This is a horrible way to do it, as there is also a circle that shows how much time is left to act before being auto-folded.
Every time I win a hand and see that circle moving rapidly I scan the table to make sure there is no one left and that my time is not running out but that I've won the hand.
I don't know why that circle is necessary after a win, but if they need it they shouldn't use a circle - use a horizontal bar that says "Winner" or something like that so it won't be confused with the "Time is up" circle.

I think the circle you refer to is the timeout to show or muck your cards. I have set the client to auto-muck so I dont get this anymore though
