders for delivery 5 months later from a "team of veterans" none of whom are listed.  Anyone that does not have a reputable established name in the industry is not worth the risk of a pre-order.  It's like saying if you give me $100 today I'll give you $200 in 5 months.  The only companies I would recommend a pre-order relationship with is:

Spondoolies
Bitmain
Bitfury (not so sure they're selling gear)

Those are the only ones that I know have created products without taking millions of dollars from their customers and not providing what they promised.

3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buying Antminer S5 from Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2015, 05:07:15 AM
Bitmain is very reliable.  I too am in the USA and have bought from them a number of times.  The products have arrived very quickly and without issue.
4  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Need software fix for Cointerra, willing to pay per hour for working fix on: March 27, 2015, 05:29:44 AM
Hello all programmers with experience in CGminer and Cointerra systems.  We are currently running a number of cointerra systems.  I have come to the conclusion that the software that regulates the chips voltage is problematic and doesn't work right.  On a notable amount of machines when down clocked the machines start off at a slightly higher than normal voltage but instead of slowly lowering the voltage to an acceptable level it goes the other way until the voltage is way over where it should be.  This causes atrocious efficiency and most likely causes the boards to fail over time as their running way hotter than they should be.

I'm hoping someone can do one of two things to the cointerra version 7.56 software:

Option 1: put an adjustable limiter into the software so that the system cannot adjust the voltage above a preset amount that would be configurable in the web interface much like the speed setting is configured in web interface.  It could be simply a drop down menu that is like 0.6V 0.615V 0.62V etc.

Option 2: completely remove the voltage regulating software in the cointerra machines and simply set a preset voltage based on the speed selector.  For example at speed 4 it would be like .63V or something to that effect.

I'm willing to pay for someone per hour to fix these issues, or a fixed price.  I'm running a lot of these machines, the fix will be worth the investment of money for me.

I can be reached at 408.582.8878 or PM me

5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra 1.6TH Units Exploding with flames shooting out. on: March 19, 2015, 09:33:26 PM
There is voltage problems with cointerra units.  If you connect an amp meter up to them they draw way over power on start.  If you are plugging them into a 120v outlet it could probably cause that.

7  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB Large quantities Bitcoin mining systems 1 watt per gigahash or better system on: November 01, 2014, 08:49:04 PM
We have some extra space (about 1.2 megawatts) that we can put some older generation equipment in if the price is right.  We're looking to purchase large quantities of 1W per G or better systems.  Please have a minimum of 200T worth of equipment.  Please contact me at Yan@aquiferllc.com or give me a call at 408.582.8878.

Thanks!

Yan
