Not sure if anyone else had issues with the wallet connecting to the network, but I did and decided to share my .conf settings. It took a while searching but I found a lot of nodes that connect and it gave me a good 12 connections over the 0 I had starting out.

Simply add a new text file in your Bottlecaps wallet folder (for me it was c:/Users/MYNAMEHERE/appdata/roaming/Bottlecaps/ since I use Windows 8.1). Then rename that to bottlecaps.conf and say yes if it says it might become unstable. Next, copy and paste what I placed in quotes and save the conf file. Once you get this done I'd suggest exiting the wallet and then reopening it. Worked fine for me, hope it works for you guys also.

Being a major fan of the Fallout series since day-one, when I saw this I had to join in too! Love the idea of bottlecaps being used as tradable commodities and I hope it can continue on and build up a little more. If not, then I'll keep them as a memento regardless of value. =D

Welcome aboard.

Hopefully in an upcoming wallet release Theme support (ala Hyperstake) will get incorporated.  I made a Fallout theme for Hyperstake that I would much rather be on my Bottlecaps wallet.

I'd love to see it made a standard with all the Bottlecap wallets. Make a Nuka-Cola design and give it a weathered feel, I'd tell them to shut and take my caps. >=D

Wow, this coin looks great and the wallet is unique. I'm curious of two things: Can it be solo CPU mined? and When I use the mining pools it gives me a strange issue and disconnects.

I have the dump file, but for now I need sleep... I'll check back tomorrow.

Yeah, YAC is one of the best wallets I've ran, as far as finding nodes and peers.  There always seems to be a bunch.  Maybe it was an internet connection issue?

I don't see how since I run skype and steam and they never have the issue. Plus, I've been here asking for help. But thanks again for the advice.

Ok this is weird, I didn't do a single thing differently and decided to open the wallet again. So now it's connected to a few nodes and is downloading the block data.

Hello all, I have an issue with the wallet version 0.4.4 and it seems I couldn't get info from the main site. Then on top of this, searching is disabled here and so I need to find out if anyone has any ideas on how to get the wallet to connect to the network and begin the block data download? I'd appreciate the help and thanks in advance.

I haven't had issues with it. All of that should be done automatically and seamlessly after opening "yacoin-qt.exe"...

What operating system are you using? Are you seeing any errors?

I'm using Windows 8.1 and don't see any errors from the wallet or any windows based errors that usually popup from programs. It just sits there and doesn't connect to the YACoin network. I started it fresh from the download and it just hasn't done anything at all.
