5  Economy / Service Announcements / End of Year Contest on: December 26, 2014, 12:55:44 PM
Here's what we had in mind to celebrate the  New Year and get the optimism going right from January 1st.

Total prizes: 4 Th/s Bitcoin  mining power.
1st place: 1 Th/s (currently generating 0.0150 BTC/day)
2nd, 3rd place : 2x 500Gh/s (currently generating 0.0075 BTC/day)
4th - 8th  place: 5x 200Gh/s (currently generating 0.0030 BTC/day)
Consolation prize: 10x 100Gh/s (currently generating 0.0015 BTC/day)

How it works:
In the lower-right corner of your Cryptomine dashboard there are the current quotes of  6 popular bitcoin exchanges.
To participate, you have to try and guess the exact average(4 decimals) of the prices that these exchanges will show on Thursday, Jan. 1st at 0:00. GMT.
The average and the exact time will also be displayed on your dashboard on Monday, as shown in this screenshot:

Rules:
1. To participate, you must be a bitcointalk.com member with a minimum post count of 10.
2. You must also have an account with us. (Sign up here - cryptomine.io/authzone/signup.php)
3. Whoever comes closer will get the 1st prize of 1Th/s bitcoin mining power. Just the price difference is important. It can be either positive or negative.
4. If two or more participants qualify with the same price entry (I repeat, 4 decimal digits), they will be separated by posting order.
5. Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, December 31st, 12:00 pm(noon) GMT.
6. You can modify your answer as many times as you wish until Wednesday, December 31st, 12:00 pm(noon) GMT, but posting sooner will give you priority in the case of a draw.
7. I will be posting the screenshot with the exact winning price average on Thursday January 1st, at a reasonable time before 6 pm. You are free to check the accuracy of the numbers by refreshing your Cryptomine dashboard at New Years.

Good Luck and Happy Holidays!

7  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 26, 2014, 11:15:13 AM
Very nice website guys, I think you guys are doing a GREAT job. Don't care about haters, there will always be some jealous of others success Wink, I got some questions:
1. You guys are here to stay and if purchasing contract, you will be promised your ROI around the days as said in future?
2. The electricity is very low, I wanna thank for that as it still is profitable, now uhm when it says daily reward: 5 dollars  for example, does that include with the electricity fees or do they not include that in daily reward?

-Thanks, hope for answer soon and in 2015 January some time I will try your service out, keep the good work up!
-Steffen.

1. Yes, as a matter of fact, our estimations take into account a ~ 9-10% difficulty increase every 2 weeks, so right now the estimations are lower than what is being earned.

2. The daily rewards shown on the mainpage does not factor in electricity. But all estimations and graphs do. The most detailed information about profitability can be found on the "Mining Power" tag of your control panel, right before purchasing a contract.
8  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 20, 2014, 01:24:53 PM
Everything is up & running again. No data was lost or compromised and all pending payments have been resolved.
Thank you for your patience during this uncomfortable situation.
9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 19, 2014, 10:24:21 PM
Ok, things almost taken care of. Site is back up, with better protection this time. Secure SSL connections are not available yet,  so you won't be able to log in just yet. We'll get this sorted in a bit.

The DDoS attack was performed by DD4BC, a group of bored underprivileged children, I assume.  They take advantage of the fact that most websites use cloudflare for convenience and they manage to find the direct server IP address, which they then attack.
We have switched to incapsula, who emphasize ddos mitigation and protection much more than cloudflare.

So be careful anyone using cloudflare. Not really much protection if your server's ip can be found so easily.
10  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 19, 2014, 03:43:01 PM
Hello folks. It seems the website is under ddos attack. No need to worry, we will be migrating to a more secure server tonight.
I chose the bahnhof.net  hosting personally, because I liked what they stand for and the fact that they are promoting libertarian principles.
But.. that does not protect against attacks.
Anyway, the mining operation is not affected and no data will be lost during the migration. It's going to be a few more hours and everything will be back to normal, on a hardware shielded server.
We thought cloudflare protection was enough, but apparently not.

