3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: MYC(MyCoin)Windows Client Download (Version 2.0 April 06-Update)OPEN SOURCE on: April 08, 2014, 10:03:54 PM

Quote from the OP:
" 99% of the coin will be distributed to more than 100,000 people in a equaly way in a long period. "

It's the most ridiculous part. The target to distribute to 100,000 people just makes me laugh.  Any idiot can believe in it?

That means most coins (maybe >80%) are in the hand of the dev in a long period.
This makes the coin as a shit.

And also the PoW will make the coin die at the beginning. C2 has proved it.

Dev, why can't you buy a PoS coin ?

2.5BTC is what you can afford?

7  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BTC :: Skrill Neteller PokerStars (Selling & Buying) on: February 15, 2014, 01:49:58 AM
Just did a trade with this guy, was fast and easy. Despite Skrill being stupid with 500 - internal server errors we got it done very smoothly.
8  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BTC :: Skrill Neteller PokerStars (Selling & Buying) on: February 14, 2014, 08:13:38 AM
I'm interested in buying about 510 USD (minus your 4% fee of course) worth of BTC from you via Skrill. At current bitstamp price this would come out to ($588 * 1.04) = 611.52 510/611.52 = ~0.834 BTC Im sure the price will have changed when you see this though  Grin.

I will be buying a Sapphire 290 Tri-X with the BTC if you care.  Let me know if we can work something out!

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is bter.com legit? Can't withdraw any funds on: May 07, 2013, 08:11:05 AM
+1 This website is legit, their support answers my emails almost instantly and I've been using it for about three days now, made more BTC there than on any other exchange.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why just new "scrypt" coins and no new "SHA-256" coins ? on: May 07, 2013, 08:07:26 AM
Doesn't that mean that ASICs are hindering the overall growth of crypto currencies in general? Does having more total hashing power have any intrinsic benefit for a network once difficulty adjustment's effectively weed out all the GPU miners?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are all the alts suddenly tanking against BTC? on: May 06, 2013, 10:42:38 AM
People are spending money previously invested in other altcoins on the new ones. BTC price also hasn't moved during this time, so naturally those coins are lower priced.  The price will correct within a few days I'm sure.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be next for BTC-E.com on: May 06, 2013, 09:07:07 AM
BTC-E.com has to be careful to not loose it's reputation. Adding a new coin every week is not very professional.

imho MtGox approach is much better: Only add mature coins.

Why wouldn't they add more coins? it just secures them more strong positions in the altcoin game. Plus, money!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CNC bigger than expected?? on: May 06, 2013, 07:51:35 AM
Keep in mind guys, China has the worlds largest population (1.35+ Billion) which is about 20% of the entire world population.
Investors might speculate profit and value in this cryptocurrency.
Today, they are cheap but one day this may be China's BTC. I've seen crazier things happen.

I see some trying to DDOS the CNC pools to possibly try and take full advantage of mining the coin??
People laughed at FTC too, but I can see this really having some major potential.

Which other coin went from google docs exchange (day 1/2) to major exchange (bter.com) in 4 days? Grab a few while they're $0.15.

What are your thoughts?

Just because it's named after them doesn't mean they're going to invest/use it.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chain Bloat CNC, FTC, LTC on: May 06, 2013, 01:02:08 AM
You can use colors and bigger sized letters in signatures to make them stand out more. However, I think the mods changed the signature rules a while ago. I'm not certain but I think newbie signatures cannot change letter size or color, jt members get slightly bigger letters, and each member grade up gets allowed progressively bigger letters and more color in their sig.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOP MAKING COINS BAD FOR CRYPTO CURRENCY WILL DESTROY ALL COINS EVENTUALLY on: May 04, 2013, 12:55:58 AM
Can we really argue candy bars and ice cream are the same as a brand new industry such as cryptocurrency?

New alts won't destroy all coins but I could definitely see a massive market crash that makes them all worthless for a year or two before they are reborn.

it would be due to the bitcoiners going galt.  they all quit from mass frustration.  but even if it crashed and people stopped mining, all it would take is a couple weeks for difficult to collapse before people started mining again.  that is the beauty of it.    any crash is short term.
yeah just like the IBM compatible computer.  people cloned the shit out of IBM's PC.  IBM totally went bankrupt.  Wish they were still around to see the PC glory days.

oh and Apple.  Look what happened to them.  Freakin Android stole their design and just made a crappy copy of the iPhone.  Apple must be worthless now.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Petition - PPC/USD on BTC-E.com on: April 16, 2013, 10:57:40 PM
No, you can enable it in your settings.
Trading of altcoins with other currencies than BTC is disabled by default,
I think because of the low volume and the high bid-ask spread.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTB PPcoin with BTC on: April 15, 2013, 08:34:58 AM
Why not use BTC-e or Vircurex?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTC][Pool][PPLNS] WeMineLTC.com|0% FEES!|Stratum|DDoS Protection|VARDIFF!! on: April 15, 2013, 08:18:40 AM
Same here, coins are going somewhere... But I'm not seeing them..  On one setup for this pool I run 800khs....down 1 coin since yesterday  X a few hundred users at that hash rate...that's pretty lucrative.

If it goes down again in the next few days, I'm packing it up...
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin reaches 10 Gigahashes (10 Terahashes in Bitcoin terms) ? on: April 15, 2013, 08:12:22 AM
Yeah, at this point Im mining based on the future price cause as it is now with current difficulty and price, its frankly a marginal operation considering that it takes a fair amount of time and effort keeping several rigs hashing 24/7. Im a believer that LTC can be a longterm contender, but right now it makes a lot more sense to buy coins than build new rigs to mine them at these prices.

Same here, I'm almost mining at a loss based completely on speculation that LTC is horrendously undervalued.
