X21s algorithm, which is very strange algorithm, honestly. I don't know how to config my rigs to mine this one. I have never had experience with the algorithm.
On t-rex instead of -a x16r in the command line you simply put -a x21s assuming you have downloaded the latest t-rex version 0.8.3 Several pools already listed their command line instructions if you simply read the previous posts.

The guy that bought the pizza was one of the first GPU miners of Bitcoin. Literally one of the first 2 or 3 people in the world to mine Bitcoin by GPU when everyone else was using CPUs.
He has plenty of Bitcoin and by using some Bitcoin to make a purchase he helped raise the value of all the other Bitcoin he owned.

I put together a little medium post to help people who want to resell their assets. This post describes a simple process to add your JSON meta data with your contact information, sale price, etc. You can do this for new assets you create or you can re-issue an old asset for 100 RVN if you made it re-issuable. If you're like me and wondering why you couldn't simply type some text into the JSON meta hash field... this will walk you through the process and I include a sample file for you to simply edit with your info.

what miner better t-rex or enemy?
I wanted to ask something similar. Is the best miner for Nvidia currently Enemy? I've been using Nevermore. Seems like my numbers are lower than others.

One of the reasons that Ravencoin is getting popular is because they are using X16R. As the category leader for a new algorithm they attract a lot of attention from GPU miners.
I know people hate GPU miners because they think they dump all their coins on the market... In my opinion they help new coins because they bring a lot of attention and free marketing to a project. GPU miners are making videos and telling their friends about Ravencoin. This multiplies as the new people tell their friends, link the project on their blog posts, podcasts, etc.
Just my opinion of course... and I'm biased because I have a lot of GPUs.

Wow you don’t mess around
I forgot to pay my fee on my rigs and checked today and I’ve been blocked lol
Needless to say I’ve sent my fee plus some extra so hopefully I get my rigs back online again
I have multiple SMos accounts. Same thing happened to me. Seems like I should get an email or something to let me know before blocking my account. YOU HAVE my email address obviously. This is very bad business practice on SMos part. Another reason why the majority of my rigs are on ETHos not this piece of $%&@

I'm having a minor inconvenience with the -epoolsfile option. I'm using claymore trough Simplemining.net which means that finer folder gets swiped when i switch miner. This means that the epools.txt gets removed every time and my solution is to copy in a backup from another location. I have tried to add -epoolsfile and the direct path to the backup file but it does not seem to be able to read that file for some reason. -epoolsfile /home/miner/epools.txt gives this when I press "r" Reloading /home/miner/epools.txt ETH: 1 pool is specified This refers to the pool entered on the command line. if I copy this epools.txt to /root/miner/claymore-eth-v11.8/epools.txt and remove the -epools on the command line it gives the following in the log: Reloading epools.txt ETH: 4 pools are specified Which means it reads the file with three pools + the one on the command line So am I entering the path to the alternative epoolsfile wrongly in some sense or is Claymore unable to use absolute paths (so ../../../home/miner/epools.txt would work better)? Nah it gives Reloading ../../../home/miner/epools.txt ETH: 1 pool is specified Did you check your file permissions? Since you're traversing into a different directory structure, what is that directory's permissions? What is that file's permissions? Which group/user? You can give read access only to it. You don't need write access to keep the permissions secure.

Just thought the community would like to know what the dev fee in Claymore's miner actually converts to in Coins per day and average hash rate at "ONE" of the "-allpools 1" that his miner points at. Dwarfpool. Ethereum 0xbaef4a87e8a92ad5911bc5b0a2a02ed9867c0124 Earnings in last 24 Hours8.026286 ETH 0.46670158 ฿ 3824.0407 $ [Current approximate Hash rate135,565.89 Mh/s 135.56589 Gh/s Already Paid699.6276 ETH @ 0.05794500 ETH/BTC 40.53803928 BTC @ $8,232 USDT Grand total of: $ 333,709 -------------------------------------------------- Not bad for just one of the pools that his miner mines at for 1-2% dev fee is it. $333k US in dev fee income. Unbelievable. Wonder if he gives back. Cheers I suspect your numbers are actually low. He uses multiple addresses to mine too, in addition to using multiple pools.

it is obvious that the coin can be cloned like any other, just copy and paste the code The question was another. It was about a split in blockchain as happened with eth / etc. This is impossible in decred because the blockchain stops working without POS voting that will always be directed to only one chain.
This is interesting, although I admit I still don't understand how it is impossible to make a chainsplit even if it does indeed take more work than I assumed before. But if you insist this is the case and the dev team agrees, I guess I'll take your word for it Everything in Decred is voted on by the stake holders. The developers write and test code for BOTH outcomes of the vote. In the instance where a fork would occur, Decred's governance automatically selects the code based on the outcome of the vote by the stakeholders. https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/guides/a-look-at-decreds-governance-system/

