re: the web wallet. Will we have our own private keys or will those sit on the wallet server exclusively?

Question about the wallet:
So, in the more recent wallet releases there's been a graph on the overview tab of Stake Weight vs. Blocks. Can we get some explication of this indicator? How does that graph relate, mathematically, the amount of HYPER you own vs. how tall the HYPER blockchain is?

Re: beta wallet...
Ok, enough with the "just download the rar, unpack it, and run!!1!" bullshit. That is not how a software upgrade is done. Put it in a godsdamned installer already. The user should NEVER be faced with the prospect of two seperate "installed" wallets or having to search for %appdata%. Haven't y'all ever dealt with nontechnical folks? The idea of having to delete the old wallet software is enough to send many prospective users into hyperventilation.
Single file. Upgrade in place. And Windows should see it in the add/remove programs list.
This is basic UI 101 stuff and we should set some standards now, while it's early.

That's outstanding news! Of course real-world and QR code payment won't mean much until we have amobile wallet (light and non-staking for hot wallet, most likely), but when we get that, this will be huge.

That Bittrex order book is a thing of beauty right now... It's nice and thick, but there's not much in the way of dumping. mmmmm.... liquidity.... ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Gotta support HYPER here. It's awesomely down to Earth and doing great vs. The btc price drop.

So... Bitcoin goes from $370 to $312 (probably more before this bear finally dies, according to the traders) and HYPER's market cap goes from $155k to +$200k? Either I'm spectacularly naive or that's freaking AMAZING! (...or both.)

Holy carp, am I glad SLR was one of the 3 or 4 cryptos I invested with! I picked which ones to buy based on the criterion that they were sound, honest, and had a use case founded in the real world (well.. except for HYPER. But that was based on the idea that people will keep playing video games, which seems reasonable.) All went up in the recent btc price crash. I'm really glad SolarCoin was one of them. I just wish I had bought more. I really hope this kills off some shitcoins.

The HYPER forum is postively overrun with spam. Is there anything we can do?

Nick's post was all I needed. All good now.

Yes, yes, that's all well and good. Nevertheless, a good explanation doesn't do a damned thing about the problem. Someone on the dev team needs to contact this guy and has needed to do so since April. The fact that no one has makes me go from 'hopeful' to 'extremely dubious'. Do you understand? It's not the claim that bugs me, per se, but the fact that this has just been sitting out therefor MONTHS and no one has done a damned thing about it.
I _was_ extremely positive about this coin. Seeing that claim made me think about getting out entirely. Hearing that it's an old, unadressed claim makes me DEFINITELY want to get out as soon as I can.

I was looking around for good altcoin charts and found cryptocoincharts.info. Their page on SLR says at the top "SCAM coin! be aware! they are faking the marketcap". Perhaps someone with more econ and finance than me could contact the site? Page is at: http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/coins/show/slr

Well, like I said elsewhere, I'm giving HYPER and BTC for Christmas. Teens especially.
I'd personally be surprised if we got a USD/HYPER exchange any time soon. We're, what, the 75th biggest market cap right now in crypto. We're still small potatoes. What worries me is something like bitcoin or gems eating our lunch. Yeah, PoS is uniquely well-suited for crossgaming currency, if only from a supply side, but betamax died. Tech isn't everything.
Frankly, the one thing that HYPER has that the other alts dont is David Seaman. Right now, much of HYPER's value is backed with his reputation. It's keeping us afloat, but the market isn't moving. Nor should it, until something changes.
