1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA - Unmoderated thread on: May 31, 2016, 09:00:33 PM
sorry to hear there is no room for collaboration with GDc. I invested in both IOTA and GDC. can't be the bottlenecks removed? sometimes the parties must compromise to make business together.

The bottlenecks were purely personal, nothing on a technical level. The leader of the project wanted all communication to happen through him. I.E. no discussion with the GDC community or developers, which means no fluidity or organic collaboration, on both sides we're dependent on this single individual being available at all times across all timezones 24/7 365, which of course is impossible. This also meant no stimulating discussions with developers etc. In addition to this - quite ironically given him being the bottleneck - if you did not respond within a couple of hours he would block you out of nowhere. Let's just say that I have very little reason to believe this will change and thus it is borderline impossible to collaborate with their project.

ok, thanks! I will ask the GDC devs if they can adopt to a different communication. would you accept if 2-3 people talking from GDC not only one? Would be rationality or gain for IOTA in a collaboration? if you think yes, IOTA is interested, I can ask the GDC developers to delegate a team not only one person.

To be honest I don't see anything they can really do for us at this point, they'd have to come up with a compelling reason for us to spend time on it and the 'rules of engagement' would have to be sane. It's really at the bottom of the bottom of our priority list at the moment.

oops, I've already sent a message to the GDC dev to contact you. i will undo it and tell them don't make any contact.  Cheesy Either way is good. good enough for me if IOTA is busy and doing well. thanks!

This sounds a neat project. Has anybody verified that the claims of the OP about the tech are valid? is the application exist or only a white paper and a plan were presented?

Another FUD...  Cheesy

FUD? it was a simple question. nothing wrong if the software doesn't exist and will be developed later. I am only asking.

There is a roadmap. Some exist, some needs to be developed.

ok. Thanks!

what is his current project? I know the OP writer from Ethereum and gadgetcoin. is he involved with other projects?

Some innocent people will be harmed if I reveal this.

Skycoin? please tell me, you made me curious  Cheesy

it would be nice to build a bridge between IOTA and Gadgetcoin. David + CfB + the GDC developers would be stronger together against Ethereum, DAO and LISK. why can't the 2 IoT project work together?

We're not working against anyone, on the contrary the vision of IOTA is synergy and interoperability. We've been in touch with Ethereum re: this since we began.

We tried collaborating with GDC guys, but without embarrassing anyone let's just say that it was not possible in practice, too many artificial bottlenecks.

As for DAO and Lisk, I have yet to see any of these projects give me a vision that shows any area of interoperability, we were in touch with Slock.it back in 2015, but personally from their whitepaper their vision is just a bit too narrow, so we'll focus on our vision instead.

if the Ethereum partnership is possibility then it is understandable you don't need any other. sorry to hear there is no room for collaboration with GDc. I invested in both IOTA and GDC. can't be the bottlenecks removed? sometimes the parties must compromise to make business together.

I completed only one year in a community college information technology course. I have never worked as a programmer, but this is embarrassing in your code:

static final int PORT = 999;
(Node.java, line 15)

Programmers should never hard code the port number. It should be in configuration file. You could just say, sorry guys, I made a mistake, I will fix it. The trolling won't get you a good software.

It's an interesting claim. Do you know how to write a reference implementation?

Is it interesting claim that you mustn't hard code configuration related settings in the source code? I read this rule in my first year programming text book in the community college.

Please listen me. We gave you money. You have released very little and what you gave us is not even usable and secure. Only root user can run the software, which is useless. It is not secure design. You have fun and troll all day TPTB_need_war and altcoinuk while the investors have been waiting the launch of IOTA for 4 months. Please sort out the software.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA - Unmoderated thread on: March 11, 2016, 07:01:30 PM
What a wanker and what a BS. No wonder NXT is used by nobody in real world, no wonder they delivered nothing with JINN.

