It seems to be a fan site not a new team but at least its something!
I have been mining this coin for quiet a few weeks now all you need is a few thousand coins and your wallet always open
and you periodically receive coins the algo has auto shifted to favour pos over pow at the moment.
If anyone wants some free coins to play around with msg me you CATc address and I'll send you some.

I reading your posts and all seems dead... Do you really want to restart the project ?
I could help for exemple by building a pool to mine maxcoin. Would you be interested ?
It could be ready quickly with lot of functionnalities and low fees... but need miners interested for that. I could offer functions like payouts history showing directly unpaid and total paid balance... Fast payments, etc...
Will be back soon to see if there is an activity...

I'm just unsure of the commands I need to put into the console or config file and what port I need to allow through my firewall for port forwarding is it 33391?
The default port is indeed 33391, so you should open it in firewall. You actually can look at the ports your daemon is opening, using "netstat -apn | grep catalonia" command. I suppose you would need: in the cataloniacoin.conf file. Thanks Drays I'm pretty sure my wallet is now running as a node 81.107.12.4 I've managed to test it externally today and it synced up fine at work. The next issue is mining and getting the wallet and blocks to constantly advance and keep up to date. I think its possible to solo mine with this wallet but again I haven't got a clue what code I need to put into the config file to set it of mining? There is supposed to be 2.3806 coins per block every 2mins. If you have any ideas how I could solo mine it would be much appreciated thanks. |

Got my wallet now running as a node put addnode=81.107.12.4 into your cataloniacoin.conf file found in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Cataloniacoin if the file isn't there just create a .txt file add the line addnode=81.107.12.4 then save the file as cataloniacoin.conf and you wallet should start to sync up. |

My wallet is stuck with last block 339266, 3 days ago. Does anyone know how to get it to catch up or how I could seed my wallet as a node?
You would need a real public IP address to serve as a node... Do you have it? As far as I know, you cannot seed your address, but if your node runs stable for a long time, its address will be picked up by other clients (and stay in their cache). Do you have any peers now? I have a static IP that very rarely changes and a server I can permanently run the wallet on as a node. There seems to be someone who comes online periodically and the wallet syncs up then they go offline and the blocks just get stuck. Yes indeed the Catalan people really want independence but they don't seem to understand they need first
and decentralised independent currency.
Corruption and collusion with politicians and the powers that be will always be working against
the peoples interests and mostly all bought and owned by the ECB with their printer.
I thought the people of Catalonia would have been all over this coin, I hope in time they will
and just haven't fully understood crypto yet, CatC has great potential if it can get into
the hands of the people!

Add this line into your cataloniacoin.conf file (it should be located in the same folder where the wallet.dat is located): Then restart the wallet. If you didn't have cataloniacoin.conf before, you have to create it. If you use Windows, and make sure it is exactly called cataloniacoin.conf (you may have to uncheck the "hide known file extensions" checkbox in Windows Explorer settings). This should resolve the problem... Let me know if it doesn't. Thank you very much I created the cataloniacoin.conf file in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Cataloniacoin\ added the line addnode=104.207.131.249 and it works my great wallet is now syncing again!!! |

People will still be waiting for startjoin.com to come back online 5 years from now but Max and Karl are long gone with your BTC.
Its impossible to crowd fund with the volatility of crypto and any attempt at a centralisation around it ie startjoin.com is doomed to fail.

This coin is active? I thought that this coin would've crashed and the investors would've walked away from it without a takeover. Max isn't hyping the coin as much (I just skimmed his Twitter account and he doesn't have much information on START as much as he use to). Is there a new guy as the StartCoin CEO? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/startcoin/CoinMarketCap shows a pretty brutal one year chart and it shows that everyone that purchased the coin during march of 2016 has lost money on it. After nearly 3 years does anyone really think start is going to pull out if this nose dive and all of a sudden become valuable? Max & Karl are bullshitters to the core they add 0. If something is a good idea you don't need to keep being told its a good idea it just is! |

its a farce he has a premined code and a joomla template website that no one uses and never changes!
All sold with trendy buzz words like 'fintech' and 'paradigm shift'
I think history will show all startcoin ever was, was a clever marketing campaign (SCAM) to obtain
the original and genuine article Bitcoin.
The whole idea of crowd funding with any coin is flawed anyway, changes in price so wildly could make your
'fully funded' project underfunded overnight. I'm surprised they haven't come up with a startjoin rubber band tape measure
to sell you or some startjoin glass nails and rubber hammer.
The original startjoin was a disaster and IS a tried and tested failure, betting on v2 is just doubling down on ridiculousness.
Its been 3 years almost and all people want is the price to go up so they can dump it, wow paradigm shift!
But somehow the points which I'm stating here and that are a so obvious I guess make me a fudder, its insane!
