Thanks, sava.
Likely you are among the very few that remain & who believe in that ...

I can say at least some of us are still around from time to time, just not posting. I don't see much point in saying anything when the Devs aren't saying anything. I'm riding node to the bottom or to the top but at this point I can't pretend that I am hopeful.

I cannot send a transaction. When I try to send a transaction I get the "Are you sure" screen then I click send and nothing happens. The screen just sits there. I have tried with two different addresses. I saw that there hasn't been a transaction since 9am. Is anyone else having trouble?

So this confuses me. If the "the main is the processing center" then what is the point of node? I mean I get it's a crypto that could represent stock in the network (although if you incorporate that becomes a convoluted idea) but if in a dispute between the processing center and the chain the processing center wins then what is the point of the chain? It seems to me that you are just setting up a bank that has it's own crypto associated. It also seems to me that NodeCoin and NodePay could be independent of each other. If that is true than all you have made is a coin with a new kind of mining algorithm. That's cool and all but it's not ground breaking and NodePay is not trustless or secure. If that is the case it raises the questions to me of how can you afford to keep the fees so low on FIAT transfers and if you can't why would anyone use you over their existing bank?

Please help me understand, I love NODE so far and I don't want to FUD but this concerns me.

NodeCoin be independent. Euro and dollar transactions will be processed in the "processing center" and the client displays the balance. between customers NODE you can transfer eur & usd within the network with a small commission.

Our old scheme does not work, it is not legally correct

It will be interesting to see how this develops but I think you have just invented online banking.

Hope I'm wrong,

@update

So I decided to share with You our future plans for the Node on the Integration of the Euro and the Dollar
We and our lawyers have long thought about the technical and legal integration of the dollar and the Euro, our plans were in the beginning has changed.

We looked at a lot of payment systems with which we can interact. In the end, it was decided to create a processing center which will take responsibility for processing payments, SWIFT, SEPA and VISA. This center will be connected to the client Node. Each new transaction in EUR and USD (incoming and outgoing payment) will be duplicated records in the blockchain from the processing center, but the main is the processing center. From the client Node will be possible to make direct payments SWIFT, SEPA and VISA. To use these services you will need from your side registration and passport data in the system NdoeBank. Each registered user will receive their own account. More detailed technical and legal information will be published later. In terms of the technical implementation of the project may take from 9 to 12 months.

The processing center is a system which works directly with one of the banks offering their services on the implementation of money transfers

So this confuses me. If the "the main is the processing center" then what is the point of node? I mean I get it's a crypto that could represent stock in the network (although if you incorporate that becomes a convoluted idea) but if in a dispute between the processing center and the chain the processing center wins then what is the point of the chain? I dont really see any social media news about node on Alcurex.

#nodecoin last twitter was on december.

Perhaps people are not aware of node being back on trade.

No publicity from NODE coin team, thats bad.

You are wrong. Everyone needs to be involved. Spread the word. it's not that hard really  : )

Hello all NODE supporters.

I want to welcome all of you to AlcurEX.
As you may know alcurEX is currently tiny exchange.
But I have to say we have clean and honest history and big plans for the future.

On this weekend I will open physical Gold Coin market.
If NODE will be on top place as I expect, I will build NODE/GOLD pair on future.

Any way, NODE will be in local market where people can buy and sell cryptos directly via personal bank and PayPal transactions.

Hope you will see alcurEX for good place to trade and hold NODES.

About our security.
NODE have own cold storage wallet (different than Bter).
Cold storage password are not stored in any server.
Only I know it, or if I die only my testament will open it to my trusted person.
So, you will never see same situation in alcurEX that you just got on Bter. (Feel sorry about it.)

About can you trust me? In Finland we have free regulation rules with crypto coins, but bonzi and scam companies will not live long in Finland because this is small country.
I have clean records and currently I own two active companies and plan to jump in politic in Finland.
I'm in cryptos because liberal and free property is close in my heard.
(Law is made for serve people, not opposite)

That is my welcome text after one bottle of bithday wine  Cheesy

Warmly welcome and happy trading on alcurEX: halibit aka Tero Halinen ALCUREX OY/ltd CEO

Thanks for the support.

Someone stole all my node with a reasonably secure password on a computer with good antivirus software that scans daily. None of my other accounts were compromised (most of which were worth significantly more than my node wallet) so I doubt the issue was from my end.