And then a "reference implementation" is released to end users - obviously without any QA test - with a hard coded port numbers and by violating basic security requirements to run the system with root privilege, because there are "unexpected problems" and "the testing a nightmare". Will the idiots understand that they got a bogus and disturbingly poorly written "reference implementation" after 5 months and for $500k? Probably not.

I guess "IMHO" is the only argument you have.

While AltcoinUK is quite the basket case, he happens to be right: This, just like JINN and NXT itself, is a clear ponzi scam.

Not a lot unlike the other he supports, Gadget, mind you...

I support Bitcoin in the the first place and with the majority of my money, and I do support projects which try to deliver something real. The Gadgetcoin developers have about 2-3 weeks to deliver what they promised (a real IoT solution) and then the party is over as far as my concerns - if they are unable to deliver then they will be in trouble with me. I support Ethereum from day one, because at the time their smart contract concept was a genuinely novel idea and I thought there is a slight chance that they can deliver a real and useful decentralized blockchain technology for real world businesses. I am sure you remember how much I was talking about the smart contract concept and its potential to deliver a fantastic return on investment. The financial success is there all right, but I am very unhappy with the direction of ETH and the current meaningless and baseless P&D. If the direction doesn't change then I will exit. C'est la vie. I will give the profit to some charity. I support Skycoin, because the mesh network concept is a socially important initiative and I believe the developer is smart enough to deliver it. If he delivers the mesh network than the society as a whole will benefit from it (see the totalitarian trends in politics which makes the mesh network an important initiative). I will support TPTB_need_war. He is probably not from the Samaritans as well, but he is at least intelligent enough to don't base his project on a blatant scam like these IOTA/JINN wankers did so most likely he will deliver something useful.

In 95% of the cases you are spot on about all kind of things. It doesn't surprise me you understand better than anyone does here - including me - that JINN and IOTA are blatant scams. There is nothing to do with these low life fraudsters except contact law enforcement, let law enforcement handle the case and put them in jail, next to the Moolah scammer Ryan Kennedy. The sockpuppets and shrills were trolling 18 months ago - like now the IOTA sockpuppets and shrills troll all over the place - when I said that I will contact law enforcement about Moolah. Now, the Moolah scammer Ryan Kennedy is in prison. It was you and me who pointed out the Bitbay scam. Now the Bitbay scammers are being investigated by law enforcement. The good news for the future victims of this blatant IOTA/JIN scam is that David boy and the Belarusian will end up in prison as well, and then some of the money will be recovered. Still, the fact that these scammers took over the crypto currency market is indeed a very sad state of affairs.

Hi altcoinuk! The gadgetcoin developers are working and active. Please check out the gadgetnet Ryver forum.

15  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: February 12, 2016, 01:59:19 AM

QUESTION: Marty, at the Conference you said we could conclude this in the first quarter if we get the alignment. It does not look like we will get the alignment since gold is up and the Dow is down. This is why you have been saying this looked like it was postponing into 2017?

ANSWER: Yes. We could have concluded this here in 2016, but the Reversals determine the trend. Trend is ALWAYS defined by the Bullish and the Bearish Reversals. Those who expect forecasts to be one-sided opinions are not traders and will typically lose their shirt as 90% of people who try to trade do. A real trader MUST know where he is right and where he is wrong at all times since the market is the only thing that is ever infallible. Those who expect one-sided forecasts never survive. Those who do not grasp why we have Bullish and Bearish Reversals defining the trend claiming that is why we are always right are blind fools. You cannot elect both the Bearish and the Bullish on the same day. These type of people will be separated from their money real fast in the coming Sling-Shot because they are incapable of understanding how markets even move. This is a learning experience and when there is nothing left to learn, it is time to die. So those who are incapable of learning, well I suppose they are just a waste of humanity that drive the rest of us in awe watching their stupidity repeat over and over again.

