Hello everyone, I've been pretty busy lately with non-crypto life but I did have a chance this week to make a proper pitch to the Blocknet, essentially proposing that they might consider taking over development of the EventToken project and integrate it with the Blocknet. If this proves to be a fruitful avenue to finding development resources that can manifest this application of blockchain technology to event ticketing and finances, I think EventToken could potentially serve to be one of the most viable resources available through the Blocknet, a cross-chain communication protocol/platform that is making some interesting moves in this space right now. You can follow the conversation re: this proposal at the Blocknet's Public Meeting ConceptBoard: https://conceptboard.com/board/df5k-3bu1-7hfa-i6uz-k865For more information on the Blocknet: http://blocknet.co/DonShoshan has also gratefully shared this information with the CCC - CryptoCurrency Collector Club - on Facebook. ~infinitechaos

I made a proper update to the OP today.
You will see that I've added a list of nodes, the address at which the premine is located, a link to the Bittrex market, and an update on where we currently stand.
I removed the mining pools and Dean's POD certification.
I plan to wait until the end of this week to hear back from Dean about retrieving the XCP fork. If I don't hear from him by Friday, it's time to pursue plan B.
If you have insight or input to offer, or just want to watch us figure this out, please PM me for an invite to Slack.
Thanks for your ongoing support, everyone!

How about post this kind of info here….
IRC is first source on information. I don't necessarily want to posr private conversations on a board like this, knowing how many trolls and destructive types there are around. You only have to look at the first few pages of this thread to see how the attitudes is in general on this forum. If people make the effort to get on our IRC chann then there is more chance they are genuinely interested in the project and want to support it and see it do well, rather than troll and fud. To be honest this is probably the last place I post info of what is going on, first IRC then twitter then on here.

i think EVENT will surprise us all I think (you may be right) therefore I am (buying) Definitely flying under the radar at the moment. Lots of real-world potential. Have there already be contacts with interested festivals? yeah, if you were in IRC you would see some of hte email conversations we have had.

Issues Here, I have done the update and staking has increased from 0.00000001 to 0.00000002 though ever new mine results 16 so far in total are generated but not accepted
there has been no change to the staking code yet, it updates on block 55k. Do you mean you have had a lot of orphan blocks? Yes all orphan blocks 16 in a row 17 block has mined 18th block is generated but not accepted/orphan 17th most recent block paid 0.0002 so this is huge compared to all past blocks of only 0.00000001 that my wallet has mined 18 Block back to 0.00000001 and has generated but not accepted/orphaned It's not a big deal, it happens with all POS coins. Someone else got that particular stake reward before you, but your inputs will increase their coin age and eventually stake all the same. As for the low stake reward, if you have the latest wallet the accurate intended POS rate of 4% will kick in at block 55k in a few days. Yes I have the latest wallet and had no issues until i done the update to the new wallet with orphans and the old wallet staked regular. Now I have no staking its still 18th showing in the transactions 18th last block mined and not accepted my au wallet date & time 09-01-15 time 00.28 My staking icon says 8 seconds to earn a reward though nothing has happen in a long while since midnight 9 hours ago. Status: conflicted, broadcast through 19 nodes Date: 8/1/15 21.41 Source: Generated Debit: 0.00 Event Net amount: -4997.05000001 Transaction ID: fb1191cf6faec59123ce528ae70aa07b044149bd38551f3daa64d7e65d803315 go to the stats tab update it and check the block number against block exploerer.

@Eventtoken. big thanks! a little missmatch is still in the source - please edit src/qt/bitcoin.qrc like i wrote in an old post : please clean up the first lines in src/qt/bitcoin.qrc for other linux people. the eventtoken png's are not named with capitals, so it makes trouble compiling with linux. Event Token-80.png =! eventtoken-80.png should work: <RCC> <qresource prefix="/icons"> <file alias="bitcoin">res/icons/eventtoken-80.png</file> <file alias="techbg">res/icons/eventtoken256.png</file> <file alias="bitcoin_testnet">res/icons/eventtoken-80.png</file> <file alias="toolbar">res/icons/eventtoken-16.png</file> <file alias="toolbar_testnet">res/icons/eventtoken-16.png</file> ... after this fix it compiles fine. please link the non-trade git on the OP too. not everybody likes to sneak all the posts before compiling. changed the link to git root.

GIT now updated
we have also added a simpler compile with no trading for linux guys that were having trouble compiling the stake aspect.
new wallet is now available in OP for both MAC and WIN this upgrade is mandatory before block 55000 or you will be booted from network and will need to delete your blockchain and download new wallet Stake rewards will be correct from block 55K WIN WALLET MAC WALLET
Mandatory wallet upgrade will need to be done before block 55k
if you update after block 55k you will need to delete your blockchain
...for mandatory wallet upgrade
nice. please remember a cleaned source, or a version without in-wallet trading for us linux guys. already done. Wallet done will be updating git either this afternoon or tomorrow morning with non trading linux wallet and new wallet where stake will change on 55k need to update nodes before publishing source

Also created another large block array this morning, block speeds really fast now.
OK problem fixed, looking at the possibility of block 65000 for mandatory wallet upgrade

Do you have an approximate date on the fork?
OK so we are still looking at this and it is just mega wierd if you go into QT and look at getmininginfo stakeinterest" : 4000000, this is correct the number is right. Why it is giving the wrong reward is so strange. Still investigating.

Do you have an approximate date on the fork?
should be able to give it to you on Monday when back in the office. The holidays have really screwed with our schedule.

But stakes aren't proper yet correct? A fork will be incoming to fix?
correct
