You missed the first no fee pool, www.bitcoinpool.com. No waiting, no fee's, no bullshit. Secure.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Class action Litigation vs. Bitcoinica Consultancy LTD & Intersango LTD on: July 14, 2012, 02:10:05 AM
You wont get your BTC, but you may be able to get USD.... But I highly doubt it. These people are already broke... Patrick and others have already started this.... Once they go bankrupt, you aint getting shiiiiiit....

Remember tho, you wont get the value of btc today or in the future...You'll prolly get the same value of btc when it was hacked, which was around $4.30 if I remember correctly.

Good luck!  Wink

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=86594.msg952218#msg952218

I will state that my involvement with Bitcoinica et al is nothing more than as a customer who deposited no more than a superficial amount of coins to try the service with. Those were withdrawn months ago and I now have a zero balance.
h00ters, you are spewing sentiment that very few people agree with, although one notable person who did agree was none other than the Bitcoinica hacker himself. Would you care to disclose your relationship with him, if any?

I do not care who agree's with me or not. I've done my research and come to this conclusion. This community is full of retards who THINK they know about bitcoin, when in fact most ppl dont have a clue. There is so much bullshit speculation in this community I could mop it up.

You = fucking retard. I'm not going hold your hand and show you my work and research. What other short selling services are out there? None other to my knowledge... kronos.io is still beta, thus its not active. Are there any other short selling services? Since the downfall of a service that de-values btc prices has gone up. If you can't see this, then I'm sorry you're blind as are many others. To me, there is a direct correlation to the downfall of bitconica and when btc price started to improve.

You need to stop trying to point fingers and take blame for your bad investment. Your sentiment and this thread is driving me crazy. I have been watching since this crap started to unfold. I have been in this community (not on these forums) prolly longer than most ppl. I don't like to get involved but your're clearly crying and wanting some attention.  STFU!
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we need a comprehensive guide for making SAFE bitcoin apps!! on: July 14, 2012, 01:34:55 AM
Don't know what you're goal is, but anything can be hacked with time. Using proper security techniques help, but anything can be by-passed. I.E 2-factor auth, dont use same passwords etc... Simple, logical things...

Tip, Don't believe everyone that says they are a security expert without any proof... I.E Patrick from Bitconica...
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Bitcoinica Hacker on: July 13, 2012, 11:57:02 PM
rjk, You're a true retard for trusting bitcoinica and devaluing btc via short selling. They get hacked for ~48k btc and you still trust em? Then another ~18k. Complete idiots to trust em after getting hacked the first time. Short selling is bad mmkay. So FUCK YOU for using bitcoinica and devaluing btc.

The hacker did the community a huge favor. The price of btc is up since.... so stfu and stop whining about it. You put your $$ into someone ele's hands who might I add are complete idiots and now its gone. booo-fucking-hoo.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interviews for Bitcoin Magazine on: June 24, 2012, 04:10:23 AM
- The guy that robbed bitcoinica

Which one? The first, or 2nd? They have been hacked twice, and there was a 3rd instance, but does not get talked about much...  Those incompetent fuckers!
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wikileaks "Bitcoins cannot be easily tracked back to you" WTF?? on: June 19, 2012, 05:25:41 PM
That's not true. The main problem isn't reusing addresses, it's merging outputs.
+1, instawallet FTW

The fact its online does not mean its secure. Security thru ob-security does not work. *sigh*
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So I guess MtGox isn't even trying anymore ... on: June 19, 2012, 05:14:05 PM
And I wonder why more ppl have not caught on to being Gox'ed. These fuckers are fraudulent!

On another note, There has been multiple times within the last ~6mo that the price per btc randomly dropped to like $2 per btc... then back up to normal price... They have closed my account and friends accounts for no reason and KEPT THE BTC.

Why are they popular, because of these forums... and others that have no idea of their history.

Gox, go eat a bowl of dicks!
9  Economy / Exchanges / Re: www.BITSTAMP.net Bitcoin exchange site for USD/BTC on: June 18, 2012, 02:16:39 AM
Hate to bring up an old thread, but do you guys answer your email through support?

Your math is incorrect for limit orders.

I want 12btc for 6.15, you say it will cost me $74.17, my math shows as $73.80. A $0.37 difference. Wtf is up here? Can you please explain?

