1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / ☼LifeCoin™ Pre-Sale Has Begun! Own your content. Earn to post & review. YawLife! on: January 25, 2022, 07:50:24 PM
After years of development, we have begun the token pre-sale for LifeCoin™! 7.8 Billion are for sale, because we believe everybody matters. On March 10, these 7.8B LifeCoins are distributed to participants.

We're building a blockchain-based metaverse social network where you own your content and can earn to post and review. Each user profile will be a living world host to NFTs like living creatures that can be bought/sold on the market and interacted with.

You can participate in the sale, watch our video, read our white paper and learn more at: https://yaw.life

YawLife & LifeCoin Put Simply:
Social media is bland, and our time on it should be valued. LifeCoin will reward users who post and review content on YawLife. YawLife will have a living environment on each profile, so artists can submit their creations to the collectibles marketplace and earn LifeCoin from NFT's with real utility (e.g. living creatures & plants that users can place in their digital world). Each world is a unique display of persona to cherish and share with others.

The Tech
YawLife is combining the blockchain technical prowess of the Ethereum platform with the visual powerhouse of the Unreal Engine (typically reserved for game development and simulations) as a cornerstone of the interface. This way, users will create their own beautiful living world... a profile that is truly alive. Your favourite plants and animals roam free. You shape your slice of life. Beyond the profile, you'll be able to post and review content (it is a social platform after all), and you can earn LifeCoin for doing so.

Unreal Engine
Rich, beautiful experiences are a necessity for the adoption of blockchain technology by the masses, and for the betterment of arts and culture. For this reason, we must move forward with a design that is, for all intents and purposes: alive. Conventional buttons are old. We need living plants and creatures and dynamic environments to host the future of computing. Unreal Engine is our choice for this purpose, for its proven versatility in the game industry in producing complex living ecosystems with lifelike lighting properties, that we believe can have further-reaching application to the software field.

We are applying gamification to the platform in a way that will be welcoming to new comers…. not just pro-gamers. While we do not consider our platform to be a game in its own right, we host game-like elements, as we feel this to be a natural progression in user interface design… A “living interface,” if you will.

Third Party Asset Support
Artists will be able to submit their own Assets, so long as they meet the standardization criteria and ownership policy. Assets created in compatible software will be accepted for listing in the collectibles marketplace. Artists who sculpt 3d models (e.g., in Autodesk Maya or 3ds Max) can submit them for sale in LifeCoin (or offer them for free), with optional rigging and animation (when relevant). In turn, users will be able to place them in their digital world to express their personality. Users could choose a “welcome animation” that displays when friends view their profile (like having their lion “Simba” roar to greet visitors). These world assets are assigned to NFTs (non-fungible tokens) on Ethereum, and can be verified by tapping on the asset to show the artist and quantity in existence. This gives credit and helps foster an environment of creative appreciation.

Ethereum
Beyond using Ethereum for the customizable world on each profile, YawLife is programming Ethereum smart contracts to power a content originality, curation, and contextual engine. Users can own their content from the "patenting system" within the network (achievable through content-watermarking with smart contracts tied to the user’s public address). Users can earn LifeCoin by distributing or selling rights to their content, earning tips when others appreciate it, or a portion of ad revenue based upon impressions and clicks.

To improve content quality on the network, enforce originality, and train machine learning algorithms, users can optionally peer-review content in their spare time in exchange for LifeCoin [our ERC20 Ethereum token]. Review accuracy is dictated by our unsellable, multivariate, fluctuating reputation token called SENSE, to ensure the best consensus possible. SENSE rewards honest participants, and punishes dishonest/malicious ones. In choosing to review content, users can earn LifeCoin for their time spent ensuring authenticity and quality, translation with contextual aspects held intact (for a more unified world), and tagging content to help teach computer vision systems (in the hopes that things like self-driving cars can become safer).

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] Introducing YawLife/LifeCoin® Whitepaper - A Peer-Reviewed Social Network on: December 04, 2017, 02:49:42 AM
Hi everyone, I would like to announce the currency LifeCoin®, its impending crowdsale in January, and our accompanying social network YawLife.

In this post, you will find access to the Draft of our Whitepaper. It is important to note that there will be aesthetic changes (both to our website and whitepaper) before the launch of the crowdsale. The reasoning for this post is to give you all a sneak peek, and gain your valuable feedback and insight into this project.

You are welcome to subscribe for updates on www.yaw.life and view + comment on our whitepaper google doc here

We also have a slack channel you can join to participate in the project’s development

We are not asking for funding at this time (that will come during the crowdsale) – there are many logistical elements from a legal standpoint which we need to address to ensure that LifeCoin® is not considered an unregistered security, and as such we have already – and will continue to – seek legal advice in this vastly evolving industry. In doing so, we aim to respect prospective investors by not preemptively rushing into a crowdsale before all aspects are covered, and everyone involved is compliant from a legal standpoint. The way we see it, it’s better to do things right, than to regret not doing so for the sake of time (a mistake many in this industry have made).

