1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happens to two factor if phone explodes on: February 21, 2015, 06:58:22 PM
Wouldn't the above post about using google only work for your google accounts, not block chain.info?

If I've already paired my phone, can I still copy the qr code or is it gone now?
2  Economy / Service Discussion / What happens to two factor if phone explodes on: February 21, 2015, 06:19:06 PM
I finally setup two factor for my Blockchain.info wallet. My question is, what happens if the phone I use (iPhone with google authenticator) gets destroyed or lost? How do I get into my account?
3  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / lowest $/ghs? on: February 12, 2015, 07:03:04 PM
Which mining unit has the lowest $/ghs cost? (not worrying about power consumption)

I've looked around an am having trouble figuring it out.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: miners running wirelessly in an outbuilding? on: February 12, 2015, 06:46:27 PM
Could I use this:

http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/tp-link-tp-link-300mbps-wireless-n-access-point-tl-wa901nd-tl-wa901nd/10199246.aspx?path=a68c080af18f3ca363e745a298fd2f6aen02

and just hook the sp20 into it?
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: miners running wirelessly in an outbuilding? on: February 12, 2015, 03:29:02 AM
would a 150mbps access point be enough? And I can't just plug the miner into the access point, I need a hub too?
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / miners running wirelessly in an outbuilding? on: February 12, 2015, 03:14:13 AM
Just wondering if it's possible to run a miner (notably an sp20) remotely in an outbuilding with wifi access to my router?  How would this be done?
7  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: February 10, 2015, 04:13:00 AM
payment came in, so that's a good start!
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Quiet, preferably wireless miners on: February 10, 2015, 01:58:44 AM
I've tried to convince the wife about the heating angle but it's not working lol

It sure keeps my office toasty Smiley

I moved my small amount of mining power elsewhere until the payment stuff gets itself in order.  I have no beef with the pool but can't be waiting and waitin for payment.

I hope things get resolved as I really like the interface and the help of the irc chat channel.

As for the 'scamdals' mentioned in this post.  "Meh"

Hasn't effected me and it doesn't seem to be valid.  (sorry guy that is posting all the 'evidence')

I guess what I'm trying to do is mine 'covertly' using 'free' power.  Right now the s3 is a little questionable but hasn't raised any eyebrows yet.

what 64ghs unit are you speaking of?
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Quiet, preferably wireless miners on: February 09, 2015, 11:13:42 PM
Just wondering which ASIC bitcoin miner would work with the following parameters:

Quiet (in the same room as me)
Preferably wireless, but can be ethernet.
The more power efficiency the better
If it comes with it's own PSU or it is built in, that would be great too!

I currently have a s3 that I got for $200 Canadian with a Power supply which seems like a steal, but would love to get more hardware.

Thanks!

How many days of not finding a block is considered bad luck? I think it's been three days now?
14  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: February 04, 2015, 02:56:38 PM
I first started in this pool yesterday at about 11am my time, and got paid today at about 8am my time.  I notice we got a block around that time, so I imagine that has something to do with the payment?

In any event, I'm happy to see that the payment thing is working itself out!

Just a question, I'm running an s3, is mining on port 3333 the best option or would I be better off on one of the other ports?  (I don't really understand the difference between the ports)....

Is this how it goes if the pool doesn't find a block for a long time?

I just bought a miner and this is the first pool I've tried.
