I've been reading and writing alot over the past week.

Keeping a list of hardware, software, passwords, connections, however; even though I know how to build a PC and have installed a windows OS the learning curve still appears rather steep especially now that linux is involved ( ready to jump in the deep end).

Though a 16 year old would be better at this than myself is there a good thread that kinda puts everything together in regards to the above mentioned items for getting a mining rig together. A todo list of sorts/tutorials

Thanks in advance

It's ez to lol

A blonde, wanting to earn some Bitcoins, decided to hire herself out as a handyman-type and started canvassing a wealthy neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any jobs for her to do.

"Well, you can paint my porch. How much will you charge?"
The blonde said, "How about 50 Bitcoins?" The man agreed and told her that the paint and ladders that she might need were in the garage. The man's wife, inside the house, heard the conversation and said to her husband, "Does she realize that the porch goes all the way around the house?"
The man replied, "She should. She was standing on the porch."

A short time later, the blonde came to the door to collect her money.

"You're finished already?" he asked. "Yes," the blonde answered, "and I had
paint left over, so I gave it two coats."

Impressed, the man reached in his
pocket for the 50 BTC's. "And by the way," the blonde added, "that's not a Porch,
it's a Ferrari."

"Bitcoins are the world's first peer to peer, distributed electronic currency. This means that they can be sent directly from person to person over the internet, without needing anyone's help or permission. They are free to send, receive, or to store, and they can be as public or anonymous as you want them to be...."

Exactly as the bible verifies itself by it's self, I'm not a spammer because I said so.

This all.

I hope this BTC thing works out in the end. I like the idea of no central banks

I also went to bitcoin faucet and signed up. So far nothing has arrived. How long does it take to get all the blocks downloaded normally?

Good grief,

I've spend time this morning reading up on bitcoins. I like it, however; lets say I wanted to start an online business that receives bitcoins almost exclusively. According to to some here it would be a waste of time!

Reading statements like "avoid window OS, minimize online activity, use only ethernet cable, use ease of access keyboard, get a second PC" have me thinking this way

WTF!
