Unfortunately it is difficult to verify trust via this forum. You may have better luck in #Bitcoin-otc on IRC using the web of trust.

You may have better luck with this by using #bitcoin-otc in IRC. Paypal doesn't like bitcoin (for semi-obvious reasons) and will ban accounts participating it its exchange (AFAIK).

Try a different pool, the pool you are using could be giving connection errors.

The ram has little to no relevance to hash rate. There are odd examples where the 2gb models have easier access to more shaders, such as the 6950.

But for 99% of situations, having 1gb vs 2gb makes no difference.
