Morning,

I decided to give this a try since I'm new to the whole bitcoin / altcoin scene. This is the error I am getting when I try to compile, and I didnt see a Makefile.Release...

Code:
[build]     qtxlsxwriter         i686-w64-mingw32.static
[done]      qtxlsxwriter         i686-w64-mingw32.static                                    156204 KiB     0m57.310s
[no-build]  qt5                  i686-w64-mingw32.static
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
./compile-blk.sh: line 6: i686-w64-mingw32.static-qmake-qt5: command not found
make: Makefile.Release: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `Makefile.Release'.  Stop.

Which step am I missing?

I am compiling this using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x86_64

I have a couple of projects that's been work in progress for some time. I need someone to go over them, remove the initial seed nodes, and maybe some other items depending on cost.

I know, then I don't have the satisfaction of creating it myself. Is there any guides of sorts out there that say 'start here dummy' ?

Hello,

I hope this is in the right area.

Where all do I need to update the code to make a CPU only altcoin?

Thanks!

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / cant remember the crypto.... on: April 07, 2015, 10:57:58 PM
Hi all,

I know this is a longshot, I thought I'd give it a try anyways...
There is this crypto algo community that offered a walkthrough on how to create their type of coin. They listed out all the steps, and that the coin had to be submitted for review by the founders. If the founders were satisfied then the coin was recognized in that community.

Any assistance is appreciated.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Create your own altcoin | Fully Automated Delivery | WalletBuilders on: March 20, 2015, 02:17:18 AM
How much is it really to create a coin? In the details of what is offered it says 0.15 BTC. When filling out the form for paid coin creation it is listed at 0.25 BTC....
16  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Small job! on: November 30, 2014, 05:18:32 PM
hello,

I have a 'small job' I think that you could assist with. I have been trying to finish compiling my altcoin and something always never finishes. I would need to have a daemon for Linux and to serve as the initial seed node. Right now the coin is a scrypt coin, though if sha256 is easier based off the latest bitcoin then im flexible with that too.

I can also grant view only and chat via text and complete or simply send what I have in a rar file.

Thanks,

john

Hi all,

I am rather new to all of the altcoin industry. However, I am looking for some help to finish building my coin. It seems as though I fix one item and something else breaks or doesn't compile. I don't have much BTC, would be glad to give some upon a successful build. I have been using https://howtocloneanaltcoin.com/index.php and whether it is 64bit or 32 one thing always seems to not compile.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks,

John

Hi all,

Just a question, and wondering what the general consensus may be.

With all the bugs, viruses, Trojans, and other scripts that can do all sorts of things to us... The thought crossed my mind if it is feasible to have people use a vm that is 'clean' and mine the coin from within the clean environment ? (provided that the binaries are clean too)

Maybe even have a process that tells you to pick the coin you want, it sets up the vm, downloads and installs it. After it is complete then setup your details and begin mining from command line?

Like I said, just a couple of ideas and a what if...

Anyways, Y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I will most likely fork bitcoin or another sha-256 altcoin. This version of the wallet that's mentioned in the tutorial, does it all emails, irc and other functions?