Alright, anyone who has payed in bitcoin to this company, tell us what the address is for the deposit, anyone who has (If Any) successfully withdrawn any btc, tell us what the payout address is.

Bit of data mining on this company as some interesting things..

http://www.formationsdirect.com/companysearchlist?number=09267160 not much info on the company yet, only its just 2 days shy of being one month active.

https://who.is/whois/https://cryptomine.io right'o, lets google the address...

http://www.londonpresence.com/mail-forwarding/ a "Virtual Office" at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU

http://www.ukaddressbook.uk/a/20-22-wenlock-road-london-england-n1-7gu lol, they must have not updated, i can see over 9000 companies now..

http://www.businesstrainingmadesimple.co.uk/contact-us/ man, it must be crowded in them flats...

http://www.companieslist.co.uk/09233649-green-harvest-trading-co-ltd Another?

Alright, how are you fitting 8KWH / 5PHs of mining equipment in this place? you taking over their carpark space?!
These Union Wharf apartments seems to get abused a lot by businesses..
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-40529288.html
Union Wharf, 20-25 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU

and i can pull this info up via google...

look how small they are, 110 Square Meters, please tell me one of you guys at cryptomine.io lives there and paid about $750,000 for 110 Square Meters.

... well crap, look what i done, this is what happens when im bored on a Sunday morning

Nice work. Only we already mention on our website that the mine is located on an industrial estate in mainland Europe.
The company address in London is for legal purposes only. But I get it that's more exciting to "uncover stuff" than read all we have to say first.

I repeat, right now we are managing a private mine, of which we only own part. We cannot point just our share of the mining power to a public pool, as our contract is quite rigid and does not allow for this. But come February, we will no longer be under contract and will be able to do whatever we see as reasonable, which includes many of your proposals.

Thank you.

How i can change my BTC receiving address?

You need to contact our support. They will change it for you.
13  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 13, 2014, 06:18:07 PM
Yes, we could. But that would be taking it a little too far, only for argument's sake.

Until we can do good on our promise, everyone is, of course, free to make their own informed decision.
14  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 13, 2014, 05:27:57 PM
I really appreciate the new tone of the discussion. It's nice to see things kept decent and cool.

There is a lot of reason to doubt us right now, I agree. And I am also aware that the collapse of the ponzi pbmining will generate some turmoil and will make waves.

We are keeping everything low-key for now, until February, when we will be able to shed some light on our operation and clear everything up.
Currently, we are only accepting bitcoins and the advertising campaign sums up to a banner and the signature campaign on this forum.
Until February, my goal is to make our services known to the more frequent users and cryptocurrency enthusiasts. After we will be able to provide consistent proof, we will also start getting our advertising, marketing and social presence into gear.
Until then, bare with us and enjoy the Holidays and the New Year. They're just around the corner...

15  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 11, 2014, 06:54:53 PM
"current reward -  0.0000140/Gh per day" .  Well almost 5 days before there was 0.0000150 gh/s . Can we expect 0.0000130 reward after next 5 days ? Going low so quickly...

The mining rewards can vary from one day to the next. Profitability goes down when mining difficulty increases, but between difficulty changes, daily profitability varies depending on the luck factor.
I think you are misinterpreting things a little. It's best to use an independent profitability calculator, such as found on coinwarz, to get a clearer picture.
16  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 11, 2014, 02:42:46 PM
So you say you can easily prove us wrong, ...
... only to then give some bullshit explanation why you cant prove us wrong.

You cant us prove wrong because we are not wrong.

Didn't know you guys were an item. But whatever floats your boat.
I think you stated your point of view several times on our thread. I respect your opinion and anyone who wishes to see it can do so countless times since the beginning of the thread. But it is just that, a personal opinion based on assumptions and suppositions. I explained our situation and gave a pretty specific deadline for everything. We are not in any rush to go anywhere, as you can tell pretty clearly from the way we conduct our advertising campaign and pace our strategy. We haven't even began accepting anything other than bitcoin. Anyway, thanks again for the valuable input.

