Beautiful coin as there were so few of that specific series minted, I'm sure you'll get some nice offers!
Thank you for your support, unfortunately no bid yet at the starting price. Will need to wait some more years I guess.

I would not know how to best handle physical bitcoins.
I cringed when you posted the picture with your finger on the coin. Rule of thumb is to never ever touch a collectible coin with your bare hands. Will follow your advise and put gloves on in the future! Thx.

Usually best to start a little lower than the price you want it sold for, the price is determined by people who are really interested in this coin at the time it is available and how much they'd be ready to bid for it. Also MS64 is your own estimate, not one of the highest ratings to start with, I see your finger on the coin itself in the picture, has it been handled correctly?
A lot of small details can make a coin more valuable to the eye of a potential buyer.
And yes, the BTC pump is also influencing the current physical btc market, negatively.
Since the day I received the coins from casascius first hand (in a simple enveloped between 2 pieces of carton, if I recall right). I've stored them in my safe in a plastic envelop. I guess this is how those coins age. I would not know how to best handle physical bitcoins. Thank you for taking the time to respond. I really love this community! Being away from bitcoin for some times I remember now how fascinating this new eco system still is.

If you definitely want this sold, you should start the auction at 1BTC and you'll get some bids in for sure.
I can start at 1 BTC with a reserve price of 3 BTC but it's not really what I'm looking to accomplish. It's not that I'm in a rush. I'm mostly curious of which price this coin would be valued at. Also as explained previously it's part of my BTC portfolio money management strategy. I sold one of the same kind of coins via auction about a month ago. Same condition based on the pics. (your coin's holo looks a little decayed, and the other side has a couple of nicks). It sold for 1.3 btc. If you are looking for 3 btc as a reserve, I doubt you will get it, but good luck. Thanks for the insider information.

I think its the ebb and flows of markets. This is still a small niche market and its just the way it is right now, maybe people are looking to get some digital back. Maybe with the price rise we will get more influx of new people interested.
Yes, fully agree with you.

The v1 or "errors" always generally sold for more just because they were the first of the kind. I do agree that the v2s have a scarcity thing going for them. I think in the near future they will both be selling for about the same no matter where btc is at. My 2 cents.
I totally agree with you. If we look at the table published at http://www.spotcoins.com/bitcoin/casascius this coin is the rarest small denomination coin from the inception year 2011 For my understanding the price should be way higher...

It is a nice coin but i think 3btc is a bit high on your starting price. Is that the lowest you are willing to take?
For now yes, I told myself I would sell one when the price hit 1000 USD again. I don't have to sell it. It actually pain me to but I stick to my investment plan. What do you consider a "fair" price? My fair buying price is a lot lower. I repect your plan though, its just tough to guage prices when btc is whaling out. Good luck im sure there will be people interested as its a nice coin. Thanks for your feedback. Pricing of such coins is quite difficult due to the lack of price history and very limited market places for such goods. Nice coin indeed! Previous coins have sold for about 2 btc, 3btc is too hight. Might need to reconsider your pricing. If looking at the "scarcity" of this coin compared to the v1 error coin is around 1 to 10. A 1 BTC premium over the 2 BTC auction price of v1 seems not too excessive to me or do I miss something? Premiums on casasius coins dropped like crazy. Silver singles went from 3BTC to around 2BTC You know the reason or it's just because of the price increase of BTC compared to other currencies? Maybe we just need to wait a little longer for the price appreciate. If compared to rare gold coins the premium does not seems very high. I've very little knowledge about collectibles but I'm eager to learn more about it.

Can you post a picture that proves that you have the coin in hand? Like coin next to a piece of paper with handwritten forum name and date.
Something like this if @minerjones could integrate in the post, ty Perfect! Thank you. You're more than welcome, thanks for the help!

Is the pic in the OP a pic of the coin before it was graded? Because the title says that the coin is MS64. The coin is from the MS-64 reference type but not officially graded, sorry for the confusion.

Ok, I checked it out on my other broker account i placed a trade for 1 lot in spx500 entry long 1871.9 exit 1873.0 profit=1.10$ same trade at 0.01 lot (1/100) on simpleFX entry long 1871.3 exit 1872.7 profit=0.14$ so based on this test that had the almost same margin requirements of +/- 10$. SimpleFX is still 10x more expensive to trade at.

I investigated FXCM offer and compared their trading conditions to ours. It turns out thet 1 lot SPX500 at FXCM equals 0.1 lot at SimpleFX. You can see it by the pip value shown in attachments. With 1 lot position at FXCM you gain/lose 10 cents per pip. With the same position size at SimpleFX you gain/lose 1 USD per pip. I marked position size, pip value and margin requirements on both screenshots. Required margin at SimpleFX is indeed about 6 USD bigger. FXCM: SimpleFX Yes, would explain it :-) Let me check it again.

hi
I was very exited to find your site and to be able to trade in BTC with MT4.
After testing a few trades in demo I could not picture the margin requirements and had a chat with your friendly support.
Now while I would love to start trading with you I think the margin requirements are extremely high making it almost impossible to use your platform for trading. As an example using 1:100 leverage on SPX500 1 lot your margin requirement are around 850 USD for 1 single lot the same position with same leverage 1:100 with my usual brokers require around 8.7 USD. Your margin requirements for the same position is more or less 100x more than other brokers which for me is unfortunately a deal breaker.
I strongly believe that you have a configuration error on the margin requirements part of your setup as no serious trader will be willing to deposit this kind of money for a single lot.
I'm a full time day trader for the pass 6 years and a bitcoin enthusiast.
Thank you in advance for your feedback
Hello, if you are the kind person who I was talking with today about our offer compared to FXCM, then I sent you an email a moment later with some clarification. It turns out that very often 1 lot at SimpleFX does not equal 1 lot in other brokers offer because we use different contract size. For example on SimpleFX 1 lot on SPX500 equals 10 lots at FXCM. Thank you for the reply but even then it would still be a factor 10 more "expensive" to trade on SimpleFX. On another note I unfortunately did not receive your email.
