1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: So miners, are you selling your mined btc as soon as you get them? on: January 27, 2015, 01:12:54 AM
At the end of last year, I've decided to give home mining a chance for a year. Currently have 2.5Th and on 01/01/16 will decide whether to carry on, depending on whether I've mined enough over the year to cover my electric.. So I'm keeping all BTC mined.

Hello legendary miners!

I'll be moving my small home-farm /9 antminers s3/ to a new location. And was wondering do I need to care what the new place' subnet is if all of my miners are set to DHCP protocol? In other words since they are all DHCP will they just start working when I plug 'em to the other place's lan?

Cheers!

Hi everyone,

What are the pros/cons on splitting between Slush and another pool, or all on Slush?
Ian

Been with slushi for ages, however my two previous posts sum up the worst aspects of the slush payout system :/

For some reason, I decided to update the firmware

if it's not broken - don't fix it!

Now that you have however, I'd suggest you try all FW updates /from the bitmain site/ until you find one that works for your unit.
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Large number discarded, no temp reading on second blade on S3 on: November 20, 2014, 08:53:12 PM
Hello fellow miners!

My first week of ASIC mining has passed and just wanted to consult with somebody more experienced with the Antminer S3. Please take a look at the stats below, should I be worried about the amount of discarded shares /8x-10x more than the accepted/? And also I'm not getting any temp reading on second blade, nevertheless been quite happy with hash rate /full stock/. All in all do you see any signs of trouble with the below readings?
All inputs from S3 owners will be much appreciated!

Cheers!
