3  Economy / Securities / How do you invest your bitcoin? on: January 03, 2015, 08:32:24 PM
I've recently got into Bitcoin and I really like it. I can see its benefits for everyone. I use it for purchases when available, but I am also trying to find a good way to invest. I'm not interested in cloud mining. Any suggestions?

i never read about this site before
what kind of service they offer
i hope you are not doing self promotion, i will suggest to use only trusted site to avoid scam

Definitely not self promotion, don't know how it can appear to be.
It's a place where you can get your direct deposit from employer made into bitcoin.
I am here to figure out if it can be trusted to avoid a scam.

A popular method by scammers is for newb accounts to sign up here to create a thread asking if people have heard of their scamsite in an attempt to get people to check them out and hopefully deposit or whatever, so sometimes people are suspicious of sites they've never heard of.

Ah gotcha, no scamer here just hoping to find someone that has used this service so I can hear some of their input.

I am thinking about signing up and getting a % of my paycheck in Bitcoin. Just wondering are they pretty consistent on getting you the bitcoins in a timely manner and have you had any bad experiences? Thanks everyone

If you are brand new to Bitcoin and to this forum, I'd recommend asking a ton of questions in the Beginners & Help sub forum, as well as, doing common searches within the main forum for typically asked questions.

Read the original white paper:

https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Watch every video posted on this site:

https://bitcoin.org/en/

Watch and absorb every video posted about Andreas Antonopolous.  Listening to his explanations will help you learn about Bitcoin quickly:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cexawnOlR8

Read, watch, learn, contribute, participate and be involved.  Good luck!

I have been watching a lot of Andreas videos the guy seems like a genius.

Hopefully I got to you before the cloudmining sites.

Please read this before you go into any cloudmining contract.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.0

But actually just avoid cloudmining sites in general.

Please do your research before investing in anything. Don't forget that bitcoin is money.

General tips:
1. Stay away from cloudmining.
2. Faucets are a waste of time.
3. Try to join a signature campaign here. It can be really profitable once your member rank goes up.

But overall, welcome and have fun. Cheesy

Thanks for the advice, yeah I've looked into mining a little bit and it's definitely not for me lol. And faucets lol I have better things to with my time.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I doubt we'll ever go mainstream on: December 30, 2014, 12:33:46 PM
When it comes to bitcoin and the blockchain I would say we are still in the early dos days of the technology. There is a ton of room for it to grow before it goes mainstream but with the rate that technology advances I believe it can happen pretty fast. By the year 2020 I believe we will see a bitcoin logo right next to every visa and Mastercard logo at every gas station, grocery store and retail store.

Hi all,

Are there any good bitcoin/Crypto currency podcasts (that are still updateed) that anyone knows of? I work 10/12 hours a day and like to have something to listen to to pass some of the time.

Thanks

Hi all,

Saw a post somewhere that this is the place to be to learn/expand knowledge on bitcoin. I have been trying to learn what I can just through Web searches but it will be nice to be part of a community like this.

I have bought and used bitcoin but I have been doing it pretty blindly, I would definitely consider myself a bitcoin beginner and have a ton to learn, I'm hoping to be an active member and learn and contribute where I can.
