1  Economy / Securities / Re: Elastic Securities: a regenerative supply measurement of encrypted currencies on: October 02, 2017, 06:02:55 PM
Just seeing the replies.

1. Elastic securities are by design to replace the arduous and burdensome scientific grant process historically disadvantaged universities must navigate to receive a finite and unreliable supply of capital for discoveries. They increase the amount of capital available and provide a reliable source saving governments money doing so. Live charts of average fulfilled MSRP instead of fundraising thermometers or benefits hot swapped from federal budgets to incentivize market transparency.

2. By splitting the share value with a secondary market like BTC an elastic security offloads an industry’s worth of value realizing P/L from the secondary market.

3. Because merchants receive researcher’s fulfilled requests in fiat they allow for the adoption of encrypted currencies without merchants needing to accept them.

4. Because a request for a $2.1m DNA sequencer can be fulfilled as easily as a $5 pair of latex gloves they are a better measure of supply that isn't subject to inflation or hard forks.

5. The secondary market can be any market instead of BTC. AAPL’s market cap is well suited to realize P/L for expensive items; BTC is scalable.

6. An elastic security’s MSRP is the security and not the physical item. P/L is realized thru the difference in MSRP based on elasticity of demand not the appraised value of the item. An investor is purchasing a stake in consumer discretionary spending instead of claiming ownership to a research resource.

7. Resource requests are from a philanthropic brokerage that would receive a bank charter and broker-dealer license under full regulatory compliance and operate on balance requests and withdrawals instead of debits and credits. One financial product is the researcher account type to submit or schedule the requests, a hybrid of online bank and cellphone payment platform for researchers to track longitudinal usage; another is the index investors trade comprised of the sum of MSRP of unfulfilled requests divided by volume then divided again to the price of the secondary market. Many financial products can be made using these principals; science needs time not money so we're making as many researchers the most time ever made.

8. Researchers are issued the equivalent of an AmEx Black card with no spending limit or bill at the end of the month as traders are profiting from their intelligent spending habits by paying the bill. Lamborghinis and handsome mantle pieces are unnecessary for discoveries; DNA sequencers with very specific parameters are.

9. All fulfilled requests are chart annotated with requestor, item, price, merchant, and affiliated institution.

10. Elastic securities’ purchasing power parity works for nonprofits and research; the same principals can work for consumer goods however discoveries need to transfer IP into private industry before purchasing power parity is regenerative.

11. In pursuit of the bank charter and broker dealer license Elmhurst, the first philanthropic brokerage, is a 501(c)3 public charity that accepts donations in BTC and is spending this academic year acquiring disbursements to support summer longitudinal research; our objective is to create a beam of money measured in $/sec. Unlike loans the collateral in this case is a tax receipt up to 50% deductible.

12. Basic market formula:

0 = Δ(Σx-Σy/t)²
where
y = MSRP of fulfilled requests
x = MSRP of unfulfilled requests
t = time

Hi folks,

Papermache is an open access social academic publishing platform that for the first time expects to operate from donations made in BTC offsetting the subscription cost to libraries and institutions that use it. We allow researchers and students to legitimately share graded research papers and discoveries to establish a reputation under a creative commons attribution license making it easy for review and citation from their peers. We’ve made a number of developments in pursuit of comprehensive interdisciplinary academic research publishing power parity offsetting the traditional review and approve/deny process that journals use today. Most importantly is our quantified reputation that collects investment votes cast and received into a weighted moving average from comment annotations made on work that together with analytics on citations, views, etc. allow users to determine the value of peers and their work.

Donations to support Papermache are made thru our financing arm Elmhurst, a 501(c)3 that seeks to provide a reliable source of capital to historically disadvantaged universities. We are preparing to launch an ICO to scale contributions into a market with proper filings and in the interm will issue tax receipts.

Our build is live at www.papermache.fyi, we will be rolling out features like a citation generator in the most current styles, creative commons agreement, and analytics in the coming weeks. We have historic data from our first effort we will be reuploading soon. Have a look and report bugs and eventually publishing a research paper can be as editorially easy as publishing a website.

4  Economy / Securities / Elastic Securities: a regenerative supply measurement of encrypted currencies on: April 05, 2017, 07:52:45 PM
A security defined as the price of goods or services in a market corrected to the price of an encrypted currency. A market brokerage sends a retail brokerage requests for goods or services and the retail brokerage confirms traders' positions on the encrypted currency and sends the market brokerage the principals. The market brokerage fulfills the requests then sends the retail brokerage the updated market data. Retail brokerages realize investor gains or losses from the change in price of the encrypted currency and fulfilled requests.