Only had about 10 USD worth of node at current prices, but still pretty upsetting that it got stolen. Posting here so other people can watch out in case it isn't an isolated incident.  Wallet it got sent to is 8484251769134092323

and I was definitely not the only one, and some people lost significantly more.  Here's the transactions for this wallet, but there could be other ones. http://nodemoney.com:19775/#/explorer/transaction/8484251769134092323

Did you ever sign in from the online wallet?

Finally got the client downloading blocks again  Grin. What is the current block height?
Never mind looked it up on the online wallet.

Guys, this is classic pump and dump behavior.  I've seen this happen more times than I can count.  He is likely buying, but my hunch is he'a letting those who are getting emotional and excited push up the price.

If you have a sizable war chest, it doesn't take much to instigate a panic buy.  I'm not downing on NODE but I have never seen this type of behavior and it not be a pump.

But, no worries.  Sell a percent of your stake and patiently wait for the dump.  You can profit from the manipulators too.

I'm just going to ignore him. He hasn't pumped the price enough to change my life. When the price starts getting high enough that I will kick my self later if I don't sell then I'll start rationing off some. The way I see it if this whole thing crashes tomorrow the money I spent on it has been out of my accounts long enough that I won't even miss it. Best wishes and good luck to those trying to make a buck on this, especially those who have been with us for a while. You deserve to finally get paid for your patience.

What is the latest version of the NODE client. I have not logged on in a while (my internet is not stable enough to forge and have not felt motivated enough to setup a server) and when I tried to check my account today I could not get 0.9.1b to work so I downloaded 9.4.1b from the website and it won't work either. I have deleted the databases then started them and they say they are downloading transactions but they just sit there for over an hour and the database files don't get any bigger. Any thoughts?

Online wallet is down (www.nodemoney.com). Is this due to an update? An SSL maybe?  Roll Eyes
http://nodemoney.com:19775/ correct one
Ahh I see... So instead of an SSL we have a broken link to the online wallet on the main page www.nodecoin.comUndecided

I press on the link with www and its working for me.
It seems to be fixed for me too. I guess either something was screwy on my end or they were doing some kind of maintenance.

Some guys tried to do this before and some newcomers come from time to time. They know all about it, and I think we could use them as experts in the NODENET security issue, but unfortunately they never leave contacts  Smiley

I'm not completely clear on what you are saying. Are you saying they tried and failed or tried and succeeded? also do you just know from the network logs or did they contact you and tell you?

But in a pulsing network where nodes come and go in a high number
Lets talk facts, not fantasies.   Cool
What is the number of nodes now?  Wink
How it will be possible to grow this number to your "pulsing high number"? Huh btw, what number is it?  Roll Eyes
1 main node would be enough to run a network with 10,000 clients.
And all they will stuck if something wrong happens with that 1?  Grin

What I'm about to say has a lot of speculation so take it with a grain of salt.

My understanding of how it works is it's like a cue. People who join the network become leading nodes. When the maximum amount of leading nodes are present, new nodes attach to the leading nodes forming an "outer network" as leading nodes drop off the outer network fills their spot. This would also explain some of how the PoA works. The reason your time online is important is to determine if you are a leading node or on the outer network. I would then also assume when a leading node forges it moves to the outer network. If this is the case it would make transaction gaming even harder since you would have to forge a block then wait till you were a leading node again to start gaming, the whole time loosing transaction fees. Again this is what I have interpreted and extrapolated from what has been said but there is a lot of speculation in this. Either way it has been stated that outer nodes can and do take over for leading nodes and I can see no reason why the network would allow itself to have 1 leading node and 10,000 outer node if the outer nodes could simply become leading nodes.

Oh, so to put down the whole network one should simply ddos only main nodes? Shocked

No, How can You imagine this
Any Linux client can be main peers,
for the operation of network 100% us enough 1 main peer, and they can be 10,1000,10000 ..... main peers
we also wrote 10 000 connection, actually on technology node.js withstands over 100 000 connection

So who are "NODE Peers"?

John,
any active member in Node network will be able to use a client as a main node and as a secondary node.
In the brain neurons are completely interchangeable within its area.
Perhaps a more accurate name for the main node would be "leading node" or "proactive node".

Makes perfect sense.

Thanks,
