Having some trouble with the wallet installation.
First of all, I want to install my wallet on D drive, but I can only find uninstall icon there. And the rest of the files are on C drive (program files...), even though I changed my installation location to D drive.
Any workarounds here?
Furthermore, after installation, when I click on new/import wallet which folder should I choose? I tried with the default one: AppData\Roaming\IOCoin
and I'm getting errors:
1. EISDIR: illegal operations on directory
2. Timeout occured connecting to sever.
P.S I only downloaded the wallet installation and not the Bootstrap or full blockchain files. Could this be the cause of an issue? If, yes in which folder should I download bootstrap. I presume AppData\Roaming\IOCoin
Thx
you should be able to install in d drive...create folder there first and then when promted during installation process...point to that flder. use the bootstrap...it will save you a lot of time .. also there is support channel available on telegram

Todays is a big step forward for IOC....block call for DIONS coming
|
|
|
No more growth potential left, biggest release of all time for the coin is this week and no one gives a shit. It will dump with DIONS, dont get burnt.
uhh ok ...lol

AND? not sure what your point is. Derek Hatton is Derek Hatton. what u want. If you dont like it move along
Derek is not hiding, nor is he a pre-mined fud type dev. He is here to stay and have been staying along with richard and joel. IOC isnt here to just scam, literally our product is working unlike most out there that is shilling with ico funds and having a great mcap bigger than ours. With the call for more info on derek, think ioc team addressed it before that Derek is focusing on development so not frequently around. Plus, think a developer works best when there's not much fud going around that he has to address. Is there some numbers anywhere for the rewards? Is it pointless if you dont have masternode? masternodes schmasternodes.....this project doenst use them or need them. probably the highest percentage staking coin since 2014. eash wallet is its own node....and will earn approximately 1.1% interest per year on balance in wallet. (that is based on apprx 50% of coins staking....which is historically where its been). until DIONS releases under current algo rewards would be like... 100 will earn about 1 ioc per year....1,000 probably 11 per year the real value is not in staking reward alone but in appreciation value in token that comes from have such a strong pos staking network. (see growth in tokens value over time) and with release of DIONS, staking rewards should increase exponentially as fees for such things like DION registration, document storage and encrypted decentralized chat all carry fees that go back to stakers

thanks for posting that. great innovation. kudos team. I think a new standard has been set for functionality and graphical interfaces for all wallets to come

ive asked some of these question a few times already. be nice to have some answers
when does algo for mining change?
if it has already switched is there a pool where we can mine?
if it has already switched, why is supernova pool live? are they mining dead chain at this point?
|
|
|
is there x11 pool?
supernova pool mining scrypt still seem live...are those tokens still good?
wahtup
ninja launch for x11 mining is certainly not a fair launch

Hello everyone
Im fairly new in Crypto universe but i have heard alot of good things about IOC. Can anyone explain to me in a very simple way how the token/coin is connected to IOC? How will there be value in the token?
Thanks
the tokens are both the reward for supporting the blockchain network and they are also the payment needed to use the features that will be available in the upcoming release of DIONS. Downloading wallet and running it at as staking node ( set secure password and mark the checkbox for staking) will earn tokens. Tokens are currently worth around $2. Current rate of return is 1% ...like earning interest) Once DIONS releases rewards will also include fees for using its blockchain features so anticipation is rate of return on staking will increase dramatically :-)

When does algo switch?...is there a set date?...or is just being pushed back until x11s arrive?
|

I like the move to pos....but interest rate of 30% is too high and will not make for a token that will appreciate in value that much... if at all. only saving grace is its not a dpos..thanks for that.
you want a real world token with real world use...use real world rates of interest...not some gimmicky 30%
also not understanding switch of algo....both take specialized asics ...and at this point id think more people have scrypt miners than x11's...so mining scrypt seem more spread out. would think only a few people invested in x11 machines. just look at MRR maybe 130 x11 rigs for rent....while there are 450 scrypt miners for rent.
i liked this project..but with changes now i am some what skeptical
X11 runs cooler and is more efficient. Bitmain are shipping their new asic x11's in September, both rounds of sales have sold out with in hours. The demand to mine X11 coins is going to go up dramatically as miners look for coins to run their new machines on. Why will demand grow? They sell the coins and no buy them .. Unless projects are a total scam, the demand will simply grow because the entire altcoin industry does. More people join crypto everyday. Besides that fact people will also become more interested when there actually is a product you can see and use. x11 running cooler or more efficient is only relative to difficulty. and given that POW is scheduled to phase is that really a concern? bitmain is also shipping more srypt miners now and in future...as they keep selling those too. so really there are and will be for forseable future (till pow runs out) more scrypt miners than x11.

Can we still stake the coins with Raspberry Pi in the new wallet? If so, is there still an updated guide how to do it?
new wallet hasn't bee released yet. so no updated guide. old guide (pinned in slack and somewhere in this forum) is therefore still good. as a matter of fact I'm staking on a pi right now not too sure if there will be raspberry pi compatible version of new wallet when it is released. :-(

first time exposure to this project, like the concept but up until this point its just another kid with a dream
pow/pos will be nice though. will there be masternodes?
supposedly no masternodes

UPDATE
Coin Swap
To ensure a smooth transition to new $EQT chain coin swap date has been extended to 25th August 4 PM UTC . Many investors who still have not withdrawn $EQT from Cryptopia or still have $EQT on supernova or Qt-Wallet please withdraw $EQT to Coinexchange by 25th August . For manual swaps investors need to have their $EQT in their wallet to prove ownership of coins .
when does mining stop on scrypt and move to x11? is there a block ...a time and date. did I miss it?

when is algo switch happening?

Are you guys getting close and will you let all this excitement deter you in any way?
I guess you haven't noticed that the devs haven't bothered to post here in over a week. I so regret buying this coin. It started going down well before the market bloodbath. I bought because the new release was supposed to be imminent, instead we got twitter posts about community managers. Maybe one of those community managers would like to buy my bag? LMFAO I am sure they would. They have never made any bones about taking as much time as needed to get it right. perc...sorry things aren't working out exactly as planned...not a community manager but might want to add to my bags...dm me or post here...how much you got and how much you want for it. myself or somone else might be very happy to take your load and carry that weight
