1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum best for investment? on: July 06, 2017, 12:46:18 PM
Is ETH going to fix its issues? One big ICO taking it down? ETH was good (now seems excellent) when I bought at $10-$11, now it is for the birds.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First to reach 1 Trillion $ on: May 30, 2017, 08:09:00 PM
honestly i believe that it will be an alt coin that surpasses bitcoin that reaches 1 trillion first, Ethereum maybe?

It is completely possible but I don't think this will be happening on a timeframe that you are expecting.
Ethereum has more chances than any other altcoin to reach such a great capitalization but I think bitcoin still has more chances. If we stick to current amount of btc and eth respectively, for btc to reach 1 trillion the price has to be a bit more than $60 000 per coin. For ethereum the price should be  $11 000 per coin which seems more realistic although both options are crazy. That's why I'd rather say ripple has best chances, for it just needs the price of $26 per coin.

I agree with you for that point, when cryptocurrency will become mainstream, imagine average Joe that would like to invest. If he has no clue what is Ethereum or Ripple (but have heard about Bitcoin, but it too expensive) he may be tempted to buy the cheaper price.

That is why I think the perfect alt for the future isn't released yet.

Nothing says that someone has to purchase a whole Bitcoin. I would say it will be either Bitcoin gets to a Trillion first or it will be an ALT coin (not ETH)... I prefer the ALT coin case because one will be released with real world utility. I think that it is already out there, but people don't know about it because it is 1) not pumped and 2) just finishing up essentially what is a beta period.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing? on: May 30, 2017, 04:02:03 PM
Something that has actually real world utility and B2B.

It already is coming IMO, but like anything in Crypto Currency it will surprise most people because with a good well funded team with the great idea, the next great thing will actually work with business as a business to be scalable, secure, low cost, be usable and integrated with business processes.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs in this year less rewarding than the ones held in the last year? on: May 30, 2017, 03:22:34 AM
Don't know what ICOs you're talking about here--and apparently no one else does, either.  But it doesn't matter; they are all shit.  Props to you if you actually found suckers willing to pay a price higher than what you bought them at, but you know damn well that they're destined to be giveaways on Yobit in a couple of years when everyone realizes that no one wants them.  Their blockchains won't even exist.

Aren't you guys tired of all these new shits?  Or are you actually making money?  All of this is basically just straight up gambling.  It's not like you're investing in IPO stocks that actually have a business underlying their securities.  Crypto would have to go viral for most of these coins to have any future.  Could happen, but I highly doubt it.

Agree with you. Cannot believe people are valuing something like METAL in the top 50 market cap of coins when it isn't even used or released (unless I am missing something). You stick key words in your advertising such as 'Visa' and all of a sudden it is worth a fortune. Most crypto has little real world use. The day will come when there is real business use on one of these things and it will make the owners rich.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Altcoin to invest in? on: May 19, 2017, 01:01:59 AM
My opinion better ETH , Dogecoin and Dashcoin, the price is stable.

Dogecoin? Really? What would this actually be used for?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Altcoin to invest in? on: May 19, 2017, 01:00:12 AM
Easy one, WBB which is soon to be rebranded DLS. They don't pump, they don't hype, they develop with their own money, limited supply, real world uses (not BS like many coins).
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $WBB - Wild Beast Bitcoin alt coin ~ huge news *1st in crypto* on: May 17, 2017, 12:39:01 PM
I think soon.

Damn great week for WBB! Love the new information out.

There is new information out?

Yes. Certainly will be new to many of the detractors in this thread.  Grin

I see.  So the information is out, but it must be all on slack?  I haven't seen anything around these threads and I'm not slacking.

Yes, on Slack. Wished you would join up.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: April 02, 2017, 08:55:59 PM
By the end of 2016, there were around 4200 Bitcoin-accepting merchants and storefronts in Japan, near quadrupling the total from 2015. Now, with the current progress in Bitcoin regulation made by Japanese authorities, the number of merchants accepting Bitcoin is expected to quintuple to 20000 this year. Indeed, good times for Bitcoin adoption are coming.

