1  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: June 17, 2016, 03:04:59 PM
Someone probably brought this up before but i couldn't find it.

So i was wondering how you can determine the actual house edge just by looking at the code.
Specifically this part of the code:

// This will be the client seed of block 339300
var clientSeed = '000000000000000007a9a31ff7f07463d91af6b5454241d5faf282e5e0fe1b3a';

exports.crashPointFromHash = function(serverSeed) {
    var hash = crypto.createHmac('sha256', serverSeed).update(clientSeed).digest('hex');

    // In 1 of 101 games the game crashes instantly.
    if (divisible(hash, 51))
        return 0;

    // Use the most significant 52-bit from the hash to calculate the crash point
   console.log('hash: '+hash);
   var slice   =   hash.slice(0,52/4);
   console.log(typeof hash);
   console.log('slice: '+slice);
   var h = parseInt(slice,16);
   console.log('h: '+h);
    var e = Math.pow(2,52);

    return Math.floor(((100 * e) - h) / (e - h));
};
----------
I'd really appreciate if someone could elaborate on how this code is used to alter the house edge other than the insta crash function obviously.
The method of converting a game hash to a money pot multiplier is quite complex and i just don't know how i would go about calculating the house edge for a certain multiplier.
Edit: I know it's possible to use odd calculator on bustabit but i'd still like to know what it does Tongue

2  Economy / Gambling / How come hardly anyone plays on luckyb.it? on: June 01, 2016, 11:53:36 PM
I realised luckyb.it has a lot less user than it used to.
Does any1 know why it has a lot less active players these days.
The game is unique and  i always felt like it's entertaining to watch others bet as there are hardly any "community games" left.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's the fastest dice website? on: July 29, 2015, 12:59:01 PM
Do you mind explaining why you are looking for a super fast dice site?
Just to spam 1 satoshi bets? Smiley
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: provably fair is new industry standard? on: July 12, 2015, 04:42:51 PM
Im confident provably fair will be that standard among pretty much all online casinos.

What is really going to be interesting to is to see when big casino game software sellers like softwiss come up with their own solutions and what they are gonna look like.
It might just be something wehave not yet seen before in this form.
5  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ Monodice.com ➫ ➬ | High-Low BTC Dice Game | Test run and Free Money 1BTC on: June 26, 2015, 10:27:27 PM
They just wanted to get free beta testers so they put some "free money" text in the title  Roll Eyes

i dont't think this is the best way to test your site...

Well the main idea was probably to attract a few testers but calling the "play money" bitcoins is misleading and makes no sense.
I also do wonder why any1 would leave a donation address on a site up for testing purposes.
6  Economy / Gambling / Re: PocketRocketsCasino.eu - Player betting >750 Bitcoin per roll and winning now! on: June 18, 2015, 03:15:41 PM
I seems to be losing track for this, How many bitcoins is his net profit right now? At this rate, the investor may be pulling alot out or that they will be busted by this guy. This guy make us remind the old days where bitcoin is still considered to be worthless and people are betting with alot of it at one time

Well it reminds me of Just-Dice in the good old days to be honest. The whole bitcoin gambling community is following the bettors every move. Let's hope for the sake of all the investors that PRC-Dice doesn't settle at 0.3% profit like JD did  Wink
7  Economy / Gambling / Re: CrimeDice.com - Now 15k Faucet / 60 sec ! on: June 07, 2015, 03:34:08 PM
You might wanna get a better server.
It's hard to trust a laggy site. At first i thought it wouldn't even load at all for me.
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recent dadice.com development on: May 21, 2015, 09:08:29 PM
Here's my input on this from a gamblers point of view. If I'm gambling on a site, I do prefer to be able to see if they can cover the bet I am placing.

Good point.

One thing I've been wondering... now that this is out in the open, will they start losing members and get "hacked" sooner then expected?  Cheesy I'm not talking about those "fan boy" or whatever you want to call them type of members either. They'll be there to the end no matter what.

No doubt, they will have a reduced number of members as compared to earlier.
Judging from their actions they should have seen this coming. Running a business based on trust can only be done by playing with open cards.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Start a Gambling Site on: April 24, 2015, 07:28:27 PM
The bitcoin gambling world is really saturated, but is possible.
I like more a gambling with nice promo, giveaway ecc, where is possible bet in bitcoin and more other altcoin (like just-dice with clam)

I have to disagree.

Promotions and giveaway will only help a site short term. In order to actually make it these days you need a site with a lot of features, no downtime, a great customer support and an ínnovativ idea.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best bitcoin casino? on: April 08, 2015, 05:41:16 PM
There is too many out there already. Go test some of the major ones out there and make up your opinion.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin Through Paypal on: March 03, 2015, 09:44:05 AM
You should be fine as long as you use a trusted seller on localbitcoins. Well if you don't mind overpaying by 10%  Undecided

Where did you get the bitdice script from  Shocked?

War - wie so oft - ein Hot Wallet mit Auto-Top Up (also known as Leaking Cold Storage™), vergleiche: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2vz1zq/its_now_officialbtercom_was_hackedlost_7170_btc/com6yip.

15  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest Hurdle To Currency Adoption on: January 25, 2015, 02:23:58 PM
in the fiat world it is even worse. Now with bitcoin prices low at least we can buy some cheap

Richest 1% to own more than rest of world, Oxfam says

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-30875633
So even though the early adopters had a considerable advantage it's by no means a hurdle that can't be overcome. But only time will tell.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are killing bitcoin on: January 14, 2015, 11:10:49 AM
Well CEX.io has already suspended their cloud mining services because of the current drop in price.

Miners are also facing a tough time.
17  Local / Presse / Re: ARD Bitcoin-Szene wieder im Krisen-Modus on: January 14, 2015, 11:05:40 AM

19  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: After ASIC what comes next? on: January 14, 2015, 10:56:03 AM
It's time for new super efficient ASICs to hit the market with btc prices being so low.
20  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I want an android alarm clock app that also shows the Bitcoin price on: January 11, 2015, 05:55:56 PM
The app should sound the alarm if the price moves too much within a small span of time. I always thought it'd be fun to have an alarm clock play you a little story when you woke up, woven from little off-key ad lib type snippets.

Maybe...
Be like Jim Chesterfield. Jim woke up at 7am three days ago with a bad hangover. Jim went to the supermarket where he was assaulted by a large, pale woman wearing only sweatpants and a bra. Jim felt mildly discomforted and retreated to the YMCA where he donated money to unappreciative millennials. Jim then went to work where he was killed after accidentally discharging from his reproductive system onto his boss. The price of Bitcoin is currently server refused connection.

[Stay in bed]               [Face the day]

ETA: I'm bored. I'll see if I can throw you something together within the next few hours using MS Paint and AJAX. ETA2: Oh, missed Reynaldo's post.
Sounds like a good idea to me. I have been looking for decent alarm apps on the store myself and have yet to find one.
