We were only trying to run a business which would help people.  It's just that we failed miserably.
I live with the pain of knowing that we let people down who were hoping that we could help them save their homes.... and faster.   But all in all, we were only able save a small percentage of the homes we were tasked with.
It was never fraud.   It was mismanagement.    And we learned a LOT of lessons from that experience.     Lessons we will never forget.

I could make something that looked like USD, but wasn't quite, and call it "NEWSD". But for it to have a value significant enough to drop the value of USD it would have to have something good going for it right? People use BTC and there has to be a pretty good reason for them to think it is worth less.

A New Zealander made bidbot which was inspired by this comic. He sold 10,15,and 20 dollar boxes of random stuff bought with free shipping.

Are there supposed to be duplicate entries? I see "Bit by Bit" and "base2shop.com" listed twice in their respective categories.

Also, any chance you'll go through and fill in the directory a bit? I was thinking of starting a competing service to base2shop.com but just came across DownloadCoin.com. Glad I did, because the latter is really well done and has a lower transaction fee than I would have started with. It would have been incredibly wasteful had I not stumbled across it before starting development of my own service.

Interesting, downloadcoin looks like it has potential. Could I ask what you are selling? Maybe even a link to your content on the site?
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet on: August 26, 2011, 12:20:57 PM
Nice guide will refer to it when I have enough bitcoins to be worth stealing. Nothing will ever be 100% secure though, but if you rounded upwards the claim is probably correct. Cheers
13  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitminter.com * 150 BTC promotion * mine 6-11% more bitcoins! on: August 26, 2011, 11:44:18 AM
A great pool in which I have enjoyed using. My thanks to the creator(s?). May the blocks be plentiful
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: further improved phatk OpenCL kernel (> 4% increase) for Phoenix - 2011-08-11 on: August 26, 2011, 11:31:59 AM
Thanks for this great kernel mod, it did result in a solid 7~ mhash increase on my 5570, up from 63~. Will donate some if I manage to get amazingly lucky solo mining (I figure it's more fun to try for freak luck, It's a better habbit than lotto tickets right?)

Have you checked your stales? Also I would advise bitminter at the moment as they are giving away a 5% bonus for the next 52 blocks
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bit by Bit - Giving new users free BTC on: August 26, 2011, 11:11:34 AM
Why does the "by" in "Bit by Bit" link to the page it is on? Also the "me" in "Contact Me" and the "drawing" in "Lottery Drawing"

edit: Also cool idea, especially since I used my ip address to send bitcoins into the void using bitcoin faucet the first time.