Then without a fork BTC will take longer and longer to settle a transaction?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HUUUGE CRASH COMING on: March 18, 2017, 08:42:19 PM
Do you think that fiat is safer with current inflation rates and unpredictable financial system that can crash any time?

Honestly ?  Yes.   Crypto has much higher inflation rates (if you count all new alt coins) ; politics will not let the financial system crash - they will steal people of all their assets (including bitcoin) before they allow that to happen.  Suppose that the financial system crashes.  What are you going to do with your bitcoin in the supermarket ?  Blocs are full.  Your transactions will need weeks to get through if you think that bitcoin is going to be a hedge.  By the time everything is back to normal (7 years later or so), you starved to death with your private keys on your USB stick.
What you need in those times are simple goods.  They cannot be obtained against bitcoin, ethereum or dash.  The guy selling food doesn't know these things exist, and if he would those systems would be entirely saturated.

I don't agree with you. Why do you need to buy goods with crypto if you can do this with cash? Crypto aren't designed for everyday buy and sell operations primarily. For that purposes we are spending fiat. But the problem with fiat is if you try to save it for the future generations. For example, my parents worked about 45 years and what they saved now are worth a few thousand EUR. That is weird and that is because they saved in fiat and inflation ate almost everything. Ok, if you don't like crypto, go with precious metals, artworks etc. But I like crypto and I think it is a start of huge transformation of financial system and in humanity itself.

p.s. about inflation rates of fiat and crypto. Just looks at some charts of statistics and you will be surprised.

I like crypto as well. I am one of those who think we are in the Wild West of crypto still. Am I in the minority when it comes to thinking that Bitcoin will eventually lose dominance at the least and at worst it will go to the museum like an antique in a few years.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Wild Beast Block [WBB] on 1ex.trade, no PREMINE, Honest ! - the wild one on: January 31, 2017, 08:50:21 PM

Very possible, all it takes is for few big big players to get word and (new name) will probably go parabolic 😂

Sorry but this will be the first altcoin with actual business adoption when all things come into play. I think everybody would want to hop on the rocket when the info is released.

Have the Developers elaborated on when we can see this released into the real world? Who will be first to adopt this? Seems strange to me that anyone would go to the cost of adopting anything that is unproven.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH = Game Over on: July 02, 2016, 12:16:54 PM
Vitalik seen on twitter posting funny videos and engaging in meaningless converstation. Being invested in eth must feel really good.

He is making bank and is young!

I am not sure why people bash on Eth, the Winklevoss brothers are invested, it must be great!!!

Ha! I am kidding! I sold all my Eth, but keeping my Bitcoin.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the future of crypto, bitcoin is not. on: June 12, 2016, 01:47:16 AM
I noticed there are about 31,000 new ethereum generated every day, or 11 million each year, that is lower than the proposed 18 million every year.

The distribution is pure SCAM, but who cares while the price was/is going up everyone is happy!
But be sure ppl are not stupid as soon the dump start it will be magnificent to watch and eat popcorn  Grin

You see what I see here regarding ETH in some stocks. If people put a lot of money down, then part of that "investment" is used to pay pumpers or bashers, depending which side is causing the manipulation. In the case of ETH they made many, many millions this year alone, so they pay pumpers and then use some of their gain to create the DAO. The hype around the DAO causes the price to go up more and brings in more "investors".

It will be interesting to see how this ends. I am not one of the tech folks here, but it does seem as if something like Ethereum could be a good concept if done well. Correct?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: June 05, 2016, 07:58:00 PM
The Ethereum is under active development. It also has good support from the community. So it is good.

Full disclosure, I buy ETH and will continue to do so, but not with any money that I need. It is a gamble of course, no one knows what the future holds. I buy because it intrigues me.