So, let’s get down to it! I wrote this white paper along with Uwe Cerron (our CTO). It details YawLife, a peer-reviewed Social Network built around rewarding content creators and reporters, who aid in eliminating fake news/plagiarism. Each user’s original creative/scientific works are watermarked on the blockchain, and the proper credit is given when due. This includes when users share each other's content. Initially, we are mostly powered by Ethereum smart contracts. We have a unique digital rights management system, where users deposit LifeCoin® into a DRM Purse to protect their post, and this rewards reporters who come to a consensus as to whether other content is/isn’t infringing. When a post is infringing, all money made off that post (and shares of it) go to the original creator. Original creators can optionally denominate a percentage of a posts’ earnings towards people who share their content (so that individuals/groups with moderate-large audiences have an incentive to share this content, as they receive a portion of the earnings made off of its views/tips/shares).

Get paid to post. Get paid to review. Be the best you. Learn more in our whitepaper! We look forward to hearing your feedback!

Thanks,
The YawLife Team
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Need Java/NXT expert for altcoin + platform on: January 05, 2015, 06:51:11 PM
I've been doing the design for a new service and a PhD graduate in information security has been helping fork NXT, and his time has been limited as of late, and with the Nxt monetary system coming out I'm changing direction to utilize that instead and focus on the important aspects: building a business around revolutionary products and changing the world.

I'm looking for someone competent in Java and Nxt to help. I am willing to pay a little bit for your efforts.

We're creating a platform and doing some revolutionary stuff. I won't divulge much info due to the amount of time I've put into this. However I will say that your involvement would start with helping launch the coin/wallet, as well as contribute towards updates of it. I would consider you for a prominent position within the company for your efforts, and by proving yourself, you'd be a part of the larger project if you so wish.

Thanks.

Thanks libivan for your wishes! Smiley We exist in a world that is interconnected, and yet we as people are still waging wars between invisible borders. Looking from space, we are one world. Our technology has started to reflect this one world ideology, but our currency and method of helping others is still on its way to the forefront. We have the capability to be so much better than today, surpassing our infancy as a species and growing to reach our potential. Just want to do my part in helping this.

Hey everyone, sorry for the late reply, I got a bit busy. Thanks for the warm welcome! Smiley

Welcome! What is the service? Good luck developing it.
Thanks! It's a desktop wallet as well as a web app. This allows for those more interested in the decentralized nature of cryptocurrrencies to use it on the desktop version, and those more interested in the cross-platform usability (typically those less versed with cryptos) can use the web app.

I'm creating a platform that should really help appeal to those who are new to cryptocurrency as well as seasoned users, since it will have a nice sleek user interface and a very easy user experience. Numerous coins will be integrated.

After seeing so much potential with cryptocurrency I wanted to make it simple. And I want to make it so that it's potential is met. At the same time of providing a valuable service, there's also going to be a coin that not only will rise in value, but support nonprofits as well. It may be irrelevant to most of you, but there's a lot of symbolism in the project, and a lot of adversity faced in bringing it to reality.

Working a full time job and working on this on the side has been the most important project I've focused on in my life. I'm motivated because I truly want to make a difference in the world because I see cryptocurrency as world-changing, and I see all these amazing things that can be done with it. I believe by starting from an ethical standpoint, we can provide value to holders and to the world, bringing about the tides of change to the incumbent days ahead.

Hey guys, so I'm not new around here. My account is, but I've been a lurker for over a year.

In the future you will see great things from this account, as I've spent the past year and a half brainstorming and designing an awesome service.

There's still development to go, but I can't wait to show you goes what I've been working on, and make this world a better place! Smiley

Look forward to a bright future.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015? on: November 23, 2014, 09:13:37 AM
I feel like there's basically no chance it'd be worth that much in 2015. I could see it going back up to $1000, maybe surpassing the value of gold or essentially staying on par with gold. But $10,000 per bitcoin just seems exorbitant in that time period.

This isn't to say we all wish it'd be worth that much... That'd be pretty awesome.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: PayPal Disputes on: November 23, 2014, 09:06:46 AM
It's really quite sad that they always side with the buyers. It makes it so you're basically guaranteed to get ripped off as a seller.

That's one of the positives of cryptocurrency's, as a seller you can hold full confidence in your buyer because it's a one-way transaction.

I still think in the future we'll see the emergence of processors that have escrow-type services with cryptocurrency, but that would have a downside where, like paypal, the buyer is always considered right.

Best to steer clear of paypal.
