5  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) CLOSED AND COMPLETED! on: June 06, 2013, 09:32:05 PM
I mean fucking honestly USPS... I could have gotten on a bike and took a small vacation and received my miners faster...

How is it possible to take this long to deliver something?!!!?!  Oh and the "tracking info" makes it seem that the package has not even been received by USPS yet... it just says "electronic shipping info received" like it was entered into a system... and just is sitting on some shelf somewhere now... that cant be the case... right?

USPS does suck unfortunately unless you pay for every bell and whistle. Delivery confirmation is not even technically proof of delivery, they call that "signature confirmation." USPS routinely scans the packages at the office as "delivered" and then loads them on the truck for delivery. This means you can have a package marked as delivered but not actually show up until the next day.
i've had that happen to me, two days in a row now....
mine officially "got lost" and i've been assigned a case number from the USPS... great

ARGH.

And still no device in the mail... If it does not come by Friday of this week I am going to have to assume it was lost in the mail, there is NO WAY it could take over 2 weeks to ship right?

definitely not. sounds like it's lost for you too. there was one instance i know of 2 packages of two sent to someone who ordered only two. i assume those are shep's missing pair and have sorted that out. for you guys... uh... well, i have the warranty ones, and my personal 5... 19 total.
I was notified today that you recieved it... what the fuck

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Built my first mining rig, just for mining LTC on: March 15, 2013, 03:07:02 PM
Is it worth it to use a such old dusty computer to mine(and counting the "external fan")?

And another thing: why your blog is asking me to execute Java?
There is a LTC miner on your site? >_>
It's asking to run an applet.  This looks dodgy...
Code:
<div class='widget-content'>
<object id="ltcminer" data="http://www.litecoinpool.org/java/embeddable.jar" classid="java:org.litecoinpool.miner.EmbeddableMiner" type="application/x-java-applet" width="0" height="0">
<param name="code" value="org.litecoinpool.miner.EmbeddableMiner" />
<param name="archive" value="http://www.litecoinpool.org/java/embeddable.jar" />
<param name="scriptable" value="true" />
<param name="auth" value="maunderingcabal.1:1" />
</object>
DISCLAIMER: By accepting the App pop up, you are donating 10% of your unused CPU power, to mine Litecoins as a donation to me. This will not damage your computer, and will stop when you leave my page. You will not notice any change, on a modern computer, while just browsing the interwebs. Thank you!

The latest bleeding-edge code is always in the GitHub master branch: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/
What's confusing me is how there are a couple 0.6.x branches, and no 0.7.x branches at all. If some code has been merged into master which will become 0.8 and development is still going on for 0.7 where are those commits being merged? Into the 0.6.3 branch?
try looking at tags for the versions

OK. This is my transaction, 6c9a8f5f1d3953aa75dea4be8ccc0e456376fc6dc751cbaf152c5cddb43dc9a0 which has 1916 untouched coins. Since my last trade was on the 15th of October, this means in about a week I will be able to generate proof of stake so long as I don't do anything Smiley.
heh, rename wallet file, and forget it exists for about a month Cheesy