True, 2016 would be the 5 years down from the 2011 high in gold. But because of the spit with 2012 being the highest annual closing, this has left the door open to the conclusion being pushed off into 2017. If we got the final low for gold in the first quarter then a low in the Dow as well would be the alignment that confidence in government would collapse now. But when the Dow closed year-end lower and gold closed above our number, then this is why I stated gold is not as weak as it appeared. It then began electing the Bullish Reversals, not the Bearish, and that gave us the indication we would get a rally BETWEEN the Benchmarks at a very minimum. This was only reinforced by the closing in the Euro  where we warned the Euro should rise to 113 at minimum and 116 optimal. The decline in the dollar should have helped gold, but it will also intensify the deflation in Europe and help to push their banking system over the cliff as is happening right now.

The talk around the street is claiming the moves are a lack of confidence in general that central banks can control the economy. Well that’s nice, for they never could. But this is looking very dicey to say the least. That is why we have to just following the Reversals and the Timing. We have heard every excuse to explain the trend from the stock market is now following oil to gold has rallied because the Fed will not raise rates. Honestly, this all sounds like gibberish.

The markets are preparing for a sling-shot move that will make most people’s nose bleed. Gold has reached so far the 1263 level so there is still room on the upside yet before encountering resistance. The two key numbers to watch now are the 1309 and 1363 levels. Pay attention to the Dow. If we can closing below 15875 we have a shot of finally breaking last year’s low.

Also pay attention to silver. It has not kept pace with gold showing the bulk of the gold move has been short-covering. Here we need a closing for the week above 1643 to be comparable with gold just above the 1209 number. We also have a Weekly Bullish at 1544. Silver is begrudgingly following which does not speak well for the long-term sustainability here.

So in the end, we will set the stage for all this craziness moving to extremes. Then ask yourself this question? Are you willing to hand your money to government and ask it hold it for you? If we are concerned about banks, and we are concerned about government, then there is not much life but to move to the private sector. So when rates go negative, a 1% yield in a blue-chip stock looks like haven. That is the shift on the horizon from public to private. We have to get the weak-minded running into the arms of government before the markets will slaughter them for their stupidity.

I think he means with the notion of "If we can closing below 15,875 we have a shot of finally breaking last year’s low" that if we close below by end of the week. Usually he means the closing at the end of week. So it doesn't matter in that context that today we closed at 15,660. I am just pointing this out before people run and start to short DJIA. Which I am doing btw LoL 2 hours ago when it got to 15,650 I shorted DJIA with a March put. I think Down Jones should catch up with Russel 2000 which is already at May 1 2013 level. I expect Down Jones will break the 15,150 support by end of February. I am hedging this trade with shorting SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) to avoid a major screw up scenario.

I read in the forum that JINN investors expected you design a processor, sell it and pay dividend from the processor sale. is the code at the link part of the processor design, will you sell this code? sorry, I am not a programmer. I just want understand what can the investors expect from IOTA if all money goes to JINN and it is not possible to deliver JINN.
no hard feeling. I know the rules, only invest what you can afford to lose.

For details you should contact David, make sure you can provide a proof that you own JINN. We don't give information to those who don't own JINN.

It's ok it's not so important. I don't have JINN. I have only Gadgetcoin, XMR, LTC, BTC and IOTA.

I hope Come from Beyond will rebute altcoinUK's scam accusations of JINN.

We manufactured pieces of the prototype but decided not to publish the info to keep the project in stealth mode. altcoinUK's accusations are not worth losing stealth advantage, he is just one of many guys with big mouth, why should we care?

Edit: I think I can show one proof, because it's public anyway:

I am really disappointed that the team is even considering to close down this unmoderated thread which is the only platform for transparent communication. There are many elements of a crypto projects, in fact all elements should be discussed transparently in an unmoderated thread. It is very important that all sceptics like barabbas can point out problems and stress test the idea. Transparent conversation drives the process forward and usually results in morally correct business practice. First, the work with IOTA, after closing down the unmoderated thread. This is really shocking to me.

I agree. It's good barabbas, Come from Beyond and everybody else can post freely in this thread. I voted NO. Please don't close the thread.