What is the diff between bitcoin private and anon Since both r privacy coins. Which is better
This is irrelevant to the ZClassic thread. If you're asking here most people will say Bitcoin Private because it came from ZClassic which in turn came from ZCash which in turn came from Zero The main difference is the use of ZK-Snarks and both private and transparent addresses. Even on the anoncoin web site they discuss types of privacy. They talk about the Zerocash use of ZK-Snarks... https://anoncoin.net/Anonymity_of_cryptocurrencies/

Hi all my miners stopped working today and are displaying the same message, they are all on eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008
Pool sent wrong data, cannot set epoch, disconnectETH: connection lost retry in 20sec...
it keeps repeating this, any suggestions?? much appreciated
Update your claymore miner. You need to be using 11.x. You're probably on version 9.x If you login to Dwarfpool to look at your stats you'll see a message saying you need to update your Claymore.

I think deCRED is best crypto project of the last year ... is more undervalued and dev are working fine ... only in gen 2017 low price of 0,40 dollar ... and I'm not buyed .. I think the price can go up .. but the bearish moment of crypto market is an opportunity for who want invest Decred launched in 2016, not 2017. Decred launched on 7 February 2016. If you mean they did a lot of great development last year in continuing to make progress and innovate, then yes, you're right.

My rig is offline in Simplemining.net ..
But it keeps mining at Zpool.ca .. so atleast that works.
In Edge i get the message that the TLS certificate is not supported, and i dont even see a page. In Chrome, it just faills, but there is display.. (not that it works now.).
So what is going on? I am experiencing this for 2 days, from different locations.
Please investigate...update...
Regards,
DS-M
Sounds like a DNS attack on simplemining. It's pretty common these days. Hackers inject a fake DNS entry that takes you to a fake site. If you get a TLS/SSL warning do not go to the site. Do not login. A hacker could have stolen your information. The fact that you are saying your rig is offline in simplemining.net and you've had this problem for 2 days is a red flag. You shouldn't have logged in if you were getting this error for 2 days. (And a reason some of us don't use SimpleMining any more. I only have 3 rigs left on it.)

Could it, for example, mine EXP devfee, like it used to do in v10.6? Or predict/handle the reallocation failure somehow?
Passing -allcoins -1 or -allcoins epoch works, but the first one annoyingly delays first hashrate results for the user, and supplying the epoch number is tricky. Also, I'm now sure how to avoid breaking things for users that don't need it.
Have you tried -allcoins exp ?

There is no restriction to ask no need to go post into telegram. It seems you are so impressed by their official website if you think attractive website can bring more value to any project than you are moving into totally wrong direction.
Don't feed the bots. They're autoposting similar gibberish to get up their post counts.

You can try adding it manually. For GPU only for are you hoping or CPU? AFAIK ethOS doesn't officially support cpu mining and the people who have got it working had noticed a drop in gpu hashrate...
XMR Stak supports some of the new forked algos of cryptonight that Claymore and SGMiner don't. I don't want to manually install on 44 rigs. That is very time consuming.
|
|
|
Is there any possibility to get XMR STAK added to ethos?
Cryptonight algorithms are remaining focused on GPU miners. XMR forking to thwart ASICs and the new cryptonight forks are all great reasons to add XMR Stak to Ethos. They'll likely be useful for a long time for us GPU miners.
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing, fittsy. This is looking awesome man! Certainly is... Please keep us updated with your project. Always like seeing what other people come up with when using their imagination. It's truly inspiring and can generate other ideas to those who see them.
One question: It looks like the intake and exhaust will be right next to one another with those galvanized steel exterior wall vents. Do you have any concern with the intake sucking heat from the exhaust as it comes out? It may still work fine. I was only wondering...
If it does end up becoming an issue as you add more and more rigs, you may end up having to build some kind of exterior wall that's tall enough to act as a divider between the intake and exhaust vents to reduce the heat. But again, that's only IF it ends up becoming an issue. That was my plan if my intake and exhaust (on the same wall) were too close together. My intake and exhaust are 20 feet apart from one another and end up working fine without building a divider wall outside to separate them better. it may end up working fine with no issues.
Please do not think I'm being overly critical of your design and work. I like what you have going on there and look forward to seeing more updates in the future. I'm simply asking legitimate questions to see if you thought about it and find out if you had a plan B if it ended up becoming an issue?
Yeah, that is a bit confusing as I didn't post a photo of the other side of the building. I don't think I have that photo on this computer. The intake vent is a different side. It's got a peaked roof to fit two 48" 20,000 cfm filtered fans side by side. One is on the north side of the building and one south. We get breezes from the south so we put the intake vents on the south side and exhaust on the north side. The photo you're referencing will have two exhaust vents side by side, not intake.