Looks like fee is included in there.
https://www.bitstamp.net/fee_schedule/

DOH! I looked all over for this, dunno why I could not find it. TYVM! Smiley

So a suggestions guys......

So little confusing... I do a limit order... it shows the fee and I submit my order... then when I look at open orders.... the order value does not show their fee. They need to either add the fee, or put in another column that shows the fee, with a TOTAL, and not just the order value.. soo confusing....

I just want to ask, Was it worth it all you short-selling bastards?

btc is up compared to where it was a month ago. Fuck short-selling! Great job bitcoinica hackers!

That is all!
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Version 0.6.2 available on: June 15, 2012, 01:01:39 AM
lol VB6. It's called Qt and it's from Nokia: http://qt.nokia.com/
If you really have 11,000 transactions, why are you even using the GUI?

And if you know how to program in wx, you are welcome to maintain the old version. Luke-Jr will even help you set it up.

Happy I got some lol's out of the VB6 comment. Cheesy

So, run bitcoind instead of GUI you're saying?

Thanks!
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Version 0.6.2 available on: June 14, 2012, 06:40:50 PM
bitcoin-qt has a flaw when you have thousands of transactions It starts to be a CPU and memory hog. Plus it looks like it was done in VB6. The GUI is crap, please go back to one of the beta designs as it was far superior.

I'm running this on windows, setting the priory to low, and setting the affinity to only using 2 CPU's on bitcoin-qt.exe. No real change, still a hog.

The client started to become a more of a resource whore around the ~1000 transactions mark... not sure 100% tho. I'm a little over 11k transactions.. and doing more and more everyday.

I've tried multibit, and Electrum.. both sux imho...  May give multibit another try, but hate running java.. *sigh*

I know of a few other users with the same issue... From my conclusion it seems that the bitcoin client does not like to have thousands and thousands of transactions

Any suggestions?
15  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: MAJOR UPGRADE @ BitcoinPool.com ~ No Fees ~ Are you still paying to be a miner? on: June 21, 2011, 09:15:59 PM
Strong recommendation to avoid this pool.  The operators are rude, childish and extremely unprofessional.  Search their previous posts and see for yourself, many examples of swearing and unprofessional conduct.  Avoid!

You must be Mormon for fucks sake.  Roll Eyes

The operators proved that efficiency matters now the most popular miners are efficient and now EVERYONE benifits from it. stop your whining!

It's a free pool, what are you giving away for free?

Quote
It's a home operation, not a "real pool" in a data center.

However it's good variety when the bigger ones are down.

Wtf is a "real pool" then?Huh You have no idea what you're talking about....

Enterprise class servers on a dedicated business class fiber line, multiple UPS's, on multiple circuits for redundancy. In 42U racks in a secure location guarded by sharks with lasers and armed security. (I may have exaggerated with the sharks, but the rest is true.) Cool

What you may not realize is that lots of business start at home and expand from there. Many benefits with having hardware in the home compared to trusting someone else in a datacenter that may not be secure. I.E other hosts in same datacenter may not be secure and then the ability to compromise their systems and then eventually others. There are pro's and con's to each, but you may want to rethink what you said.

Plus you don't have to wait for techs to fulfill a ticket to work on your servers if something happens. You can walk out to your servers and fix it yourself.

16  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [NEW POOL & MINER] - BitcoinPool.com - Jump In! ~NO FEES~ :) on: April 02, 2011, 12:42:30 AM
I dont understand why xenon481 and slush continue to troll this thread. FUCK OFF! GOTO YOUR OWN GAWD DAMIT THREAD.

That is all. Smiley
17  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [NEW POOL & NEW MINER] - BitcoinPool.com - Jump In! on: March 23, 2011, 12:46:38 AM
I'm not sure why, but this pool seems to have lower earnings than slush's pool. after crunching some data from slush's pool, i found out that i make around 0.03 BTC per hour mining. However, i ran a miner for 1 entire day, and the "estimated earnings" is only 0.06 BTC.

Slush is taking BTC from the top when no one watches..... plus he has forced donations cause he a fucking douch! So there goes those earnings you just made. Smiley

This pool is prolly the most optimized from what I've seen. admins are pretty active too.

RTFM, search the forums. If you cant find yer answer, ask and I'm sure someone will chim in. Cool