Market brokerages serve one industry segment and brokerages can list competing indexes with retail brokerages. Market brokerages, retail brokerages, and traders profit will be taxed depending on the industry they serve.

The first market brokerage will serve nonprofits and tax exempt retail brokerages and traders profit.

Elastic securities allow merchants to accept fiat and increases encrypted currency adoption.

Elastic securities are a family defined as using purchasing power parity to trade price elasticity as a transactional security. An index is listed in USD corrected to an encrypted currency and consists of unfulfilled requests for goods or services. Traders open a CFD and carry a balance with the negative equity thereby allowing the principal to fulfill the request. Gains are realized from the encrypted currency network and fulfilled requests are charted. A brokerage makes a market of requests and processes transactions by licensing or selling the index to a listing brokerage, sending the updated price and chart activity in exchange for traders principals. Overhead is included in the requests and indexes can serve any market including profitable industries and be taxed accordingly.

Elmhurst, a philanthropic brokerage, will seek to license The ELM Philanthropic Index to US-based Ethereum exchanges at and serve research and open source software development. Because the industry is nonprofit, all successfully fulfilled requests will be annotated to include item, price, merchant, and requester. Brokerages serving profitable industries can forego this requirement in exchange for a profit formula. We expect to offer Routing Accounts to research teams and issue the equivalent of an AmEx Black card with no bill at the end of the month, all liquid.

6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Elmhurst: a philanthropic brokerage on: April 09, 2016, 04:08:03 AM
Hi folks, I would like to introduce a project I’ve spent a year and a half to prepare. Elmhurst is a philanthropic brokerage designed to finance academic research by bringing parity to academic researchers through an investment community. We use BTC as a peg to USD and determine our prices using the items necessary to purchase research resources.

It works like this:

Researchers initiate amounts required purchase an item for a study and we post that amount to the investor community.

The investor community sees this amount, and all other researchers’ initiated amounts, and determine a denomination to open a position in buy or sell - BTC is our buy denomination, USD is our sell.

Investors collect lots for each position, and we use the principal to fulfil the amount needed and collect our fee as markup.

Fulfilled amounts render on our live chart as activity and we annotate the items, their prices, the requester, and the vendor.

The investors’ lots make or lose value depending on the activity of the market.

Investors can then sell or buy their lots - the opposite of what they opened the position - and close their position at a profit or loss.

Investments at the chart level are double-blind and at the study level are single-blind and include disclaimer to avoid collusion and bias.

Our project is hosted locally, I’m happy to walk anyone through and take inquiries, registration, etc. Our first pilot study runs this summer.
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Open Source Exchange Protocol on: February 13, 2015, 11:27:31 PM
Hi folks,

I’m creating an open source exchange protocol designed to be used with open currencies like Bitcoin that uses the price of goods transacted as the basis for the activity.

Upon establishment of this protocol an industry of brokerages will be created that will embed the exchanges to process transactions in their selected markets.

There will be two equal exchanges:

BTC "buy" requests open positions and update candlestick charts in BTC equal to the price of an item transacted in USD at current exchange rates.

USD “sell” requests open positions and update candlestick charts equal to price of an item sold in USD.

Each processed transaction creates equal volume on both exchanges.

The processed transactions of each market's brokerages will update both exchanges across all brokerages.

Brokerages submit “buy” requests equal to the price of the item they are transacting at current exchange rates plus a percentage taken as profit, updating the BTC “buy” exchange.

Brokerages simultaneously submit USD “sell” requests equal to the price of the item without including the percentage taken as profit and update the exchange chart.

Brokerages exchange the bought BTC to USD and route the amount equal to the price of the item purchased to the merchant and the transaction is complete.

Candlesticks update on each exchange chart at selectable time intervals - 5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, etc. - determined by the brokerages.

Customers will use a brokerage to make purchases in each market depending on their needs.

Brokerages will use this exchange themselves and register purchases from profit generated processing transactions as activity.

This can potentially be used with any crypto-fiat currency split depending on what merchants accept.

Upon completion of this protocol I anticipate starting a brokerage to process transactions in the academic research market. You may choose a market in which to operate: entertainment, healthcare, transportation, technology, law, etc. and determine the percentages of each item’s price transaction processed to take as profit.

I have set up an IDE on Cloud9 and already have some help configuring this protocol. Upon completion we will post to GitHub for others to fork. If you wish to contribute, request an invite and feel free to join the discussion.