That being said, there was an article from The Wall Street Journal, Aug 5, 2014
BitBeat: Ethereum Presale Hits $12.7 Million Tally
To quote Joseph Lubin: "Mr. Lubin said third parties are currently building "hundreds" of prospective applications on top of the Ethereum platform."

That was nearly two years ago. There must be a bunch of applications out now with that many under development.   Roll Eyes

P.S.- My account says Newbie, which I will always be since I do not post much because of the pile of insulting users here, some of the dumbest smart people I know are on this forum. I have been here for nearly a couple of years. Grin
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Rumored to Be Developing Bitcoin Alternative on: March 14, 2015, 10:35:43 PM
If Google did their own ALT Coin the I might be worried. Google wants to dominate as much as possible so wouldn't it be logical that they would try?

BitCoin is making inroads, it isn't far from becoming the Kleenex, jello name of cryptocurrency, if you get my meaning. I just don't see how an IBM would succeed, BitCoin likely has too much of a head start for anyone to catch up.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy.com AKA Project Investors Inc on: December 07, 2014, 06:02:52 AM
USPS sucks, everyone knows that.  If it was that important to you, you should have mailed it certified with return receipt.  Are you attempting to blame Cryptsy?  If so, get your own shit straight first.

I did keep the receipt Hollow sir.  Kiss

I did get tracking, no return receipt. Yes, Cryptsy is partially to blame here if not completely (depending which side you take). What the F will Certified Mail do? Make them sign for it? Big deal, it is $300 not a million, if they are not going to handle things carefully, they are not going to handle things carefully. You folks might be able to design crypto currencies but can't deal with the way things need to work for full adoption, I mean customer service as in easy of use and trust (the exchange that is). Right now this whole "world" has alternative currencies by the heaps running amok, no exchange that people completely trust. Right? Is there there an exchange that people trust? Let me know. How exactly is that going to work? Get my shit together? How about this community do it first.

This world of crypto currency reminds me of stories of the first stock and commodities exchanges in this country. How can the general population get behind these currencies when the community is fragmented? Will it take a large respected business such as PayPal to set up something?

How about a community such as this creating an exchange, a cooperative, where 100, 200,... people buy shares in it to get it going? Choose respected members to be on the board, share holders donate time to work on it... Kind of like a credit union. Start small with just BitCoin exchange then eventually have a couple of people in an office processing things, expand to accept some ALT Coin, maybe someday even a storefront like a bank that people could visit in say NYC near the stock exchanges?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Cryptsy.com AKA Project Investors Inc on: December 06, 2014, 09:48:51 PM
This post is regarding an issue of me trying to get funds deposited.

Just for the record, I mailed a bank check from Upstate NY on the 21st of November, as of yesterday Cryptsy.com customer service has no record of receiving it. This check has not been cashed.

Now I need to wait until the 21st of December to void this check, if it is not cashed.

The check was not returned to me in the mail as undeliverable and I can't remember ever having something lost in the mail.

When I asked Cryptsy customer service about the check, they have no record of it and "get a lot of checks or maybe USPS lost it.".

I am irritated so therefore I plan on just moving on. Why would I send a check out in the future if I know  that this could happen easily at any time and happened the first time I tried to make a deposit? No way.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] What anonymous coin will succed? on: November 22, 2014, 06:14:45 PM
DarkCoin is my vote. The ideas behind it are good, solid. Developer stands behind it. Fixes some problems that BitCoin has and refuses to address. What will succeed? Heck, I have no idea.  Roll Eyes
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: November 22, 2014, 03:34:20 PM
Man, this thread is huge! When I look at Dogecoin I wonder why when the market could attain its own inflation rate, why would you create additional inflation? What people charge for something changes over time separate from artificial inflation... Yes, I know that governments print money when they feel like it, but in the USA what has typically affected value of items is not money supply, it is historical value of the item you are buying plus the underlying values of the resources used to make that item.

Simplistic? Sure, but I just don't like the way that Doge is set up, flooding the world with coin.