17  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 11, 2014, 12:38:42 AM
The current reward displayed on our website is accurate.
Please don't forget the luck factor involved in cryptocurrency  mining. On our website we display the latest daily mining result obtained.
The theoretical calculations show an average possible mining reward, not a maximum one. The actual results can vary quite a lot, depending on the pool luck factor.
There is always room for optimization and certain pools manage to swing the luck factor in their favor more of the time than others.

Show us your mining stats then and your mining income for the day in question, otherwise you may as well be just making up those values.

We are not misleading anyone and the reward displayed on our website is the actual reward our clients received the day before. We try to keep things as accurate as possible.
If you are interested in purchasing a mining contract to see how we do things first hand, I will be more than happy to accommodate your request.

Yes, you are. You're telling people that they will earn so much per day, based on your service being extremely lucky the day before, making your service seem more profitable. Are you having the exact same amount of luck on multiple consecutive days? Has the value you show ever been below the theoretical value? Luck works both ways but I've only ever seen the value on your site above theoretical. I'll be keeping a close eye on that to be sure.

I don't believe a word you are saying and I think you are just making up values as you go. You can easily prove me wrong my showing me the evidence.

First of all, thank you for the vote of confidence, Mabsark. Haven't played tag in a long time.

Second, yes, I can easily prove you wrong and I will. I have already said this a bunch of times, but perhaps not clearly enough. We are under contractual obligation to manage a joint mining operation and not to disclose any pictures or other media materials of the facilities or hardware until the end of January 2015. Come February, we will be free to do whatever we like and this includes moving into a new separate facility.

Now if this sounds like we plan to close up shop in February, then by all means think just that. Everybody is entitled to an opinion and everyone can decide for themselves if to believe what I am saying is true or not.  But please, enough of this finger pointing and going over the same things over and over again. I think everyone has made their point pretty clearly and there is no use in playing childish games or repeating ourselves indefinitely.

Yes, we did have days in which the payout was less than the theoretical value, but not many. The pools we mine on are held by a partner company that does this exclusively and it's their job to keep these pools on the cutting edge. Fortunately we managed to secure an independent agreement with them starting February.
18  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 09, 2014, 02:47:34 PM
The "current reward" is still wrong! It's been changed to 0.00001500 per Gh per day.

Here's the equation:

Reward = Hash Rate * Block Reward * 86400 * ((65535 / 2^48 ) / Difficulty)

1*10^9 * 25 * 86400 * ((65535 / 2^48 ) / 40007470271) = 0.00001257 BTC

Why are you misleading potential customers by making your service seem more profitable than it actually is?

The current reward displayed on our website is accurate.
Please don't forget the luck factor involved in cryptocurrency  mining. On our website we display the latest daily mining result obtained.

i look electricty cost raised from 22 to 23  Undecided

Electricity prices are fixed at $0.000816 / Gh per day and $0.014 / Mh per day.  Please note these are fixed in USD and when Bitcoin drops in value, as is the case now, naturally, electricity prices expressed in BTC will increase slightly.
19  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 08, 2014, 06:49:29 PM
We're implementing final changes regarding prices & rates.  Didn't want to take the website down just for this, as it's going to be over  in under an hour.
20  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptomine.io - SHA-256 & Scrypt Unlimited Mining Contracts on: December 08, 2014, 03:34:52 PM
I'm not sure what to say about other cloud services' mining rewards, but you must be aware that as bitcoin mining difficulty increases, profitability goes down, at the same pace.

Was there a difficulty increase? Last I heard it decreased.

I am not just referring just to the last change. But since we started, at the beginning of November rates have been quite constant, which is a very lucky break.

All website problems have been addressed and everything works properly now.  Purchasing issues on certain browser versions has been fixed.

Electricity costs have been factored in the displayed rates, as these were already being deduced by our internal engine and subtracted again by the user when calculating estimations.
This is why certain users felt that profitability is not making sense.

We also lowered our prices a little today:

Bitcoin Mining Power - $385 per Th/s
Altcoins Mining Power - $12,45 per Mh/s

The price changes are permanent. Even if these are not very significant, for Bitcoin especially they are meant to gauge more interest to Scrypt mining contracts.
We will not raise prices if mining difficulty continues to decrease.
